Dr. Geneux is a born-and-raised Shreveport native, and graduated from Captain Shreve High School in 1998. For college, he attended Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology. In the year 2007, he continued his education and went on to graduate from the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans.
As a child, Dr. Geneux spent a lot of time in hospitals and was often in and out of cancer wards. He knew from a very young age that the medical field would be his future. He craved connecting with people and improving the lives of others and, with dentistry, he was able to accomplish that. Since then, he has committed himself to excellence and continues to strengthen his skills as a dentist, husband, and father.
Dr. Geneux is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He enjoys giving back to the community and has a special interest in developing long-term relationships with patients by providing a relaxing dental environment.
Dr. Porter was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and attended Centenary College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He continued his studies at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and graduated in 1985. The same year, Dr. Porter moved to Shreveport with his wife, Sarah, and were blessed with two beautiful children thereafter.
Dr. Porter has a 27-year-old daughter, Madeline, and a 25-year-old son, Sam. Madeline plans to follow in her fathers footsteps and is also practicing dentistry at a school in Lafayette, while Sam is a Project Account Manager for Koch Industries in Wichita, Kansas. His youngest child, Remi, is a Chocolate Labrador who is the most loyal and loving companion (other than Sarah) a man could ever have.
Dr. Porter has been practicing dentistry in Shreveport for 32 years and is a member of the American Dental Association and the Louisiana Dental Association. He continues to remain current in modern trends and advances by attending continuing education training courses each year. He also volunteers through St. Lukes Medical Mission to provide dentistry to those less fortunate.

I had a broken tooth and I saw Dr Kasem and he was such a great dentist. He explained all my different options. He was the nicest dentist I've ever been to and I have always had a phobia of the dentist but him and the whole staff made me feel welcome and cared for me the whole time. I would highly recommend Dr Kasem and the Sterling dental office. Deff will be going back.

Overall a good office . However I would not mail payments to their office . Some problem with their post office mishandling mail.

The staff is very friendly, from the ladies at the front desk, to the hygienists, to the dentists. They take care of you and help you keep your teeth and gums healthy. I would definitely recommend Sterling Dental Center to anyone that is looking for a dentist.

Dr. Porter and the staff at Sterling Dental have been my choice for all my dental needs for about 15 years. In that time, I truly feel as if I'm going to see long time friends. Whenever I have had problems they have always worked to resolve them to my satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone who need a dental care!

The hygienist was very pleasant and accommodating. I had impressions made for dentures, and that lady was pleasant as well. The dentist, Dr. G., was informative about my dental X-rays. Overall, very positive visit.
