Dr. Robert Sterling Rehl worked as a dentist in Kentucky and Ohio prior to moving to Montana. His active duty service in the US Army Dental Corp took him to Afghanistan where he ran one of the nine dental clinics there. Dr. Rehl met his wife, Lynn, at Ohio State University. They share 24 years of marriage and have six sons and one daughter. Dr. Rehl enjoys watching their youngest four children navigate the Millpond Moto X track and the down-hill runs at Turner Mountain. He enjoys many of the outdoor opportunities Lincoln County affords including: fishing, shooting, hunting, water skiing, hiking and boating. Dr. Rehl enjoys showing his team and patients what is possible. He has post-graduate training in orthodontics, oral surgery and 3D-guided implant dentistry.
After an extended 5 year search for the best place to raise a family and practice dentistry, Dr. Rehl and his wife chose Libby. Many people still ask Dr. Rehl, What brought you to Libby? He always responds, The people! While serving on active duty with the US Army, Dr. Rehl made several recon trips to Libby with the specific purpose of evaluating the characteristics of this little town as a place to call his permanent home. He subscribed to local papers and followed the news cycle and events even while stationed in Afghanistan. He came to several community events during different months throughout several years. He even came to drive the back roads in the winter of 2013 to see how winter is handled by this little town. He found out that Libby has GRIT and that this little town doesnt QUIT. It has many of the traditional values of the small town Dr. Rehl grew up in - a town where people have not forgotten how to help one another and lift where they stand.

Karen is a Libby native, is new to Sterling Dental, and came to Sterling Dental after 20 years in retail at Shopko. She is married to her high school sweetheart of 24 years and together they have two beautiful grown children, a son and daughter. Karen loves the outdoors, fishing, hiking, camping, gold panning, but most of all just spending time with family.
Lora joined the Sterling Dental Team in 2017. She has 32 years of medical/surgery experience and DANB certification CDA. She enjoys working with our team. We have a great mixture of professionalism, knowledge, compassion, and fun. Lora's favorite thing about our office is having patients visitwho are fearful or have had bad dental experiences and having them leave comfortable and feeling like they have a new friend that cares!
She married her college sweetheart 35 years ago and they have two handsome grown boys. When away from the office she loves to quilt, hang out with her horse, Gracie, and play with Wylie, the best chocolate lab in the world. She has been a volunteer with the American Red Cross for 6 years as a Disaster Team Supervisor.
Stephanie was born and raised in beautiful Libby, Montana. She has been part of Sterling Dental since Nov 2016. Stephanie has been trained to assist with 3D guided implant cases at the Engel Institute, NC. She has been assisting for 7 years and loves all of it. Stephanie manages all of the office clinic supplies. She feels blessed to be able to care for patients who she has known for years in her home-town community. Her favorite area of dentistry is implants and surgeries.
Stephanie has three energetic young boys who keep her very busy. She and her family enjoy getting out and exploring the vast mountain areas and taking advantage of the summer lake days. She is happy to be surrounded by family and close childhood friends and loves to watch everyone grow up together.
Tonia was raised in beautiful Montana. Her passion for dentistry started in 1996 when she began work as a pediatric dental assistant. She enjoyed helping people achieve happy, healthy smiles for over 19 years. She continued to build on her experience and education by achieving a life-long-dream of becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) She graduated from Great Falls College MSU with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Tonia enjoys working alongside the talented staff at Sterling Dental in Libby MT.
Tonias goal is to provide comprehensive hygiene care and address each patients individual need. When Tonia is your hygienist you can expect a gentle but thorough cleaning and you will always be greeted with a smile. The best part of her job is meeting and getting to know the people she cares for - establishing trust and lasting relationships.
In her free time, Tonia enjoys fishing, boating, and spending time with her family. You can always expect to hear stories about her new granddaughter or her adventures exploring all that Montana has to offer.
You might recognize Talon Rehl if you have watched Libby Logger Football. Talon assists with after-hours dental emergencies. He supports the dental assistant team in sterilization and room turnover. Talon is also on the snow removal crew - he helps make sure sidewalks are clear and safe for patients. Talon loves playing football, skiing at Turner and riding his dirt bike.
Libby is located in the Kootenai National Forest, between the Cabinet Mountains to the south and the Purcell Mountains to the north. Located downstream from the Libby Dam and in the heart of the Kootenai Valley along the Kootenai River, there is no doubt that its rugged mountain scenery draws outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.

I'm so blessed to have been referred to Sterling Dental by a renowned Montana ER MD. WOW: the best in care, compassion, expertise, thoroughness as the finest SF Bay, Roseville-Granite Bay CA dentists. The wonderfulness of this practice begins with Karen, a warm, caring-from-the-heart woman, at their front desk. Tonia, my new hygienist is thorough and super sweet. The piece de la resistance is Dr Sterling Rehl himself, wow wow, !!!knowledgeable, loves his clients and being the best at what he does. He is. And He's connected with the best ...endo etc. I am so fortunate, blessed to have found the paradise of Libby, Montana and this super fine dental practice, plus tip-top health care providers in my dream town of Andy Griffith's, Mayberry. Asked two times if they were in network with my insurance and was told yes both times. Was lied to both times. They were out of network and I will end up paying $300+ more due to their lies. Update Sterling informed me to fix the cavities I have will run me $1767 before insurance. So I asked Comfort Dental in Kalispell for a second option. I contacted Sterling 3 times to send records and they were having "issues" and never attached them to the email to Comfort dental. Comfort dental inform me even with out insurance they would charge me under $250 and about $100 with insurance. They also did X-rays for free because they were tired of waiting on sterling. So I walked out of Comfort dental owing $53.20 had no problems with insurance, no discomfort, and all the issues fixed other then owing sterling dental around $300 for a cleaning.

I just found my new Dentist!! I cannot express how grateful I am to this team. They were so warm and welcoming to me (a new/emergency patient) I was very scared having to see someone new, and now, they'll never get rid of me. Sterling Dental is amazing. Dr. Rehl has taken care of all my family's dental needs. It's wonderful to finally have a dentist in town who has up to date technology to be able to diagnose any dental issue without having to drive to Kalispell all the time.

I have used Sterling Dental and highly recommend them. They worked on my teeth while I was in Montana on vacation. They were willing to see me immediately. I was having a problem with a cracked tooth in front and they took care of me promptly, with compassion and I am pain free.

Absolutely love this place...When you think of the dentist, you think, pain, discomfort, expensive! But this place and staff are such an amazing group! They will try their hardest to make you as comfortable as possible, Sterling is hands-down one of the best in the business...They are accommodating, they will figure out what is the best PERSONAL plan of action for you, and work with you on your day-to-day busy schedule, with one goal in mind...Your dental health! You'd think that they payed me to write this;)

The staff at Sterling Dental are miracle workers. I was not an established patient yet they squeezed me in to extract a fractured tooth on a Friday. Dr. Rehl kept me comfortable during the procedure and the entire staff were kind and compassionate. Thank you Sterling Dental.

The team at Sterling Dental are fantastic. I beleive that everyone there loves their job which provides a positive atmosphere. All team members are professionally trained and I beleive Libby is very lucky to have them. I beleive that my case probably was a little more complicated than an average case of dental problems. My teeth are getting restored to where I feel comfortable again. Veterans are warmly welcomed and advocated for. Thank you all Kim Bauer
