Had a referral sent in for a tooth extraction I'm in a lot of pain they say walk-ins are welcomed but I couldn't be seen because the next available appointment is one year from now, ridiculous

It was great. The Dr who did extractions was great. And Lorraine was just wonderful. I went early and was in and out within a hr. Very good experience for me. Especially since I only work well with good people with good bedside manners.

Staten Island University Hospital Dental Clinic has gone through many changes recently. Much of it due to the after effects of Covid, and also I'm sure budget cuts and an expanding Island Population. It is my hope that more resources, support and advocacy gets put into this much needed Borough Dental Clinic. Being as Medicare doesn't cover dental, and seniors on Social Security, and people on Social Security Disability, we need a fully functioning dental clinic now more than ever. I hope the local politicians and planners put more attention into this clinic.

I been to this location several times, and the main receptionist on section 1 always speaks spanish to everyone else. My mother has experienced numerous of times when she speaks to her in spanish and she repeats "excuse me" and makes a face as if she doesn't understand. Then continues to talk to her in English. As a bilingual speaking person i always help out others especially when im at work! I never felt so disrespected and uncomfortable. Hopefully this gets brought up to her attention as it has not been the first time.

this is the worst dental office that is in the hospital... those who work there are very horrible and more so those who make the appointments because you tell them that you cannot go early, and they say there is no later... I need to fix my teeth but they do not have consideration with one who has two children and they tell you that they will no longer attend to you because you missed 7 appointments ......

Coming to a dentists office can be intimidating & nerve wrecking but i'm glad i came here. The staff in the front work quick to get you in to see the doctor. My doctor worked efficiently with his assistant who was very sweet. They both made me feel comfortable and were very empathetic to how nervous i was. Very happy with the service i was provided, would definitely come here in the future if needed.

Staten Island university hospital has the best dentists and hygienist I've been here for the 1st time and I love this place because you won't come back and forth you'll be able to finish everything in one visit which a full Dental exam and your cleaning there staff are really friendly ,helpful plus they'll understand your school and work schedule.

Waited over 4 hours to be seen and they sent me away with a prescription for ibuprofen and refused to take out a tooth that had me in agony. Stay far away from this dump if you need serious dental work done.

This place is honestly really bad, wouldn't recommend to even my worst enemy. Firstly a majority of the staff are pretty rude, second I came in for an emergency appointment and waited 3.5 hours to be seen. Once I was seen, my total visit time was 5 mins. I've never been to a dentist where absolutely nothing is done, not even a cleaning. After waiting so long, that's bare minimum. I was also told I'd be sent ibuprofen for the intense pain I was in, it was never sent to my pharmacy. I called them and no one picked up, even left a voicemail. I just never received it. It was an overall horrible experience, I wouldn't go back. I'd rather travel to Queens and see my old dentist than come here again.

Went there yesterday and omg I thank them all I was in excruciating pain they wound up cutting my gum and needing stitches. The nurse was so sweet and the doctor was a young Chinese guy he was so kind and caring. I was so afraid . I just can't take them all enough. There is nothing worse than a toothache wish I would've went there sooner.

This Dental Clinic is one of the best. We need to understand that doctors at this clinic work continuously and make everybody happy is their goal. We probably wait a little longer but waiting for them really worth. Years ago I was in deep pain cause I had an abscess and infection was killing me. This doctor saved me. Another doctor made an extraction and the same night I went out for a dinner with my wife, no pain at all. Believe me, this is one of the best Clinic and if I was you I would stick with it.

Just went today with extreme pain from my wisdom tooth and told me they couldn't extract it because I need to see an oral surgeon. They told me the next appointment available to see an oral surgeon is on till April of next year. Told me they would send antibiotics and Ibuprofen to my pharmacy which they never did and have tired calling them on the phone and won't pick up to help me with my prescription. Dentist were extremely rude and Dismissive basically telling me there was nothing left to do unless I had a referral and until there was a cancellation they couldn't help me. Worst place to go for emergencies because they will do absolutely nothing.

Amalgam fillings: they look ugly, they have caused kidney damage, and 14 years of skin disease. If anyone wants to make a class action suit, please include me!

One they only take certain insurances affiliated with Medicaid. But the real topper is I asked what would the price of an extraction be and I was told just to be seen it's $260!!! That's not including anything. This is supposed to be a clinic.

Horrible!! Daughter had confirmed appointment made months ago for extraction with consultation referral in hand. They LIED saying that the appointment was for another consultation?? NO! They simply turned us away canceling appointment saying next appointment isn't available for another 7 months. Terrible place!
