KianS Dental Studio stands for Kim and Steves Dental Studio. This is our passion, our love, and our dental studio that took 20 years in the making. I have been a dentist for over 25 years; yet, I still wake up every day feeling grateful to have the opportunity to help my patients achieve healthy and beautiful smile.
My wife Kimberly is the Director of Dental Hygiene Services and Faculty instructor at the Nova Southastern College of Dental Medicine. Kim has been in the dental field since 1986 as a Dental Assistant. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL in 1991. She practiced as a dental hygienist for 17 years from 1991 to 2007. In 2008, Kim join the faculty at NSU College of Dental Medicine. In 2009, Kim graduated with honors with her Bachelor of Health Science Degree from Nova Southeastern University.
Growing up in Taiwan in the 1970s, I have experienced my fair share of Torture Chamber and Third World Dentistry. The dentist did not have the compassion and skills to restore my dentition. It left me with a great deal of fear and anxiety towards dental care.
After having my own teeth restored while I was in dental school in the 1990s, I can not only sympathize, but I can empathize with my patients every day. Our team of professionals strive to provide excellent dental care in a personalized and comfortable settings. Our goal is to help you save and preserve your gum and teeth throughout your life time.
Dr. Steve G. Wang grew up in Plant City Florida. He was inspired by his uncle, Scotty Huang, who was the first pediatrician in PlantCity. Dr. Wang graduated from Plant City High School in 1988; upon graduation, he attended the University of Florida and finished in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. Following the families tradition of helping people through medicine, he continued with his dental education and graduated from the University Of Florida College Of Dentistry in 1996. Dr. Wangs sister is an anesthesiologist at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville FL, and his brother is a fertility specialist in New York City, New York.
Post-graduation, Dr. Wang further advanced his knowledge and honed his skills in comprehensive dentistry and dental occlusions by attending Dr. Peter Dawsons courses at the Dawson Center for Advancement in Dentistry in St. Petersburg, FL from 1997-1999. Dr. Wang owned and operated a boutique dental practice in Plantation, Florida for seventeen years where he focused on complex full mouth rehabilitation and also on advanced cosmetic makeovers. He spent 4 years with the Dental Associates of Winter Haven from 2013 2016. He has over twenty two years of clinical experience in general dentistry as well as in the area of Implant and Aesthetic Dentistry. Dr. Wang has the artistry for a gorgeous smile design.
To further attest his dedication to dentistry and desire to learn, Dr. Wang has clocked over 100 hours of seminars and training with Spear Education in the past year. Spear Education is a renowned world leader in advanced dental training and recognized for its stand of excellence. He is an active member of the West Coast Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the American Dental
Association, and the Spear Study Group. Dr. Wang has given numerous lectures on the subject of implant dentistry to ITI (International Team of Implantology) study clubs, and the Straumann Implant sponsored seminars. Dr. Wang is well versed in complex restorative implant dentistry.
Kimberly Wang CRDH (Certified Registered Dental Hygienist) grew up in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High school in 1986; upon graduation, she started in the field of dentistry as a dental assistant. She received her dental hygiene degree from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida in 1991. She furthered her education and graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University with a BS degree in Health Science in 2009. In 2013, she received her certification in administering dental local anesthesia.
Kimberly practiced as a dental hygienist in the private practice setting from 1991-2008. She joined the faculty at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine from 2008-2018; where, she served as the Director of Dental Hygiene Services, Clinical Instructor, and Program Director for the first year dental students. She also participated in the research of Dental Ergonomics in conjunction with the physical therapy and the occupational therapy programs at NSU.
Dr. Frank Laga was born and raised in Crystal River, FL. He then attended the University of South Florida and earned his Bachelors degree in Biomedical Science and a minor in General Business. Dr. Laga joined the US ARMY and then earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from LECOM Dental School in Bradenton. Dr. Laga met his wife during dental school and married her soon after. They transition to his first duty station at Fort Bragg where Dr. Laga later deployed with the 257 DCAS to Kuwait for nine months. Dr. Laga provided high quality dental care for all active duty military solders ensuring there medical readiness was a go. Dr. Laga is the father of two beautiful girls, Andi Oliva and Remi Kate as well as a yellow lab. After transitioning out of the US ARMY Dr. Laga and his family decided it was time to return home to Florida to be closer to their family.
Dr. Laga believes in compassionate and comprehensive dentistry. He provides high quality dental care to all patients and each patient can expect to be treated like family. He is a member of the West Coast Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the American Dental Association and a continuous student in the field of dentistry.

Made an appointment with Dr. Wang because of the referral of a friend/co-worker. I have not been to a dentist in close to 15 years because of a extreme fear of having dental work done. Had a really bad toothache and made the appointment. Had near panic attack in parking lot and waiting room. Meeting Kim and Dr. Steve put all my fears at ease. Experience could not have been better. Scheduled cleaning in a few days. Was referred next door for root canal. Excited about getting much needed dental work done. Couldn't imagine a better experience with a dentist and staff. If you are in need of a dentist, don't think, just pick up the phone and make an appointment.

