Dr. Steve Kim received his specialization in Prosthodontics from Boston Universitys Goldman School of Dentistry. Formerly he graduated from Seoul National University. His guiding principles as a dentist are sincere consideration for the concerns of his patients and honest, professional advice for the best treatments.
Dr. Chreng was born in Gardena and grew up in Long Beach, California. After graduating from the University of California-Irvine with a Bachelor of Science in Biology she then attended the University of Southern California where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2010 on a military scholarship from the United States Air Force. She served 4 years active duty as a Captain at Travis Air Force Base and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. In her free time Dr. Chreng enjoys cooking, baking, and swimming.
Hyunsook Sue Huh is a dental hygienist at Steve S. Kim, DDS. She was born and raised in South Korea. She practiced as a dental hygienist since 2008. What Sue loves most about her job is caring for patients and providing them with the best care possible. She loves spending time with her husband and lovely daughter in her spare time. I received a dental hygiene degree at University of Southern California in 1998. For over 20 years of experience as a dental hygienist , I have always enjoyed treating and educating patients how to achieve and maintain a healthy smile. In my free time. Winnie Uyen Nguyen is a dental hygienist at Dr Steve Kim DDS. She was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam and moved to the U.S. in early 2002. Winnie earned a Dental Hygiene degree from Cypress College in 2008. Joining Dr. Kims dental office, Winnie brought over 10 years of working experience as a dental hygienist. Winnie takes pride in her care of the patients and nothing would make her more happy than seeing her patients oral health improve after each treatment. For her free time, Winnie enjoys spending time with her family to visit different counties and immerse herself in the cultures, local people and foods. Christina is a front office staff member at Steve Kim, DDS. What she enjoys most about working at this office is the emphasis they put on customer service. She is originally from Los Angeles, California but moved to Georgia for 6 years back in 2011, when her husband got stationed at Fort Stewart. Now that they moved back to California, you can find them enjoying the outdoors with their two dogs and trying new places to eat. She LOVES horror films and is going back to school to pursue her career in early childhood education.

You should choose a dentist who specializes in dental implants because they have the ability to ensure that your implants are placed properly. Poorly placed implants can and do fail. It is important that you seek out a specially trained dental provider such as Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim received an additional three to four years of dental training in implants to ensure that he understands them fully and how to place them. Dr. Kim is a competent provider and is ready to work with you to ensure you receive the best care and implants.
Dental x-rays are required before a dental procedure can be performed. The reason is because there are underlying problems that may be present or there could be issues deep in the bone. If a dentist does not take x-rays, then they do not know what the true problem is. Yes, they may be able to see a cavity, but they cannot see how far down it extends and whether a root canal is needed without the x-ray. X-rays help to prevent unnecessary procedures from being performed and they are considered to be safe overall and expose you to little radiation in the process.

Dr Kim has been my dentist since 2018 and I absolutely love him, and every single person that works there. If you get a chance, his wife, who runs the office, loves the national parks and will happily share opinions and recommendations. I went for my cleaning today and had the best hygienist k have ever had work on my teeth. She had the lightest touch and my teeth are squeaky clean. Dentists seem to be a dime a dozen, but Dr Kim and his staff are a cut above the rest.

This Dental office was God sent.All my dental office anxiety disappeared after working with this team. I met with the very kind Dr Steven Kim and he spent hours consulting with me for free gave me all possible options and came up with a favorable treatment plan. Then I met with Dr Jacob Choi who was gentle, Understanding and very knowledgeable. The front desk staff Maggie, Rosie, and Christina are the most warm people you will ever meet. I highly recommend this place and I'm taking my kids there moving forward.

I had a really amazing experience with Dr. Alice Chreng and her incredible assistants. I am pretty anxious when it comes to getting fillings from previous traumatic experiences with Dentists, but Dr. Chreng went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Not only was she very professional (with amazing bedside manner) but very nurturing. Her work was very efficient, and she finished five fillings in less than an hour. Also, PAIN FREE! What more can you ask for?! From the front desk staff, to the personal hygienist, everyone here is SO lovely. Highly recommend this office for anyone looking for a positive Dentist experience.

The staff is friendly and professional, they were able to reschedule me as needed since my insurance took forever to provide authorization. When I went in for my procedure I was out within an hour, once the numbness subsided, I found my bite nice and even without issue. Happy to have found a new dentist after moving to the area.

