I have been practicing dentistry for 33 years, and feel truly blessed to have found the profession I was meant to serve in early in life. I knew after my personal smile transformation that I wanted to do that for others as a dental professional.

Taking care of the needs of my patients is a privilege I dont take for granted. Meeting so many wonderful people and being a small part of their lives is the best part by far. Helping people smile with confidence, educating them to be able to enjoy their teeth for a lifetime, and protecting their overall health by achieving optimum oral health is my goal!

I love providing comprehensive care for my patients. Guiding them through the progression toward complete oral health is exciting. Participating in a partnership with them to achieve the smile they want and deserve makes my job fun and rewarding. I love using my mind, my hands, and my heart every day on each patient.

Being in a profession that is always changing and progressing keeps the work fascinating as new technology is introduced and adopted. I actively take continuing education courses in orthodontic treatment with Invisalign and Fastbraces, smile makeovers, and implant dentistry. I am also a certified sedation dentist, which allows me to care for patients who may have anxiety or even a phobia associated with dental care.

I was married 39 years to my late husband, Gregory. We have two biological children, Clarissa and Brandon, both independent adults enjoying their chosen professions and raising children of their own. We have a third child, Joy, our niece, a professional chef. I am blessed to enjoy two grandsons, Dylan and Adisa, who keep me on my toes.

When Im off from work, I enjoy reading and traveling. Some of my most fun-filled moments occur just sitting in the family room with my very opinionated and animated family, talking, watching movies, or playing games.

Dr. Ahna Kelley is overjoyed to be re-joining the team at Transcendental Smiles of Georgia. She prides herself on having a caring heart and gentle hands, which makes her a perfect fit for the care team. She says her lifes purpose is to heal those who need healing by developing and sharing the gifts and talents shes been given. Dentistry has allowed Dr. Kelley to use her hands to remove sickness and disease from the oral cavity of her patients, thereby healing her patients, bringing them closer to complete oral health.

Dr. Kelley received her bachelors of science in Biology from the University of Georgia in 2012. After graduating from UGA, she joined Transcendental Smiles of Georgia as an assistant where Dr. Stephens, Dr. Burrell and Ms. Sadie Taylor mentored and groomed her to become an excellent chair-side assistant. From there, she spent a year working as a highly-requested temporary assistant, temping for dozens of dentists around the metro Atlanta area. She says working with so many different dentists taught her that each one has his or her own philosophy and standards for practice. It was at this time she began to develop her own practice philosophy and standards. After four years of assisting, Dr. Kelley took her talents to Washington, D.C. where she earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry.

We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.

Ive been married for 31 years to my husband, a UPS tractor-trailer driver. We have two children and one son-in-law; our oldest daughter is a high school science teacher, our youngest is in dental school, and my son-in-law is a professional football player/engineer. I like building things, reading, watching a good movie, and working with my hands.

I enjoy helping others and making a difference, which is exactly what I do here at TDSGA. Since earning my A.S. degree in dental hygiene in 2002, I have worked to promote optimal oral health by providing prophylaxis, patient screening assessments, taking X-rays, applying preventive materials, and educatingpatients. I love encouragingpatients to take control of their oral health, and feel so rewarded when I see my patients health improve.

I graduated from Wayne County Community College with my dental assistant certificate in 1996 and then continued on to attend Jamestown University where I became certified for radiology. I love putting a smile on patient's faces by providing hope for a healthier mouth and brighter smile! Both doctors are great teachers and every day is an adventure.

Cleanings and other procedures took much longer than needed (I once sat through a 90 minute cleaning). Even though I had widely accepted insurance, cleanings were not completely covered because they would include uncessary procedures during the cleanings. The also did x-rays every 6 months (even though my insurance covered yearly), and I did voice my objections to this, and I was told not to worry because these were low level radiation. The office did have a friendly staff (there was one very upbeat hygienist), and they did have tv on the ceiling so you can at least watch your favorite shows during your long visits there.

I've paid over $300+ just to get a cleaning with insurance. Rip off