Awesome staff and Dr!!! I am 6 months pregnant and had to have my Infected wisdom tooth pulled.. crazy combo, but the Dr and staff were SAFE and very comforting with me. They didn't take my insurance and I had to pay out of pocket but would do it 100x over for the excellent service they gave me!! 100% SATISFIED and pain free!!!

Dr. Wang and his staff, Especially Kim are just AMAZING!!!! So patient, so involved, so detailed. I learned more about my teeth and teeth, in general, that day than my entire life. It was a super clean facility and they take covid very very seriously with all the precautions they have in place. I have made the switch because my wife and son use them and I couldn't be any happier with my decision. Truly an awesome place and look forward to my next cleaning even though I won't get Kim again #pearlywhites!

OK, I've literally NEVER had a better dental visit in my entire life. And I've had A LOT of dental work done. Many, many bad experiences. I have SO much anxiety when it comes to dental work. NOT ANYMORE. Dr. Wang was AMAZING. He talked to me like I was his sister or his daughter. He gave me advice on what I should do, NOT BASED ON THE MONEY IT WOULD MAKE HIM, but based on what is in my best interest. This is an HONEST man. Running an HONEST practice. Not out to get your money and charge you for unnecessary work. I'm usually embarrassed and ashamed when I see a dentist because of the amount of work I have had done. He showed me his own crowns and fillings and reassured me that he, as a child, had the worst dental care. I truly believe he is passionate about giving people honest and good dental care. Thank you, Dr. Wang. I will be sticking with you for YEARS to come and telling ALL of my friends and family.

Highly recommend this office and it's team! Clean, knowledgeable, and top of the line care. The staff are always friendly from the the check in desk all the way through to Dr. Wang himself. It's been years since I have been to a dentist office simply out of distress from past experiences but after coming to Dr. Wang's office I truly look forward to my next appointment. Personally for me, a massive factor and influence for my recommendation to this office is because of the dental hygienist themselves. Melissa E. was the first hygenist I've seen in 10 years and she has absolutely won me away. It's because of her that I look forward to coming back because I know she will always take her time and give out quality care. Melissa is incredibly knowledgeable with different tips and tricks to better help my at home dental routine and just upon my third visit with her, my gums have drastically improved and my teeth feel immaculate! There is no doubt for me that Melissa has completely transformed my dental hygiene and helped eased my general anxiety towards cleanings. I look forward to continuing my care with her, Dr. Wang, and the wonderful front of the house staff Stephanie and Amber. It should also be noted that even in these COVID-19 woes, I feel safe in their office. Everyone has a mask, everyone is temperature screened upon walk in, Dr. Wang has even made his very own hand sanitizer, and Melissa again, had on a full PPE jumpsuit, wearing two mask and a face shield throughout my entire cleaning.

Dr. Wang is amazing! He has great bedside manners and takes the time to explain things and to listen to his patients. He recommends what is best for the patient and not what is best for his pocket, literally. His staff is amazing too!

Dr. Wang and everybody working with Dr. Wang are amazing. I have been going to his office now for 1 year and have had extensive work done. Everybody has gone out of their way to answer all questions (numerous times) and make a normally anxious dental person extremely comfortable. Dr. Wang explains everything intricately, never judges, is comforting and his dental knowledge and abilities are excellent. He and everybody in the office have gone above and beyond anything I have ever expected. Just recently I had major tooth pain and they fit me in even though they are all extremely busy. They worked on me all day, got me in for a root canal and waited for me to be done to finish their work on me. On top of it all we even let out some cheers when I got back (it was a difficult day). This was an appointment that basically lasted from 9 am until 6:30 pm. Thank you so much Dr. Wang, Stephanie, Yesenia, Christy and everybody else at the office.

Dr. Steve Wang is hands down the best Dentist I've ever been to. I went in for a second opinion on a molar extraction and left with an implant on the same day. My past experience with implants is that it is a lengthy process that can take up to 6 months to complete. He confirmed that the tooth needed to come out, explained my Options and made me feel right at home. He very carefully extracted the tooth with a method I'd never seen before all in the interest of preserving the bone. He cured the infection with a state of the art Laser Surgery immediately after the extraction. He put in the implant and then he did a Bone Graph to build up the bone around the implant. He sutured up the area around the implant and took an X-ray of the completed surgery and I could hardly believe what I was seeing. It looked as though there was no extraction and the implant was there the whole time. Thank you Very Much Dr. Steve Wang and everyone at the office for making my wife and I feel welcome at your Beautiful State of the Art Facility. We look forward to having you take care of all of our dental care from now on.
