Dr. Mullins is one of only a few specialists in the country dual-trained in both endodontics and periodontics. Her unique qualifications enable her to provide the highest standard of care and give her patients the most thorough treatment available.
Dr. Stephanie Mullins grew up in the area and graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1994. She received her predoctoral training in cell and molecular biology at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. She graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry in 2002 and worked in private practice as a general dentist for a few years before returning to UMKC as an academic fellow. It was there she decided to pursue her specialty certificate in periodontics and a masters in oral biology again at UMKC. During her periodontics residency, Dr. Mullins had extensive training in the area of implants, bone regeneration, and grafting techniques.
Dr. Mullins was a clinical assistant professor in the department of periodontics where she received teaching awards both locally as well as nationally. In 2006 she received the American Academy of Periodontics Educator Award; only two of these awards are given nationally every year. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and the first dual-trained endodontist and periodontist in the state of Missouri. In fact, there are only a handful across the country.
She is a professional member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, American Academy of Periodontology, College of Diplomates, American Board of Periodontists, Missouri Dental Association and the Greater Kansas City Dental Society.

Staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Mullins explains why treatment is needed and answers questions in a way that's easy to understand. She makes sure that risks of any treatment is explained. She's done 3 of my root canals, and I couldn't be happier to recommend her

My experience with getting a root canal was amazing. I had no idea you could get a root canal that was painless. Dr. Mullins was an excellent choice to have do this dental procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. MULLINS if you, like me, have any kind of dental anxiety.

Dr. Mullins and her staff have impressed me. They have proven themselves to be caring, warm, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Mullins is extremely thorough and has very high standards. She strikes me as a perfectionist who wants my teeth to look great. The dental equipment is definitely the latest technology. She took time at the appointment to review and explain anything she noticed during the exam and on the X-rays. There was someone (with me the entire time) who was very helpful and answered all of my questions before the root canal procedure began. She thoroughly explained the procedure that I was about to have and also how to reduce any pain or swelling. The office is sanitary, clean, homey and bright. The staff took me in immediately. The service in this office has been exceptional. The staff researched costs ahead of time so there was no surprises. Staff ensured that I was clear about any charges, not covered by insurance. I really appreciated that.
