Dr. Steve was born in Seattle, WA, and moved to Oakland with his family when he was 13. He graduated with a BS in Biochemistry from Cal State University, Hayward, before graduating near the top of his class at Washington Universitys School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, MO in 1984 with a DMD, Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Steve joined Dr. Don Gillespie at Carnelian Bay on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe before moving to Reno, where he later began practicing part time when the commute to Lake Tahoe became too much. Not long after, in December of 2007, he opened a brand-new, state-of-the-art, locally owned, full-time office in northwest Reno.
Dr. Steve is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association, and the Northern Nevada Dental Association. He stays up-to-date on the newest advances in dentistry by completing an extra number of continuing education courses. He also lectures and teaches about the latest CEREC technology. He is passionate about solving problems that his patients are dealing with and showing them how to get and keep a beautiful smile while avoiding potential dental problems.
