Dr. Stanley Starr founded Starr & Glick Orthodontics in 1971 and has been in private practice ever since. Dr. Starr grew up in Atlantic City and graduated from Atlantic City High School. He then attended Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, New Jersey, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Sociology. Dr. Starr received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. At Temple, Dr. Starr was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (O.K.U.) Dental Honor Society. Induction into O.K.U. is the highest honor that a dental student can receive. Dr. Starr then completed his specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Starr annually maintains a rigorous continuing education schedule that allows him to remain on the cutting edge of orthodontic and dental technology. Dr. Starr is a certified Invisalign Provider and has treated hundreds of patients with this contemporary technique. Dr. Starr has a great passion for orthodontic education and served for years on the faculty at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine as a clinical professor in the Applied Experience Program.
Dr. Starr possesses a strong background in basic scientific and orthodontic research and has received a Federal Grant for a research project he conducted on 'The Impact of Orthodontic Treatment on the Development of Self Image.' In the past, Dr. Starr presented table clinics at national meetings of the American Association of Orthodontics entitled 'The Classification and Diagnosis of Orthodontic Problems.'
Dr. Starr is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the West Metropolitan District Dental Society, the James Cameron Oral Surgery Society, and the Greater Boston Orthodontic Study Group.
Dr. Starr and his wife, Susan, a dental hygienist, have two children, Jason and Julie. He is also the proud grandfather of four beautiful grandchildren. Dr. Starr is active in the community, is an intense sports fan and enjoys golf and power walking.
Dr. Geoffrey M. Glick has been practicing orthodontics since 2000. He began his partnership with Dr. Starr in 2004 and has been the managing partner of Starr and Glick Orthodontics since 2009. Before limiting his practice to our Franklin and Medfield locations, Dr. Glick spent 14 years practicing in Brookline, Waltham and Pepperell.
Dr. Glick grew up in Brookline and attended The Park School and Belmont Hill School before receiving a B.A. in clinical psychology from Tufts University in 1994. From there, Dr. Glick earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. While at Penn, Dr. Glick distinguished himself as a leader by providing complimentary dental care to underprivileged inner city children and needy senior citizens. At graduation, Dr. Glick was presented with the prestigious Pennsylvania State Dental Society Award, which is awarded annually to one senior student for outstanding work during his 4 years of dental school.
In 1999, Dr. Glick completed a General Practice Residency in Dental Medicine at MCP-Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. Dr. Glick then returned home to Boston for his orthodontic specialty training at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. In 2002, Dr. Glick completed a three-year joint masters and certificate program in orthodontics that incorporated basic scientific research with clinical orthodontic training. Dr. Glick was awarded his Masters of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D.) and his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (C.A.G.S.) in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. His Masters thesis, which was entitled Shear Bond Strength of Orthodontic Bracket and Adhesive Materials to Porcelain Restorative Materials, was awarded highest honors.
Dr. Glick treats patients of all ages and has become one of the world's leading practitioners of Invisalign orthodontics. He has developed a proficiency in correcting complex orthodontic problems with Invisalign clear plastic aligners and this has allowed our practice to treat virtually any patient with this therapy. He has treated over 3,000 patients with Invisalign and his Invisalign patients have included members of the World Champion Boston Celtics, players and cheerleaders from the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, and the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageant winners from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, and New York.
Dr. Glick is a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists, the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Metropolitan District Dental Society. Dr. Glick has recently been recognized as one of Boston Magazines Top Dentists in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Dr. Glick and his wife Nicole, a clinical psychologist, live with their children Jason and Alexa and their cats Ziggy and Gizmo. When he is not focused on orthodontics, Dr. Glick spends his time cheering on his beloved Bruins, Celtics, Patriots and Red Sox, extolling the greatness of Tom Brady, listening to rock music, attending concerts, playing fantasy sports, skiing and traveling.
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Colleen Kristofor to our practice in 2021. As a practicing orthodontist for over 20 years, Dr. Colleen brings a wealth of experience to our patients. Her professional journey has taken her to practices in Chicago, Philadelphia and most recently Massachusetts. Dr. Colleen is passionate about orthodontics and prides herself on providing an exceptional orthodontic experience to her patients.
Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Colleen graduated from St. Josephs University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. At St. Joes, she was the recipient of the prestigious Business Management Award and was elected to the Deans List all 4 years. From there she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class and was again elected to the Deans List all 4 years. Dr. Colleen had a distinguished career at Northwestern as she was the recipient of the Northwestern University Merit Scholarship, the Anna M. Vincent Scholarship and the American Society of Dentistry for Children Award. She continued on at Northwestern for post-doctoral training in Orthodontics and received her Masters of Science in Oral Biology and Orthodontic Certificate. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
Outside of the office, Dr. Colleen enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She especially loves visiting her nephews back home in Philadelphia! Her other favorite hobbies include running, sailing, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
