Dr. Douglas graduated in the top 8% of his dental school class at Indiana Universitys School of Dentistry making him eligible for the national honors dental fraternity Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He is also proud of his memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Indiana (IDA) and Indianapolis (IDDS) dental associations. Dr. Douglas has been in practice at his current location since 1991 and has continued his education with hundreds of hours of classroom and clinical studies.
Dr. Douglas has been married to Heather since 1992 and has two children Breck and Timothy. Always one to work with his hands, Dr. Douglas is constantly on the hunt for his next around-the-house project. He also enjoys traveling (especially to beaches), golf, and water activities.
April is the proud mother of triplets: Taylor, Andrew, and Madison, all attending college. April and her husband, John, have known each other for over 35years and have been married for 29of them (wants you to believe she was a child bride).
Beth joined us in September 2021. She comes to us from MyEyeDr as a patient service coordinator/trainer where she handled scheduling, claims, etc. Her strong organizational skills and friendlinessare a wonderful fit for our office needs.
Chandler joined us in 2019 while she was taking dental assisting @ Central Nine while at Southport High School. She graduated early with college credit Dec 2020,attendedUniversity of Indianapolis for 2 semesters and is now studying at IUPUI.
Destiny joined us July 2021. She is graduated fromFranklin Dental Assistant School and is also studying at Ivy Tech working towards a degree indental hygiene! She is a quick learner and enjoys keeping busy by assisting theDr with patients, working in the lab & organizing in the front office. She enjoys fishing and kayaking in her spare time.
Emily did her college studies at the University of Southern Indiana graduating in 1998 with an Associate degree in Science and in 1999 with a Bachelors degree in Science focusing on Dental Hygiene Education. She has worked for Dr Douglas for over 20 years and especially enjoys using dental hygiene instruction to help patients enjoy better overall health.
Heather provides administrative and consulting services for the practice. Heather has a management degree from IUPUI's Kelley School of Business and brings with her many years experience in bank management.
She loves nature, swimming/reading, volunteering in the community andcaring for others. Heather really enjoys getting to know all our patients and can help with all your insurance and billing questions.
Wendy is originally from Fort Wayne, IN where she graduated with her AS in dental hygiene in 92 and her BS ED in 95. She also received a certificate in Post Graduate Studies in Preventive and Community Dentistry from the IU School of Dentistry in 2001.
Wendy has worked for Dr. Douglas for 20years, and really enjoys her role helping patients achieve and maintain their oral health. She loves the relationships that she has formed with her patients over the years and feels that dental hygiene has been a rewarding profession.
