Our first experiences here were good - check ups and x rays. When it came time to get cavities repaired, that is when it went downhill quickly. We prepared a lot for our son going in to get fillings (he is almost 4). We watched videos, spoke about it... when we were there, we got the slot just before lunch. The workers said they were waiting to go on their lunch break and they rushed. They took out straps before anything had even happened and started tying our boy down. It probably would have been a fair experience if they didn't rush and would have let our son know what was going on, so that he would know. Instead, they were hungry and wanted to get it over with. They are very nice, otherwise, but they have ruined the dentist for our boy. He sat nicely and got X-rays and was brave before, but now he will not go near a dentist chair. I have tried going to the dentist with him twice since this and he is traumatized to the point that he will not let anyone near him at the dentists. They are not patient with children who are scared, nor with parents who need to explain what is going on. We enjoyed this dentist-office and facility as it nice and friendly. However, when the rubber met the road - it melted badly.

Dr. Y. and her team are awesome. My ten year old has pretty severe anxiety, but also needed braces to make room for her adult teeth to come down. The team has been kind and patient from the very start and helped her learn coping skills - to breathe, relax, and move her feet when tense, and get past her worry. Today she got her braces off and she looks lovely! Thank you Angel for your amazing expertise and willingness to stop and explain every step, and Everardo for working so hard to finish her scans even during your lunch. I highly recommend this group - from the front office to the ortho assistants and the doctor herself.

Yesterday was my first time going to this place!!! Very unprofessional staff, receptionist called me 10 mins before arriving to my appointment just to make sure my daughters insure was active. They should verified that information a day before not before arriving to your appointment. Staff is not friendly at all. The Girl that gave me pricing for what my daughter need it had such a nasty attitude. Definitely Not coming back.

A few weeks ago I discovered that my two year old had cavaties (scary thought) and I had a recommendation from a friend to go see Dr. Sohrab and I am so glad I did. Dr. Sohrab was so patient and so caring with my two year old, he communicated every step of the way what he was going to do and why - it really helped bring a parent like myself who has so much anxiety with these type of things at ease. The experience just went so smooth. He was able to remove the cavity, my son had no pain and the enitre process was so quick. Afterwards he gave a bunch of goodies to my him, which he was so excited about. I really appreciate how easy he made going to a dentist for my son (and me) and all the expertise and knowledge of handling young kids and their parents like myself.

Made a first appointment for my son and i provided all his info and today they called to confirm his app and i said yes. They called back asking to confirm appointment again as if they haven't spoken to me and mentioned another kids name under my sons insurance. Then i was put on hold and Nancy the manager came back with another child's name and mother's name under my son's insurance. Confused as i was i asked to speak to the owner. Very Very rude. He was yelling at me and speaking over me and wouldn't let me talk. He kept mentioning money and man power he doesn't have to see 80 patients a day and that i shouldn't come bc he cant have a relationship with me. He mentioned man power 4 times. I finally hung up. Nancy the manager wasn't mean or rude but i think she was confused about the information put in as well.

I have been taking my kids here for years but they never needed anything too crazy until today. One of my kids needed fillings and removal of some baby teeth. He was scared and nervous but the dentist was just amazing! She did a great job of keeping him calm and distracted. When she was done he had not felt any of the tooth removal or fillings. The staff was helpful and understanding. They all made taking my kids to the dentist a breeze! Would definitely recommend them next time your kiddos need a dentist.

I loved my experience there in the beginning of my visit, front staff is very friendly and welcoming. In the back, the assistant Aileen was wonderful, very kind hearted!! However, the "lead" of the office, the manager was horrible!!! Thanks to her attitude I will not be attending this office again. She did not want to make any exemptions to take my daughter in for treatment. They were not flexible with their schedule at all. The manager was very rude and did not care if my daughter had her tooth fixed or not. She wouldn't even let the staff answer the questions I was asking...she was answering for them. Talk about being rude and controlling.

UPDATE: I went to get a second opinion for my daughters Porcelain crown that kept falling off. The dentist here blamed that my daughter was eating gummy foods and for that reason it kept falling off. I kept having to get it re-cemented. I decided to go to a specialist. Speciaist said that the dentist who did the prep had grinded my daughter's tooth too small that there was nothing to have the crown seated on. I trusted this place to get the job done and they failed. I don't recommend this place. Staff in the front don't communicate if they are going to take longer to let me in the room and one staff in the front was condescending when i was purchasing a treatment.

I feel so lucky that we found Dr. Sohrab. Your child will not have a better first experience at the dentist anywhere else. Dr. Sohrab is so incredibly patient and caring with the kids. He takes his time with each patient and you never feel rushed, like other dentists might make you feel. The atmosphere of the office is so light and happy -- kids love being there. So grateful for Dr. Sohrab and his amazing staff!

I truly feel like we hit the jackpot with Star Kids and most especially with Dr Sohrab. He was 100% kind, thorough, thoughtful and skilled. He explained everything we needed done which was unfortunately a lot. We've had prior dental experiences with so many child dentists as well as a variety of others that were not much short of awful. All of the staff was accommodating, even getting us in on the first visit for treatment later on that day. There was virtually no wait time and genuinely interested and attentive staff who truly cared. Thank you from a very happy mother who had nearly given up hope on finding a quality practice. You made all the difference and i have a very relieved daughter who even thanked the nurse and doctor after a tough extraction!

My son has been going to Star Kids Dental for years and we have never had a bad experience until today. I am very disappointed with today's visit (05/15) at Star Kids Dental. For the first time- a huge disappointment.. Dr Sohrab is amazing doctor. Unfortunately, he was OOO today and we have a different doctor. My son had 3 cavities to fix. They did local anesthesia, white fillings, pulpotomy, stainless steels crowns and laughing gas. It was terrible - he was crying all the way of process. He was lying down and could not breath because of that laughing gas on his nose ( I asked to take it off on half process). Overall, it was terrible first treatment experience for him and for me. + I had to pay a full amount first. +No refunds for laughing gas not being used a half of process. Administrator just responded- we do not issue any refunds. Seriously? What about let's start a treatment -> let's see how your child feels and how all the process goes first? We are not coming back..:(
