Dr. Steve Stec has practiced in Grand Island for decades, and many of our patients are our friends and neighbors. We appreciate your trust in us!

Because patient comfort is so important to us, Dr. Steven Stec, Dr. CJ Stec, and Dr. Jacob Stines have invested in new technologies designed to make you as comfortable as possible. For instance, a new technology called The Wand can deliver local anesthetic into your mouth with far less discomfort than a traditional needle. We also use another injection comfort system called DentalVibe. We are thrilled to offer the CAESY education system to teach you good home care as well as explain in-office dental procedures.

At our Grand Island cosmetic and family dental practice, we enjoy getting to know our patients. Safety is a primary concern for you and for us, so we use an automatic dishwasher to thoroughly scrub all instruments before they are wrapped and sterilized. Plus, our sterilization system is tested routinely to ensure all instruments are properly cleaned. Because we acquired new equipment recently, all water lines are disinfected regularly.

To help ensure your comfort, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) upon request, and we have headphones, warm neck wraps, pillows, and blankets to help you feel at ease during your general, restorative, and cosmetic treatments. We want your experience at our office to be relaxed, comfortableeven enjoyableand well do our best to ensure it is.

As one of our dedicated dentists, Dr. CJ loves being able to work with such a great group of people every day, including his father Dr. Steven Stec. He always goes the extra mile to build lasting relationships with his patients as well, helping them accomplish the lifelong goals they have in mind for their smiles. Dr. CJ grew up in a dental office in fact, most of his breaks from school involves a LOT of cleaning rooms and windows. His dad has always been a great role model, but he didnt actually become genuinely interested in the dental world until his undergraduate years. During that time, Dr. CJ got involved with an organization called Mission of Mercy, and he spent some time volunteering in Nebraska and Kansas, helping provide free dental care to those who needed it most. It was an amazing experience, and he knew after returning that hed found his true calling.

After completing his initial degree at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, Dr. CJ achieved his dental doctorate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In the years since, he has completed a great deal of continuing education to further expand his clinical skillset; some of his specific focuses include implant dentistry, Invisalign, and cosmetic dentistry. He is also a proud member of the American Dental Association and Nebraska Dental Association.

Dr. CJ and his wife Bana have two kids named Marcus and Sophia, with another baby on the way in 2021! When he isnt busy at work, his favorite hobbies include spending quality time with loved ones, hunting, golfing, and traveling.

With a strong interest in the military and airplanes as a child and teenager, Dr. Stines never even dreamed of becoming a dentist. He enjoyed creating things with his hands and thought he might follow in the footsteps of his uncle and become a surgeon. During high school and college, he explored many options. The life of a surgeon was not for him. He really did not connect with anything until a family friend invited him to spend a week in his dental practice.

I would not trade it for the world, is how Dr. Stines describes his dental education. After graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Biology from Northwestern University, in St. Paul, MN, Dr. Stines started at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 2010. Upon graduation from dental school in 2014, he had the opportunity to follow a long, family tradition of military service and joined the United States Air Force. He started by completing a one-year residency program at Offutt Air Force Base then shifted to his role as Chief of Clinical Dentistry at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, KS.

In addition to being able to treat the men and women who sacrifice so much for our country, Dr. Stines had the opportunity to rapidly advance his knowledge and experience. He was able to learn advanced procedures such as IV Sedation, endodontics (root canals) and wisdom tooth extractions procedures rarely mastered right out of dental school. Also, he was able to further his education in digital impressions by being an integral member of the Air Force's adoption of CEREC and CAD/CAM technology.

Both Dr. Stines and his wife Toni (Anania) graduated high school in Grand Island, and they look forward to having their boys, Holden and Carter, do the same. It will be great to have grandparents and extended family in the area, and the entire family enjoys the outdoors being on the water in the summer and hunting in the winter. Of course, they will continue to cheer for the Big Red. Go Huskers!
