Julie has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 23 years. Julie loves the dental field, educating, and building relationships with her patients. She is married to Brian Newland and they are the parents of two boys Mason, age 17 and Zane, age 14.
As a family they love food, sports, and traveling. They all enjoy cooking and have lots of experiment meals. Julie has a large extended family from the North Platte area that inspired her to move back to Nebraska 22 years ago from Colorado to raise her family. Julie says, 'I just love the friendly people of Nebraska, they can 't be beat'.
This may be new face for you. Meet Melissa Putnam, one of our chairside assistants. You may also see her helping in the front office or answering the phone. She loves being in Dental field and has been a dental assistant for 14 years. The feeling she gets from helping others be able to give their best smile and feel better about themselves are her favorite parts of the job. Melissa has been in North Platte since 2002 when she attended the Dental Assisting program at Mid Plains Community College.
Missy Keller might just be a familiar face. She has been with our office for 30+ years and has worn many 'hats' along the way. She is likely to be the voice you hear on the phone and see at the front desk or out in the yard planting flowers. She handles our patient coordination, billing, and filing of insurance.
Missy has been married to Bob Keller for almost 31 years. They have 3 grown kids that they both are very proud of, Bryson, Ben (Sydney) & Bailee (Tanner) Donohoe and their hearts are full with the addition of their first Grandbaby, Embrey.
Shana Blackwell has been with our office for 9 years but brings 24+ years of experience with her. She is a certified expanded duties assistant. She is from eastern Colorado but now resides in Paxton, Ne. Shana and her husband, Brian, have 3 grown sons, Zach, Cody and Lane. She loved following her boys in all their sporting and school activities.
We are pleased to welcome Alyssa Bergeron to our office. Alyssa is a recent graduate of the Mid-Plains Dental Assisting Program here in North Platte. She was one of the students that did a clinical rotation in our office this year; recognizing what a gem she is, we asked her to become part of our team! She is a very compassionate person and is great with patients, especially children. She has a knack for making people feel relaxed and comfortable at their dental visit. Alyssa likes spending time outdoors particularly hiking and horseback riding and is very excited to begin her career in the dental field.
Dr. Trent States joined the practice in North Platte in 1994. With the support of both his uncle Jerry, and father Jim, a strong foundation in practical, gentle, family oriented dentistry was solidified. We have a strong mid western conservative approach and a belief in no nonsense, preventative dentistry. This ensures a honest opinion and a comprehensive, yet compassionate dental experience.

Just love coming here!! Every single person is so kind and amazing!! Dr. Trent explains EVERYTHING and let's you know what he's doing and asks if your doing okay throughout all procedures. This is NOT a dentist I dread coming to.

Excellent staff Dr states even called me later in the day to see how I was feeling I had my first tooth pulled they are all very kind caring people. They explain every procedure very well. My favorite dentist clinic

I am pleased with how I was taken care at States Dental. They explained what would happen and kept me informed throughout my time in the chair. They checked with me all through the procedures to see if I was feeling any pain and if I was doing alright. At the very end as they were cleaning up the adhesive between my new crowns and other teeth they kept at it until they removed it! I am impressed in how everyone in the office worked as a team to get my crowns made and seated correctly Thank you States Dental!

My appointment started on time, my Dental Hygienist worked cleaning my teeth and answered any questions I asked and Dr States took a look and sent me on my way. It was a very comfortable visit.

Dr. Trent has been a family dentist for 20+ years, Is there for his patients day/night or weekend if needed. He and his staff are highly recommended. Also has Beautiful flower arrangements to enjoy.

I've been going to States Dental office for 23 years. I have never had a bad or negative experience from Dr. Trent States or his staff. I've always been treated with respect and his staff always do their best to ensure I am comfortable. His office staff including his office manager Missy are very helpful in accommodating my work schedule and answering all of my billing questions. I greatly appreciate Dr. States doing everything he can to keep my costs down. He could have performed a root canal with a crown but wanted to see if I could get by with just the crown and I've been pain-free in my tooth for eight months. He and all of his staff are wonderful and I would highly recommend his clinic!!
