Vanyo Dentistry, the dental practice of Dr. Stephen J. Vanyo, has a long history in the Durham community. Our office has been around for over 35 years, and Dr. Vanyo, our offices third owner, has practiced dental care in the Triangle since 1988. He has solely been in Durham since 2000.

Dr. Vanyo graduated from the Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1988. He was brought up in the dental profession with his dad and grandfather both being dentists. It was impressed upon him at a very early age that taking care of patients was extremely imperative.
Dr. Vanyo has been in practice in the Triangle since 1988, and has practiced in Durham since 2000. He is married and has 2 children, Caroline and Stephen. Dr. Vanyo enjoys fishing, camping, and biking but most of all spending time with his family.
Kelly resides in Timberlake with her husband, John and their 2 boys, Kyle and Ryan. She enjoys spending time with her family and her 3 dogs! If she's not rescuing a new dog then she's probably on the soccer field or in the mountains visiting her son at college.
Lauren joined our office in 2009 and has experience in dental assisting and front office administration. Lauren handles all the insurance for the office and truly goes above and beyond with patients and explaining their benefits / policies to them.
Sherri joined our office in May 2015. She has been providing dental hygiene care for the community for over 30 years and she is a wonderful asset to our office. Sherri enjoys helping and teaching patients about their dental health and how important it is to their overall health.
Julie joined our office in March of this year. She is one of the 1st smiles you will see when you walk in our door! She brings a lot of joy to the office and is always willing to help out where she can. Julie graduated from Orange High School in 1989 and went onto Alamance Community College to pursue Dental Assisting.
Julie is a native of the area and NC has always been her 'home.' She is married to her husband, Payton and they have 3 grown children, Blake, Grant and Sydney. She also has 2 dogs she enjoys taking care of.
Courtnie is our newest and latest dental assistant that we have added to our group. She has the BIGGEST passion for learning dentistry and caring for patients! She has completed her 1st step in an accredited Dental Assisting Program and is looking to grow with our office and continue to absorb as much knowledge about dentistry as she can.
