Dr. S. Bret Cope graduated from The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy in 1990. He then attended The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree in 1996. He then completed his General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He began his private practice in The Woodlands in 1997.
Dr. Chanda Costello earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Washington State University. She then went on to attend Oregon Health and Sciences University, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2008.
Dr. Costello enjoys focusing on her patients individual treatment needs and providing them high quality dental care in a way that makes them feel comfortable. She believes that a healthy smile is vital to a patients overall health and self-confidence and loves partnering with her patients to help them achieve this. Dr. Costello also enjoys building long term relationships with her patients and investing in their oral health.
Dr. Costello and her husband have three young children- a daughter and identical twin boys. Outside of practice she enjoys spending time with her family, visiting new places, cooking, and making her amazing tiramisu.
Dr. Malik moved from Columbus Ohio to College Station while in middle school. After graduating, he was attended the University of Texas, graduating magna cum laude with a with a B.A. in Microbiology. He then attended the University of Texas Dental School in Houston.

10/26/22 Awful billing department and customer service! No excuse to go into after 6 months and told I owed after they verified my insurance. They sent me no bill or notification during that time. They made me pay a higher fee on my follow up and said they no longer accepted my insurance. I called my insurance and even connected them with the office and they still didn't resolve the issue. Additionally, on 10/26/22, the Representative abruptly hung up the phone on me today, because I said I would not make an appointment, that was UNPROFESSIONAL! HORRIBLE SERVICE

STAY AWAY - I used to a patient at this dental place and today I confirm why I stop coming all together. ALL THEY CARE IS ABOUT MONEY AND NOT TO PROVIDE A HEALTH SERVICE. I called them today asking the cost for a simple dental cleaning, at the moment I don't have dental insurance, the first girl that I spoke to say that they call sell me some kind of insurance, I say to her all I want is a simple cleaning and cost! Well she said about $200-300 dollars, my respond was why so high for a simple clean to hering? her answer was it is the law to do X- Rays t, then she. , I reply wow now the government requires X-Rays? She put me on hold fue about 5 minutes. A second person/bully comes to the phone and basically said that at this dental office they require X-Rays and full cleaning service. If I don't have insurance the entire service cost will be out of pocket. One more time I said all I need is a simple cleaning, then she said that they require X- Rays for new patient, I am not a new patient I said at the moment all I needed is a basic cleaning, then she ends help the call by saying thank you for calling and hanging on the phone. If I could I will give Sterling Ridge Dental a zero rating. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLEACE.

Comical. I've been a patient here for at least seven years. It's been a long time. I recently had a change of insurance and called them to give them my new information prior to my upcoming appointment. I kindly asked that they call me before my appointment to go over my out of pocket costs with me. The week goes by and I hear nothing. I call at 8:00 a.m. the day of my appointment to ask about the costs. I'm placed on hold and then told the appointment will be free. Awesome! The day goes on and I get a splitting migraine around 10:00 a.m. so I call them back and ask if we can reschedule to the following week. I also ask if this will cost me anything. I'm told "no, we can reschedule." Awesome! Then I receive a voicemail that they will actually have to charge me $75 dollars for rescheduling day of. Are you joking? I went from having a free appointment to paying $75 because of an unforeseen health circumstance. This is what made me the most upset: I asked if they would honor not charging the $75 since someone already told me they wouldn't and the receptionist responded with, "we won't charge you since you have such a problem with this." I've worked in many client-facing roles and this is absolutely not how you handle an upset customer/client. There was no empathy, no understanding of unforeseen life events, and a condescending tone to top it off. She said this was the third time I've rescheduled. When I asked her for the previous dates, she brought up one from 2016..... SIX years ago. This dental provider is a wonderful place to receive services if you anticipate nothing happening to you ever day of an appointment.

Dr.Malik was fantastic! My son had a bad experience with a previous dentist and Dr.Malik was so gentle and kind, now he is not afraid to come to the dentist! Bettina did an excellent job on his cleaning as well! Just a wonderful office!

The technician cleaning my teeth was very good. She frequently applied the suction so that I didn't feel like I was drowning like some do. The doctor was nice but was very brief.

I cannot say enough positive things about Sterling Ridge Dental. From the moment I called to book my very first appointment to the end of my first appointment. The experience was hands-down the best I've ever had. The staff is so nice and very professional. Every step of my appointment was explained to me along the way. The charges that my insurance was going to pay versus me were broken down and explained thoroughly. The office is super cute and they make you feel right at home. I'm so grateful I found an amazing dentist again. Thank you Sterling Ridge Dental!!
