There is a variety of treatments for gum disease, depending on the stage of disease and overall health. Receded gum or gingival recession of the tooth is known to create tooth sensitivity and makes the tooth appears longer, yellowish, and darker near the gum line. This is not a reversible process and, in its advanced stages, can lead to tooth loss. Care should be taken to prevent further recession. In advanced stages, the major risk is that the natural integrity of the seal around the tooth is lost, and bacterial invasion compromises the health of the tooth. Often, gum reconstruction of the recessed area, called gum or gingival graft, can be implemented to fix a lost seal. As a result of the procedure, the stable band of firm gingiva (gum) develops around the tooth.
Preventive DentistryUntreated dental issues may result in dental infection tooth loss and even affect your overall health. Preventive dentistry helps you to avoid such situations by regularly working with your dentist and fixing minor problems at the very beginning. A Dental Bridge is also known as a fixed partial denture; it is a non-removable replacement of one or more missing teeth. Porcelain Inlays and Onlays are used as teeth fillings and usually last 2-3 times longer than a regular tooth filling. As an alternative to getting a crown, Inlays and Onlays do not require the grinding away of all sides of the tooth.

Dr. Polyakov and her staff are amazing. Izabel is always a delight to be around and does whatever she can with billing to keep patients info low. Dr. Polyakov took me in during COVID with a crisis cracked tooth and my smile honestly looks better than before :)

Here i am penniless after going to Starsmile!!Letting I went to get my teeth cleaned on 10/17 and asked for an estimate on my chipped front tooth. Isebel hands me a bill for $183. For a procedure it didn't ask for or request my insurance wont cover it. Omg i said you no my insurance wont cover. She hand me estimates for other work to be done. Isebel i realized is just a salesman pushing procedures on people including myself who make under $12,000 a year don't go here Isebel should be Fired Shes gettin Dr. K in a lot of trouble

These women are an absolute god send. I am painfully terrified of the dentist due to past childhood trauma. Came in for tooth pain and was scheduled wisdom teeth removal. Dr. Kathryn is truly amazing. About 30 minutes to remove two wisdom teeth and a bottom molar. Barely felt anything during the local anaesthetic shots! She got my first tooth out in about 30 SECONDS. She was extremely supportive throughout the entire procedure. Amazing. The entire staff is amazing. These women are so friendly and CARING. Made me feel at home. Thank you for caring! I'm lucky to have found Dr. Kathryn and her staff.

I have been an extremely satisfied patient of Dr. Kathryn since 2004. Their services over the years have ranged from my early stages of teeth straightening with Invisalign to a root canal, caps, teeth whitening, and deep teeth cleaning. Star Smile's professional staff can do it all. Their sincere and friendly approach to service delivery makes it a pleasure to visit the dentist. I would highly recommend them.

5 stars is not enough for this dentist office. Definitely deserves a 10 the beautiful Dr Kathryn and her beautiful staff are amazing!! So helpful they make you feel so comfortable. I'm not a fan of the dentist I went once said nope need it this way. I made that call again to have the tooth removed not even 30SECONDS Bye bye tooth didn't even know it. I'll be going here every time and Definitely a recommended dentist

I cannot say enough good about Dr, Polyakov and her incredible staff! Recently switched dentists and so happy I did.. from the minute you walk in it's an amazing experience. All the ladies are so sweet, calm and present in every way. Dr Polyakov is gentle, thorough, patient and her work is flawless, literally flawless! I have been coming here for a little over a year, and I'm very happy with the treatment I've received so far. This place was recommended to me because I used to have such bad anxiety about going to the dentist, after a very traumatic wisdom tooth extraction I had years ago at a different place. Dr. Kathryn and her staff are always friendly, professional, and accommodating. I've had crowded teeth in-need of braces for my whole life, and I was so used to being shamed for how my teeth look. Dr. Kathryn treats you with respect while discussing orthodontic options. It's clear that she cares about what she does, and 100% knows what she's doing. Her calm, knowledgeable presence puts you at ease. The entire staff have been so patient and understanding while my partner & I have been trying to financially plan for my Invisalign. I haven't once felt pressured, and they were happy to explain the payment options to us. I've never gone out of my way to write a positive review for a dentist before, this place just really changed my perspective of dental healthcare.

Waoo I am 36 years old and I have visited multiple dental offices ... but none has been like this one that I have visited; since I open the door until I leave the dental clinic it is a kindness, smile, great attention that I feel so happy and very confident with all their staff who are very very trained that they treat their patients as if we were family members of each one of them ... THEY ARE LIKE ANGELS ... and what can I tell you about the dentist KATHRYN POLYAKOV ufff she has such an agile and simple hand that I don't realize when I finish the work she had to do for me, I tell them that just in 5 to 7 seconds I remove the tooth or tailpiece that with other dentists I feel the discomfort and I almost have to find out my fingers on the hand rests but in this dental clinic with DR KATHRYN POLYAKOV AND HER ASSISTANTS I just relax and lie down and under the arms ... AND IF I COULD GIVE RLES 100 STARS I WOULD GIVE THEM ... THE SERVICE IS VERY FAST, THEY DO NOT MAKE YOU WAIT ... Dr. kathryn Polyakov Is not an ethical dentist. I went there to do only one filling and during the procedure I asked her if she could replace the amalgam that I had in the tooth on the opposite side of my mouth by the next week, and she said it would be ok to do the procedure at the same day. I thought that weird because both of the sides of my mouth would be numb and even my throat. Well, I trusted her and I right after she injected the numb, my heart started to have palpitations and I felt really bad. We had to wait like 30 minutes for me to recover in order to her to start the other procedure. She said that it happens sometimes but I went to a different dentist and she explained me that they would never numb both sides of the mouth because people can have complications. So now I know she just wanted to get money that day. I would never recommend her to anyone. I understand that they work for money as everyone else but they would never play with peoples lives because of money.

I have been Dr. Kathryn's patient since I was 11 years old. Every time I go there I am greeted with a smile. She's caring and thoughtful and has always taken care of my teeth specially when I had braces. She's very professional and excellent at her job. I do not like going to a dentist and am anxious about it. I was recommended 2 implants and went to several offices but was hesitant to start. This is how I came to Star Smile 5 months ago. Dr Kathryn and her staff helped me to overcome my fear. The implants were easy and painless, the gum healing went great and the last week, I finally got my 2 new crowns that look like my own teeth used to look. They were also very good in explaining costs and how my insurance works. Great job, folks, thank you! Best dentist place I have ever been!
