MISSION:Sterling Area Health Center will utilize teamwork and partnership with our patients to provide high quality, comprehensive primary care, dental, and behavioral health services for the entire community, with emphasis on the medically underserved.
VALUES:We are a comprehensive team including multidisciplinary health care providers, support staff, and a volunteer governing board devoted to providing high quality, cost effective, holistic health care services in a fiscally responsible manner, regardless of the patients ability to pay. We are responsive to the communitys needs and strive to reduce barriers in planning and providing prevention oriented health care. We are committed to pursue excellence in compassionate health care regardless of age, gender, or life circumstance.
The personal physician is responsible for providing for all the patients health care needs or taking responsibility for appropriately arranging care with other qualified professionals. This includes care for all stages of life; acute care; chronic care; preventive services; and end of life care.
Care is coordinated and / or integrated across all elements of the complex health care system (e.g., subspecialty care, hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes) and the patients community (e.g., family, public and private community-based services).
Care is facilitated by registries and other information technology to assure that patients get the indicated care when and where they need and want it. And that the care is provided in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
The Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) is an approach to providing comprehensive care for children, youth and adults. The PCMH is a health care setting that facilitates partnerships between individual patients and their personal physicians, and when appropriate, the patients family.
Practices advocate for their patients to support the attainment of optimal, patient-centered outcomes that are defined by a care planning process driven by a compassionate, robust partnership between physicians, patients, and the patients family.
Practices go through a voluntary recognition process by an appropriate nongovernmental entity to demonstrate that they have the capabilities to provide patient centered services consistent with the medical home model.

Incompetent from the dentist to the billing clerk. If you have insurance go elsewhere. If you have something other than a filling you'll be referred to a specialist. That's because this facility is for Medicaid patients with no choice.

I had my first cleaning in about 10 years. I was terrified of dentists for a very long time due to childhood experiences, but because of the build up on my teeth and my poor gum health, I knew I needed to get in. Angie was so patient and answered all of my questions and concerns. She talked me through the entire cleaning and made every aspect of it more comfortable by being kind, and telling me exactly what she was doing step by step. My teeth have never felt better, and I'm so glad I stuck with it and finally got my first of many cleanings done at Sterling Area Dental. I will be back from now on for every cleaning or dental concern. Thank you Angie!

It is just a dental mill. Never see the dentist himself and their service for partials is awful even after you are telling them they don't fit, they send you home with I'll fitting plates.

The people are nice and informative. Learned things other dentist's never shared with me. But my mom has a bone bruise in her mouth from her dentures, they do nothing but hurt her. and they won't refit her mouth for dentures that fit properly. so 1star because my mom is miserable and has a swallow problem and eating disorder so not being able to wear teeth makes it so she can't eat at all. So she's in pain and can't eat all because her dentures don't fit right. So yeah.

Definitely a good place, they do take care of you. But, if you miss your appointment due to power outages. You have to wait a month to get back in. I have 4 appointment left and now I am on hold. All I want is to finish getting my teeth pulled and get my dentures. Would love to smile again. But no, I have one tooth left on the top and it's so uncomfortable.

Great availability, staff is so friendly and welcoming. Everyone helped put me at ease, I am uncomfortable with dentist in general. After my appointment I left feeling relieved and not as apprehensive about my next appointment. Waiting room was immaculate, my appointment was at 745 and I arrived at 740, I was cas called back at 744. So rare that medical and dental places run on time, very happy with the promptness.

Great availability, staff is so friendly and welcoming. Everyone helped put me at ease, I am uncomfortable with dentist in general. After my appointment I left feeling relieved and not as apprehensive about my next appointment. Waiting room was immaculate, my appointment was at 745 and I arrived at 740, I was cas called back at 744. So rare that medical and dental places run on time, very happy with the promptness.

The people here are incredible! Friendly, and calming environment. They do a great job with fillings. By far the best experience I have ever had at a dentist office ever. If you have a lot of anxiety about the dentist office this is definitely the place you want to go.

I had an initial appt for a wisdom tooth that was giving me pain, they gave me antibiotics and over the weekend my pain became severe enough to put me in the er, called them first thing Monday morning and they got me in within a couple hours to get it out, the person I talked to on the phone was also very nice, they do a good job here.

I've been coming here a long time, the entire staff is top-notch they make you feel very comfortable and they do very professional work I would recommend this place to anyone. I had a tooth break they got me in there literally the next morning got me antibiotics to get me out of the tremendous pain that I was in and I just got it out today! Thank you all so much!
