Stetzel Dental Group was founded in 1956 by Dr. Robert Stetzel. In the over 65 year history of the practice, our mission has remained the same, now with four doctors and an incredible team dedicated to making your experience at the dentist an enjoyable one.
Stetzel Dental Group offers a wide range of treatments for patients of all ages. We know that children, adults, and seniors each have unique needs and concerns, and stand ready to do everything in our power to make each of our patients feel comfortable and relaxed. We also have experience treating special needs patients.
Dr. Mark is widely known for his clinical skills that have shown to yield consistently exceptional results. He joined the practice in 1984, following in the footsteps of Dr. Robert Stetzel, founder of Stetzel Dental Group. Having been in practice for over 35 years, Dr. Mark has grown the family practice into the state-of-the-art facility that it is today, allowing the team at Stetzel Dental Group to stay at the forefront of dental technology.
Dr. Stetzel earned his doctorate degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1984. He attained his undergraduate degree in Biology from Indiana University in Bloomington in 1980, and he graduated from Snider High School in 1976.
During his free time, Dr. Mark enjoys traveling with his wife of over 30 years, Laura, and spending time with his daughters Jill and Leah, both of whom followed in his footsteps. He also enjoys playing tennis with friends and his son-in-law Jake, and gathering with his brother Eric for their weekly dinners. Dr. Stetzel is a skilled pilot, another hobby he shared with his father. Spending precious time with family while pursuing professional excellence has proven to be a rewarding balance for him.
Dr. Stetzels service to the dental profession is extensive and unmatched. He is the only practicing Indiana dentist to be a past President of both the Indiana Dental Association and the Indiana State Board of Dentistry. He is honored to mentor others aspiring to serve patients and the profession that has meant so much to the Stetzel family.
Dr. Jill Torkeo joined her familys practice after graduation from the IU School of Dentistry in 2019. Since joining the profession, Dr. Jill has found her passions in restorative dentistry, crown and bridgework, same-day smile makeovers, and aesthetic work. Her favorite part of coming to work is getting to interact with the patients that her grandfather Dr. Robert Stetzel cared for while creating happy and healthy smiles.
Dr. Torkeo followed closely in the footsteps of her heroes, her father and grandfather. After graduation from Bishop Dwenger High School in 2011, Dr. Jill attended Indiana University in Bloomington where she earned her degree in Biology and minor in Psychology. She then attended the IU School of dentistry, where she graduated with her DDS degree. During dental school, Dr. Jill was involved in many student organizations, where she honed her leadership skills. She was a proud student member of the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association (for which she served as Chapter President and National Regent), the IUPUI Court of Student Governance, the University Hearing Commission, the Indiana Mission of Mercy, and the IUSD Professional Conduct Committee, among many others.
In her free time, Dr. Jill enjoys cooking, watercolor painting, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband and high school sweetheart Jake and their puppy Luciana. She also loves to spend time with her family, and enjoys learning with and from her younger sister Leah, who is in a post-doctorate program in Orthodontics at the Ohio State University.
Dr. Jessica Jarboe joined the Stetzel Dental Group team in 2007. A graduate of Elmhurst High School as Valedictorian, Dr. Jarboe received her undergraduate Chemistry degree Cum Laude from IPFW in 2003 and her DDS from the IU School of Dentistry in 2007 , first in her dental class with Highest Distinction.
Growing up with a father in the Navy, Dr. Jarboe was born in Maryland and traveled all over the country before settling with her family in Fort Wayne. She and her husband of 9 years, Ryan, have a son Declan who keeps them busy. In her free time, Dr. Jarboe enjoys cheering on the Colts, Pacers, and Hoosiers, and spending time with beloved friends and family.

Stetzel Dental Group is always great! I have been going there since sometime in the early 80's and still do! All the doctors I have seen have taken the time to explain things and understand my needs. I highly recommend them!

The Stetzel Dental Group is the best, most friendly and professional dental group in the city of Fort Wayne When our family dentist retired after 30 years, we struggled to find the level of care we were use to experiencing, until a family member shared with us the Stetzel Group. All the hygienist are friendly and attentive to my comfort while cleaning my teeth. I trust Dr. Jarboe with all my dental care and enjoy our conversations about Colts football. I will miss the receptionist Lisa, who retired after 35 years. This group of people will add sunshine to your day.

I just moved here from Indianapolis and I was very pleased with my new patient visit. The staff was kind, thoughtful and explained things very well. Alyssa the dental hygienist was awesome and very knowledgeable, providing education about my dental health that I wasn't aware of. The dentist was kind and it didn't feel rushed at all. Would highly recommend.

I love this place. I have been coming to this establishment since I was a little one. My 6 year old son use to go here, but he is a gagger and it made it impossible for the dentist to be able to work on him so he now goes to Fort Wayne Pediatric Dentistry right down the St. I cannot wait for him to be done with there though so he can come back to Stetzel! Nothing short of a great experience at this place.

As a recently retired dental specialist, I take notice of the overall functioning of a dental practice, especially the little things that non dentist might not notice. The Stetzel Dental Group passes even the most rigorous evaluation this prior military officer could muster. I highly recommend them, their professionalism and patient care is exemplary and the profession of Dentistry is made better by the Stetzel Dental Group.

Only gave 4 out of 5 as prices seem higher than market and insurance coverage less than bill. Maybe this is par for the course, but I try to watch every $ I spend. Care has been pretty good, but could improve some on front desk side at times as they seem to busy to care about questions and are just like have a seat. Hygienists have always been amazing and really show they care and address your concerns and give you detailed information on procedures and why. So thumbs up and you have continued to earn my business.

I've never had a bad experience here and they do good work. Even when I had some issues with a filling not quite setting right, they fixed it quickly and with a good attitude. I bring my kids here too and they are friendly and accommodating to the little ones.

My last 2 visits involved a crown (temporary and permanent visits) with Dr. Hemphill. Everything could not have gone smoother. The discomfort was minimal; the time spent in the chair was as predicted; Dr. Hemphill and staff were courteous and friendly with concern for my comfort. I was very pleased.

As a new patient, I was extremely happy with my entire experience at their practice!! All of the staff was professional and courteous. My appointment was right on time. Dr. Hemphill did an AWESOME job repairing two chipped teeth. She was very thorough and explained all of my options. The results were fantastic!! Thank you.

These guys are awesome!!! It was my first visit today and everyone was so friendly!!! All my x-rays from my previous dentist were explained to me in detail and they thoroughly checked each tooth to make sure all their records were current. Really great people!!!
