Dr Chronister grew up in the Kansas City area. He attended college at Westminster College, a prestigious private liberal arts school in central missouri, from 1976 to 1980. He graduated Magna cum Laude, was active in campus leadership and was a member of several honor societies. He then attended the UMKC dental school in Kansas City from 1980 to 1984, where he graduated with honors. He worked for a year in Kansas City getting his feet wet in private practice before starting his own practice in Topeka in July of 1985. That same year, he became a member of the American Prosthodontic Society. He attends their two-day continuing education seminar in Chicago every year. Dr Chronister additionally completes over 30 hours of continuing education every year, emphasizing his areas of special interest.
Jackie is our hygienist 'specializing' in cleaning, prevention, and periodontal treatment. Jackie has been with us since 1995. She is a past president of the Kansas Dental Hygiene Association, has served on the Kansas Dental Board and works part time as an examiner for the dental hygiene board exams. Way to go Jackie!
Brookeis our latest team member. She has already become indispensable. She is our full time clinical assistant. She supports all the clinical activities and does all the important behind-the-scenes activities that keep the clinical care flowing.

Throughout my life I have recommended Dr. Chronister to everyone. When he first started practicing, he checked my teeth and found a small cavity. I braced myself for excruciating pain during the next visit, as that had always occurred when I had my teeth filled as a child. Not only did the cavity-filling procedure not hurt, at all, but the shot to numb my teeth did not hurt either. I consider this nothing short of a miracle. Plus, he is a very kind, considerate, caring professional and a wonderful person.

Dr. Chronister healed my smile from such intense pain that was affecting my everyday life. Within 24hrs of my call I was scheduled in between his appointments for an emergency tooth extraction. I couldn't be more thankful and appreciative of his caring soul!!!

The staff is super friendly and Dr Chronister is the best!! He makes you feel so comfortable as going to the dentist at times can cause anxiety for some, he takes the extra time to ease that for them. Best move I ever made coming to his practice!!

I can't recommend Dr. Chronister & his entire staff enough. They are very friendly, helpful, organized, and completely professional at what they do. You'll receive appointment reminders, more in-depth knowledge about your dental health, and they will get you in ASAP if there is pain or emergencies. Trust me, I know! You will also get updates about what they're doing during your procedures so you're not left sitting in the chair, staring up at the ceiling and wondering what's going on inside your mouth. Lol! They have a wonderful chair-side manner and ease any anxiety you might have. If you want the best dental staff and care around, head to Dr. Chronister's way!

I appreciated my patients that give us feedback to help us better serve out patients. I will always use positive, constructive feedback to improve our care. I truly care about our patients and want to practice with complete integrity. Specific feedback will always be used to fine tune the healing process in our office. Thank you all! Every patient I see, I do so with kindness, honesty and a sincere desire to be of service to them. I find it challenging when a person chooses to make a negative comment about our office on line with no substantiation. I can not shed light on any patient review without violating their right to privacy of their physical or mental health. I have carefully looked back over the care I have given to those that posted negative reviews and found it to be honest, good quality treatment.
