Dr. Cauleen Steppborn and raised in Visalia, CAgraduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu with a B.S. in biology. When she realized that dentistry would allow her to participate in mission work and have an active family life, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Shortly after, Dr. Stepp began practicing at a multi-office private practice that cared for low-income patients. After her time there, she became an associate dentist in a larger practice in southern California. Upon moving to Houston over ten years ago, she worked in public health clinics for over eight years, while still working part-time as an associate in private practice and starting her family.
Between family responsibilities and working full-time, Dr. Stepp never thought she would be able to open her own practice, but, in 2017, she decided to finally spread her wings. She purchased what would soon become Stepp Family Dentistry. Dr. Stepps passions lie in creating a relaxing and stress-free environment as she works hard to achieve the best version of her patients smiles.
While not in the office, Dr. Stepp enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew; her young children; and her Goldendoodle (and soon-to-be Dental Therapy Dog), Lucky Altuve. She enjoys being a follower of Christ, spending time with her beautiful family, traveling, swimming, golf, yoga, pretending to be a foodie with her husband, and evenstrangelydriving her kids around to their extracurricular activities. She loves getting to know her patients as if they are family and cant wait to meet you! Take that first Stepp on the way to achieving the healthy, beautiful smile of your dreams!

Dr. Stepp has found a worth successor for her dental practice. Dr. Spencer Wood is terrific and very professional and knowledgeable as is his entire staff. Highly recommended.

This was my first time to a dentist in a long time, I was referred to Dr. Wood and I highly recommend. Valerie the hygienist was excellent, explained everything and Dr. Wood was very thorough. I genuinely felt taken care of and confident they wanted what's best for my health. Will be back

I've been seeing Dr. Wood since at least 2015. I started going to Dr. Wood when another dentist recommended an exorbitant treatment that was going to cost $20,000. I sought a second opinion from Dr. Wood, and he was able to fix my tooth for a fraction of that. Dr. Wood doesn't recommend unnecessary treatments and gives his patients options. He's extremely empathetic, caring, and honest. He's also gentle and is careful not to cause more pain. The staff is awesome! They did a great job cleaning my teeth, and they're compassionate.

Fantastic experience like always! It is so hard to find a great dental practice and Dr. Stepp and staff have nailed it! Dr Stepp has excellent bedside manner, spends time with her patients. All of the hygienists are personable, keen to your needs. Front desk staff helpful and friendly. Office easy to access. And they have a therapy dog, Lucky! Recommend to anyone looking for a top notch dental practice!

Our family has enjoyed exception care by the entire staff at Stepp Family Dentistry. Dr. Stepp herself is knowledgeable, attentitive and does a great job of explaining what she sees during an examination and whether future care might be required. We could not be happier with our experiences there.

Dr Stepp and her staff are awesome. She did a painless(!) procedure - putting in a temporary crown today and called me tonight to check on me. She is very kind and considerate. While I had my procedure done, they had me in headphones, listening to my favorite music, and I almost went to sleep. Her office has made going to the dentist as pleasurable an experience as is humanly possible. I would highly recommend her

I love having Dr. Stepp as my dentist! Her entire office staff is warm and inviting! You also get a special treat when the service dog Lucky is there too! They are great at listening to my concerns and talk to me in a way I understand and so I always know what all my treatment options are. I highly recommend!

I've spent many years trying to find a good dentist in Houston, and I've finally found that with Dr. Stepp. The office and its staff are welcoming, and Dr. Stepp is great a communicator. Her service is personalized (I even got a call in the late evening after my first procedure to check in on how I was doing) and she clearly cares about her patients. Amazing place and amazing staff! Dr. Cauleen Stepp is phenomenal, Valerie (who cleaned my teeth) was so sweet and professional, Lauren (front desk) is great to work with and informative! I'm so happy that I found my new Dental home. You can tell they care so much about your dental health and really work with you on any goals you may have. In addition, they communicate what is going on/what they're doing very well during your visit. Would give 10 stars if I could!
