Dr. Fishell is passionate about incorporating the latest technology to create beautiful, healthy smiles for all of his patients. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, and has over 20 years experience treating thousands of patients.

Dr. Wintner has always been fascinated by the magic of orthodontic treatment. While completing his undergraduate studies, he did a physics project involving orthodontics. Dr. Wintner enjoys all facets of orthodontic treatment, including adults, which sometimes present unique challenges!

Dr. John Fishell is a native Pittsburgher through and through. He was born in Pittsburgh and attended the University of Pittsburgh his entire way through college, dental school, and orthodontic residency.

Dr. Marcey Maderas passion for orthodontics began early in life, at her own orthodontic visits, where she was intrigued by the before and after treatment pictures on display. She began pursuing her passion at the University of Pittsburgh graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Madera went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine graduating as salutatorian of her class. Her orthodontic specialty training and Master of Science were also completed at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Madera is passionate about providing high-quality orthodontic care that directly addresses the concerns and needs of her patients in a professional yet comforting environment. She believes in the positive impact that orthodontics has on her patients personalities and confidence.

Dr. Madera is continuously advancing her education within the field of orthodontics. She still finds it challenging to correct alignment, malocclusion and skeletal disharmony, which are unique to each patient. Dr. Madera is passionate about staying current in her field enabling her to provide each patient with the most effective orthodontic treatment available.

As an orthodontist, I have the opportunity to interact with people of all ages, backgrounds, and professions. I enjoy connecting with my patients and their families throughout the course of their treatment. It is exhilarating to be a witness to the change that each patient goes through, both physically and psychologically. There is nothing more fulfilling than when I see that my work has positively affected my patients overall well-being.

A native of Athens, Greece, Dr. Maria Tassopoulou received a Doctorate of DentalSurgery (DDS) from Athens University Dental School. After moving to the United States, Dr. Tassopoulou earned a Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry as well as a certification in orthodontics and US Dental Certification and Licensure.

She is passionate about providing excellent, evidence-based care to all of her patients with an emphasis in addressing their unique concerns and goals. She enjoys getting to know her patients and seeing a positive transformation throughout their treatment. The most rewarding aspect of her profession is witnessing the change in a patients self-esteem and confidence as a result of their new, beautiful smile.

After teaching orthodontics full-time for over 5 years at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Tassopoulou still volunteers her time giving lectures there. She sincerely enjoys the interaction with future dentists and orthodontists while being able to stay current on all of the changing trends within the orthodontic profession.

I am very fortunate to work in this extraordinary and dynamic profession. I enjoy the challenges that are unique to each patient. I am intrigued by meeting a vast variety of people of all ages and backgrounds and I learn every day by the interaction with them. I welcome, encourage, and enjoy the collaboration between my patients general dentist and other dental specialty professionals because I feel that a successful approach in treating patients happens on a multi-disciplinary level.
