Dr. Huppert graduated from U.C. San Francisco with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Services as well as a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He has been practicing dentistry in the Sacramento area for over 30 years. Dr. Huppert is also a Spear Faculty Club Member.
Stephen, or Steve as he likes to be called, stays active and healthy by exercising and playing sports. His favorite hobbies are golf and skiing. He coached high school golf for 15 years and he coached girls soccer for 14 years. Steve also enjoys martial arts; not only does he have multiple black belts, he has also been an instructor. When its time for some R&R, Steve and his family enjoy vacationing in Hawaii!
Leslie Sanford began her career by attending High Teck Institute in 1994 and was hired by Dr. Huppert in 2006 as the assistant office manager, later becoming the lead assistant and back office manager. After mastering the office, Leslie pursued her RDA license in 2011 and continues her professional development through pear Education. Her impeccable skills as Dr. Hupperts assistant led her to consulting for the Dental Board Of California as a subject matter specialist. In this capacity, she helps write curriculum and assessment materials for potential RDA candidates.
Being a mother always comes first, but her career and her patients are very important to Leslie; working in the dental field has afforded her the opportunity to balance both of these important aspects of life. Leslie loves the outdoors and water sports. She spends most weekends at her cabin in the El Dorado National Forest, on the lakes, or simply floating in her pool. She has a huge heart for animals of all kinds and enjoys them being part of her family. After hours , Leslie spends her time in the gym or working on home & garden improvements.
Our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards. We are certain that you will feel right at home in our office as we welcome all patients and treat them life family.

A great office that is friendly, clean with up to date equipment and super competent employees! They also make a point of making sure they address any issues as well as completing any work without pain! Love them!!!!

I've been going to Steve for years and have always loved his office staff - hygenists and his office manager. With recent retirements, I miss my friends, but I am happy to report that their replacements are wonderful too!

really pleasant. they listen to you and the service was gentle and professional and helpful. i was referred by a coworker recommendation and i was not disappointed! Its really nice to be treated kindly and like a person and Dr Huppert was able to make me an appliance to improve my sleep which has been a game changer.

As much as I hate going to the dentist Dr. Huppert and his entire crew make the visit pleasant and as painless as possible. Their attention to detail and caring attitude keeps me coming back. Would recommend without hesitation.

It's not often that who get to experience someone who is so highly skilled, caring, compassionate, and considerate---especially if you consider yourself a big baby when it comes to going to the dentist! My last two dentists retired in close succession. Now I start anew, and what a fine dental office this is - friendly and professional staff, clean, modern facilities, and superior Covid safety protocols. Dr. Huppert is highly knowledgeable, experienced, and very caring. His findings and recommendations corresponded perfectly with those of my last dentist, who I very much trusted and respected. It looks like I made an excellent choice for my new dentist.

Dr. Huppert and his staff not only fixed my mouth but also my lifelong fear of dentists. Having avoided going to the dentist for years I was expecting to hear that my best bet would be dentures but Dr. Huppert really knows teeth and was able to do what I thought was not possible. It feels terrific to be able to smile again! I even do it for no reason sometimes, just because I can. I can't recommend Dr. Huppert and his staff enough.
