Dr. John graduated from The University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco in 1984 and went on to complete his periodontal residency at The University of California, San Francisco in 1986. He then practiced alongside his father, Dr. Robert John for 15 years. Dr. John continues his passion for improving the knowledge and periodontal health of his patients.
Dr. John is very active in the dental community. He enjoyed teaching for 5 years at The University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of dentistry. He served as a Regional Faculty member for the American Heart Association and has been a CPR instructor for over 25 years. Dr. John lectures to dental groups throughout the states. He has given lectures for Invisalign orthodontic appliance and Biolase lasers.
Dr. John incorporated laser therapy in his practice a number of years ago. He has found that the use of lasers in his periodontal treatment has improved healing and patient comfort. Patients are pleased with the improved ease of healing and decrease in post op discomfort compared to traditional periodontal techniques. Dr. John is one of the instructors for the Biolase Advanced Training course. He helps train dentists who currently use Waterlase lasers to advance their clinical skills on more complex and difficult procedures.

Dr Stephen is totally the best. I've had so many complications when it's come to my smile, and I've seen so many doctors. Seriously, so many. He's seriously the best of the best, super chill, totally thorough in everything he explains, and is super cooperative! His team is also the best and so welcoming and great to talk to! All around just a great office!!

Dr John is the most awesome dentist EVER! His focus on my comfort is outstanding! Pink Floyd was very helpful and relaxing for my procedure! I have to agree with other review, seeing Dr john...is almost enjoyment!!! And his staff are super friendly, I get super anxious going to the dentist but this place, makes it very comfortable! many more than 5 stars deserved!!

Dr. John is super nice and sweet the staff is super nice and caring. When going in for a procedure Dr. John outlines the whole procedure so you would know what you are getting yourself into and he asks for you to ask questions if you are confused about anything. When I went for my gum graft, Dr. John decided to change the way he was going to do the gum graft but he told me everything that was going to happen and he also let me pick what kind of music I got to listen to. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Dr. John is professional, efficient and reasonable given the complexities of his specialty. He has educated me as to my problem, how to actively take care to prevent further damage, and I believe he is an expert hands down. Thank you Dr. John for helping me keep my teeth, as without your care, I would be without several today.

I do not have enough kind words to express how magnificent Dr John is -- I have had a good deal of experience with him over the past several years. He is so thorough and explains every step along the way. His staff is delightful to work with -- I would give 10 stars to this team.

Didn't fix my problem and charged (a lot) for a basic cleaning that any normal dentist would have covered under my policy.
