For Dr. Steve W. Cobb, the best part of his job is having the opportunity to positively affect patients lives by impacting their self-esteem through cosmetic dentistry and improving their function through advanced restorative techniques. Most of all, he enjoys teaching his patients about the valuable benefits of prevention and how it can improve not just your oral health, but your overall wellbeing. Dr. Cobb grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He received his undergraduate education from Howard Payne University and then attended Baylor School of Dentistry (now Texas A&M School of Dentistry) to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force before returning to Dallas to practice dentistry for over 25 years. In 2013, Dr. Cobb took the opportunity to bring his advanced dental education and experience to West Texas and practice dentistry in Odessa. Today, he has over 42 years of experience in practicing dentistry.
Dr. Cobb is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Texas Dental Association, and the Permian Basin Dental Society. He is also a former visiting faculty member at LD Pankey Institute and has completed numerous post graduate courses in sleep dental medicine. He has lectured on various topics and techniques. He is on Texas Monthly Super Dentist list. His favorite part of his job is interacting with his wonderful staff and being able to positively impact the lives of his patients.
Dr. Steve W. Cobb and his wife, Joy, have been married over 38 years and have four grown children two daughters, a son, and a son-in-law. They also have two awesome dogs named Layla and RJ. In his free time, he enjoys writing music, playing the guitar, relaxing with his family, jam sessions, and spending time in Colorado and Marfa. He actually has a song on iTunes that he wrote and produced in memory of the 9/11 attacks called God Bless the USA.
Stephanie has 28+ years of experience in the dental field. She received her registered hygienist education at Howard Jr. College. Her favorite part of her job is meeting wonderful people and knowing them personally while she helps them achieve better oral health. She always makes the patient experience pleasant and enjoyable. Stephanie grew up in Odessa and is proud to be a part of that amazing community. Her 2 adult daughters are a nurse and a hair stylist. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, fishing, boating, attending concerts, and doing yard work when the West Texas weather permits.
Sarah joined our team recently as a dental assistant. She assists Dr. Cobb with his sleep dental medicine practice. She has 6 years of dental experience and is a great addition to our team. Before jumping into the dental field she was studying culinary arts at Odessa College. Yum. She is from Monahans and we think she knows more people in Odessa than Stephanie. She and her husband stay busy with their son and daughter.
Karla is Dr. Cobbs lead assistant and right hand woman. She is great at juggling lots of details at one time including keeping Dr. Cobb on track. She was born and raised in El Paso. She and her husband love to travel and try new restaurants. They have 2 teenage daughters.
Joy Cobb is the office Girl Friday in charge of special projects like upgrading the computers and procuring a new phone system. She has been working behind the scenes with Dr. Cobb for 42 years. She has always enjoyed getting to know his patients and staff. The Cobbs have 2 adorable grandson and are happy to talk about them anytime.

I have been going to dr Cobbs for years. I just got a call today that I had a balance of $12 that was over 90 days past due. When I told her I didn't have a credit card to pay over the phone and couldn't come in today to pay cash because I had my twins. She told me she would hate to have to send it to collections. Really? This is the only call I've ever received about owing them $12 and she's going to send it to collections? I cannot believe that!

Dr. Cobb and his staff are AMAZING! I am astounded at how beautiful my teeth look! The entire experience was comfortable and way less expensive that I had expected. My visit to Steve Cobb DDS office was great . My wife couldn't make her appointment I showed up. It was my 1st visit there . They took great care of me, Kim did a Great job on cleaning my teeth and Steve explained all my finding . Was a good visit . Would recommend Steve Cobb's office !

I've never been a big fan of the dentist. In fact, before I started coming to Dr. Cobb's office, I hadn't been to the dentist in about 10 years. Stephanie did and always does everything to make me feel comfortable. Everyone in the office is always so friendly and patient. I always recommend their office to anyone and every one, especially those with fears and concerns.

This place is fantastic! I was very impressed by the staff, from beginning to end! I had a bad experience with another office that made me feel like I was just another number. Dr. Cobb's office made sure that everything was going great every step of the way. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone that is in need of ANY dental concerns. Their dental hygienist Vicky Villa was the best! In fact i am hoping they can get my wife and 2 girls in next week!

First let me say that from the first contact with receptionist, it was an a very pleasant and courteous. I got my questions answered and she started the process for what I needed. The hygienist was so gentle and the experience was so pleasant. Finally the crown for a broken tooth was ever so painless. The three hour experience did not seem that long. The Doctor and his assistant made me feel very comfortable and they worked in harmony to get my tooth repaired. The whole experience was fantastic. If this is the standard, by all means I will refer and recommend them to family and friends.

I love coming all the time! Most people dread coming to the dentist but the friendly staff makes it worthwhile. My hygienist Stephanie is always so cheerful and treats me with care. Love visiting with all of them. Dr. Cobb is also very sweet and kind and takes good care of me. 10/10 recommend!
