Dr. Steve Kim, DDS is passionate about providing patients with the highest quality, cutting-edge dentistry. His interest in modern, advanced dental technology and his dedication to lifelong learning allows him to present his patients with complex treatment plans with full confidence.
Dr. Kim received his bachelors of science degree in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of California at Berkeley. He went on to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California. Dr. Kim then returned back to northern California and has been practicing dentistry in Sacramento since 2001.
In an effort to stay on the leading edge of dentistry, Dr. Kim is involved in numerous postgraduate courses. In particular, Dr. Kims interest in dental implants and love for teaching led to his involvement with Apsun Dental Implant Research and Education Center, or AIC. Through AIC, he is able to share his expertise in implant placement surgeries as a hands-on instructor for other dentists. He also keeps up with the dental community by being an active member of the Sacramento District Dental Society, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. His participation in these dental societies allows him the opportunity to help the underserved children of the Sacramento community through the Smiles for Kids program.
The Carmichael Dental Group office is outfitted with the latest technology for optimum patient treatment, education, and comfort. Dr. Kim encourages his patients to be active participants in their oral health. Extraoral and intraoral photography, digital x-ray, and panoramic x-ray are used to help patients to understand their oral health and to visualize their treatment options. Patient comfort is extremely important to Dr. Kim, and he offers sedation for patients who are fearful or for those require extensive treatment.

For so many reasons, I recommend Northridge Dental to everyone I know. Dr. Kim is a perfectionist and sets high standards for the practice. Laurie and her office staff are incessantly pleasant. And Brenda's cleanings are the best ever! I love you all!

First of all both the Lori's up front, they are both awesome! Then there is the clinic dog that roams free and always comes to say hello, amazing! Dr. Kim and all the techs are great too. I would definitely recommend Northridge Dental .

I thought I needed a new crown yesterday, but dr. Kim suggested to change bites only. I already feel better with corrected bites. Also, I had done a crown replacement and cleaning last year. I felt comfortable about getting dental treatments here.

A GREAT COMPANY. Have been with a lot of these wonderful.people for 3 generations. Always feel welcome and cared for by all of the staff!! I do have FAVORITES but I think all are knowledgeable! I would advise anyone looking for a great dental.oractice to make an appt!!

Dr. Kim and his team are the best. Friendly, professional, punctual, and they take awesome care of their patients. Dr. Kim's work is also phenomenal. I had several problems that nagged me for years with other dentists. Since I started going to Dr. Kim more than a decade ago, everything has turned around. I'll be a loyal patient for life.

It's been years since I had a terrifying experience with a dentist, but it all ended today. I'm very thankful and grateful for the kindness that I was shown. Though I have lost out on carrying for my teeth in the past, I'm determined to do better now. I'm honored to apart of this new family.
