Dr. Scott Stein established his practice in 1990 after honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. He wanted to introduce a friendly, yet professional, dental practice in the city of El Paso. Stepping into the office is like visiting a sports and entertainment museum. The modern decor is very entertaining, and the fun-loving staff will make you feel right at home.
In 2019, Dr. Scott Stein's daughter Dr. Daryl Stein Aguilarjoined the practice. Scott's mother, Sharon, also works as a receptionisttruly making it a family practice. Dr. Scott Stein is also a member ofthe Academy for Sports Dentistry and hasas been elected as a provider for the United States Olympic Committees Medical Network team of providers, providing service to the UTEP Athletic Program, El Paso Rhinos Hockey, professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball, professional boxing, and various high school sports teams. He is also the team dentist for the El Paso Chihuahua's Baseball Team and the El Paso Locomotive soccer club.
Dr. Stein received a Bachelor's of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1983. He then received his dental degree from Baylor College of Density in 1987. After graduation, Dr. Stein entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon honorable discharge he returned to the states where he decided El Paso would be best suited to start his practice being that he was raised in El Paso.
In Dr. Stein's spare time, he enjoys working out and studying nutrition and health. His commitment to a healthy lifestyle transcends into his professional and personal life. Dr. Stein is a national level bodybuilding competitor and also judges at the regional level. In addition to dentistry, he loves discussing nutrition and fitness with his patients.
Dr. Stein Aguilar was born and raised in El Paso, TX. She married her high school sweetheart, Ray Aguilar. Ray is thehead football coach at El Paso High School. They have asonnamed Austinwho was born in December of 2019.
Lydia Loya has been with Dr. Stein since 2007. She has been in the Dental field for 25+ years and started as a Dental Assistant and then worked her way up to front office duties. Now Lydia is responsible for account receivables and insurance processing for the entire office. Lydia was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She enjoys traveling with her husband, George, and son, Ivan.
Sam is an El Paso Native and received her degree for Dental Hygiene from El Paso Community College. She is continuing her education as a hygienist at Texas Women's University working towards her bachelor's degree. Sam loves working hand in hand with her patients to help them achieve optimum oral health. Some of her interests include hanging with her family, reading a good book, and watching Football. Go Broncos!
Christine was born in Albuquerque, NM, and moved to El Paso at age 6 on a military transfer. She graduated from Coronado High school and then received her Dental Hygiene degree from EPCC. She has been working as a dental hygienist with Dr. Stein since 1992. Christine says her relationship with her patients is what keeps her motivated to provide them with the best care. In addition to work, she takes great pride in her family. She is an enthusiastic mother, likes working out and loves watching football...go Bears! She currently resides in El Paso with her husband of 20+ years, Jorge, her daughter, Gage, and her dogs Chloe and Blue.
Christine is an El Paso area native who received her degree for dental hygiene from El Paso Community College. She has been practicing as a hygienist for 10+ yearsin both general and pediatric care. Some of her interests include, hanging out with her family (like taking in an El Paso Chihuahuas game), working out and staying active. She likes to believe that smiles are contagious, so why not share and spread a bright confident smile.
Teresa (Terri) Prieto has worked with Dr. Stein since 2009. She was born in Fredericksburg, TX, but has resided in El Paso for more than 15 years. Terri is a graduate of the William B. Travis high school in Austin, TX. She started working in the dental field at the age of 19 in Kailua, HI. Terri has experience in pediatric, orthodontic, and general dentistry offices. In her spare time, she enjoys working out and spending time with her two children.
Audrey Herrera is a Registered Dental Assistant here at Dr. Stein's office. She was born in Kentucky but was raised in El Paso and is a graduate of Coronado High School. She currently has over 20years of experience as a dental assistant. Audrey has her CPR certification and is also certified in CEREC crowns. She really enjoys working in the dental field and with others. When she is not working, you can find her outside playing with her two boys or hanging out with her husband, Fabian, of 10+years.