Having visited Dr. Kim's office half a dozen times since early this year, I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have found him and his very positive staff and fellow dentists. Dr. Kim is very reassuring, thorough in explanation, and extremely fair in his pricing for his services. I am extremely sensitive to oral pain, and every visit / procedure at his office has been outstanding. I cannot recommend his services enough!

After many years of bouncing around from dentistry to dentistry, I finally found the perfect place! Dr. Kim and his team are incredibly kind and dedicated to their patients. I have never felt so well cared for by any other dentistry. They always take the time to explain the procedures and the available options to ensure that their patients are choosing the care plan that is right for them. My favorite thing about this place is that they take special care to make sure that patients are comfortable during the procedures. I will be the first to say that I have an extremely low pain tolerance, but I was so relaxed during most of my procedures, that I felt as though I could fall asleep! Even those scary anesthetic shots that usually hurt at least a little were nothing more than the lightest of pokes. Dr. Kim and Dr. Chreng are incredibly skilled! I even had my wisdom teeth pulled, and I hardly felt a thing. Needless to say, most of my nervousness about the treatments went right out the window. Whenever I was still visibly nervous, however, Dr. Chreng and dental assistant Jasmine made a point of cracking jokes or telling stories, and it worked every time! The front staff was just as wonderful! They do an excellent job at easing financial concerns. Their explanations are always clear and concise, and they make sure to provide patients with a variety of payment options suited to their needs. Furthermore, they go the extra mile to provide flexible scheduling. They will even go out of their way to call patients who would like to finish their dental work as quickly as possible, and inform them of any appointment slots that happen to open up. I don't think I have ever had this pleasure before, and I can't express just how much I appreciated it. I came to them with a giant list of procedures I needed done, plus a very complicated problem with one of my molars, so naturally, I was extremely nervous at first. However, between their clear expertise and their charismatic and helpful service, all of my worries were put to rest. I now have a much healthier smile thanks to them. They have a client for life!

Such a wonderful experience, I was extremely nervous seeing how I hadn't seen a dentist in such a long time but from the moment I walked in, everyone greeted me with a big smile. Dr. Kim is such a caring person and it shows in his work and the work of all his staff. The whole time I was there, I felt so safe and comfortable. They love what they do and it shows tremendously, a big thank you to Dr. Kim and his staff.

After a traumatic event at another dental office, with a string of bad experiences, my friend recommended that I try her dental office, Dr. Steve Kim's office. I was nervous at first, since it had been about 8 years since I had dental work, but from the moment I made my appointment with the receptionist I felt at ease. She was very kind and answered all of my questions and took my concerns into account. She was no pressure, no nonsense, which was refreshing. When I came in for my check up the first person who saw me took place x-ray and she was so personable. She was the first person who helped set me at ease. Dr. Kim then evaluated me and developed a treatment plan. I felt confident that he was knowledgeable and had me in mind when developing my plan. He also was no pressure and I didn't feel like I was at a used car lot or anything. I was able to pay up front, which was nice as well, it ensured I would follow through with my treatments, which for a high anxiety client, it helps to know that I wasnt going to receive any surprise charges, which is how other dental offices have operated. I started with Winnie for my cleaning, who was VERY gentle and ensured I was comfortable the whole time. I am currently half way through my treatments and have been working with Dr. Chreng who is absolutely AMAZING! She is very accommodating and made me feel comfortable in her care. After my first treatment with her, I knew I had found my new dentist. She listens, answers my questions and her approach is very client based. I am so thankful to her. I wish I could write an entire article on how every single staff member at this office has changed my view on dental offices. I now walk in completely at ease knowing that the best hands in the south bay are heloing to preserve my smile. I sincerly recommend this office to anyone who is high anxiety or wants to have an outstanding dental experience. I owe them my smile.

Just got my crown in by Dr. Chreng and Evelin. They made the process super easy and made sure that I felt comfortable throughout the procedure, stopping to check if I was feeling any pain. The crown looks amazing and I could not be happier with the service.

I enjoyed my first time here greatly. The receptionist tells funny stories and the hygenist I was worked on by was very kind. Gave me some advice on doing something you enjoy for a career, as you spend 40+ hours in it.

My experience was excellent and the staff where very inviting. This was my first dental visit since leaving the military two year ago and it was nice being in an inviting environment. Dr, Kim was very informative about my oral exam, even provided me pictures to show buildup behind my retainer. Additionally, the hygienist loc was very gentle with the cleaning. I'm use to getting stabbed in the gums during my cleanings, but he didn't. Overall this was a great experience and I will be making this location my primary location.
