Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Specialty Permit #06022 I was born and raised in Canada ( not in an igloo, eh), and completed my Honours Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry at the University of Toronto in 2002. Following my undergraduate studies, I ventured south of the Canadian border and obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the prestigious Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery.

After dental school, I wanted to expand my dental horizons and underwent rigorous training in a General Practice Residency at Harvard University, sharing my time between Brigham and Womens Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Dana Farber Cancer Insititute. It was during this time in Boston where I found my passion for Pediatric Dentistry. Subsequently, I obtained a Fellowship Certificate in Special Care Dentistry at Helen Hayes Hospital in Rockland, NY, where I was privileged to treat special needs patients both in the traditional dental setting and in the operating room. Following this fellowship, I spent two additional years of Pediatric training at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, where I received extensive training in all aspects of pediatric dental care. During my time at Montefiore, I was elected by my colleagues and attending faculty as the Chief Resident of the Pediatric Dental program.

All of my extensive post-graduate training has enhanced my expertise in all aspects of Pediatric Dentistry, including behaviour management and guidance techniques, preventive and restorative treatment of caries, treatment of developmentally disabled children and adults, major and minor dental trauma, orthodontics, and treatment of patients under sedation and in the operating room. I am one of few pediatric dentists in the U.S. that is certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

So over the last 2 years my sons had scheduled appointments that I had to cancel. I schedule their appointments together. I canceled one due to covid concerns and the other because my oldest had to go back to college early and we had to change his flight. Both times I called to cancel or responded via the text sent to confirm. They are claiming I canceled 4 times because they are 2 different people. Although the appointments were together. So stupid. Things happen in life. Something tells me that this is a blessing in disguise especially since the Dentist was the one who gave my son the cleaning the last time. Not the Dental Hygienist. Was on the fence since then but now I'm sure. The first lady was nice enough but the 2nd thought by being curt and cutting me off mid sentence that she handle it well. Poorly done.

A Harvard educated doctor you can afford? Yes! Ask for Dr. Goldman... she is phenomenal and went above and beyond. Thorough, never rushed, and made sure I completely understood all aspects of the plan for my children. As a father of 4, my two little girls love her and my oldest (who has autism) needed some treatment and Dr. Goldman and her assistant could not have been more patient and fun. Her entire team is friendly, helpful, but most importantly, helpful! I refuse to go anywhere else!

I've been happy bringing my two children here until today. The hygienists are so sweet and patient. They deal with the little ones really well. The dentist is also very kind. The office is well kept and everyone is friendly. Today my son went in for 4 fillings and my husband was blindsided with a $523 copay. When I called to ask about why we had not been informed beforehand of the cost, the woman on the phone told me that I was informed during the last visit when I made the appointment, and that I signed the treatment plan. Confused, I asked if she could send me the signed agreement. She sent me a digital version of the treatment plan, without my signature. I saw the total cost, the 'office discount', the amount covered by insurance, and my estimated out of pocket cost of $671. I called back asking if I signed a physical piece of paper with the treatment plan and cost and if I had received a copy. She said that I had not signed a physical piece of paper and that I did not receive a copy. She explained that either she or her co-worker verbally went over the plan and cost in detail and that I signed the pad digitally. I explained that no one went over the cost with me, but she insisted repeatedly that someone had. If someone had, I would have immediately discussed it with my husband and called my previous pediatric dentist in New York. I've had this same insurance for 16 years, and have gotten fillings for my daughter before. It was at another office in New York, but I paid under $100 for those 2 fillings in total, so I never expected for my son's bill to be over $500. I don't expect anything for free or think that all offices charge the same amount, I'm just giving some context for my surprise at the cost. I'm shocked at the lack of understanding. It was made out that there was absolutely no way that she or her co-worker could have made a mistake. I'm not sure how she could be certain of what her co-worker said or did not say to me months ago. I know for sure that I would not dismiss or forget about a nearly $700 estimated cost. SIGNED DIGITALLY: Nicole Capone

My almost 2 year old just had her first ever dentist appointment at Star Pediatric Dentistry of Manalapan. I was nervous because I expected her to freak out with a stranger so close to her but she did great! The hygienist, whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, was amazing. She was so nice and made my daughter so comfortable. She showed her every tool and let her touch them before they were used. The dentist, Dr. Donahue, was also so nice and great with my daughter. Overall, an unexpectedly awesome first dental experience!!!

We hit the Pediactric Dentist Jackpot when we picked Dr. Verma. He is sent from above! He explains the process to the parents and the children step by step with complete gentleness. His positivity and patience is remarkable and genuine. I can't say enough good things about this doctor.
