Dr. Jeannene Bradley was born in Sacramento, California, and raised in Prescott, Arizona. She began her dental career during her senior year of high school in 1985, when she was employed as a dental assistant trainee. She continued to work in dental offices in San Diego for three years. The next stop was Los Angeles for two years, at which time she was employed as office manager at Roentgen Medical X-Ray Company, which is the largest radiographic company in the United States.

Dr. Bradley relocated to Chesapeake Virginia in 1992, where she resided for nine years. During this time, Dr. Bradley attended the accredited dental assisting program at Old Dominion University during 1994 and 1995, where she graduated valedictorian of the class. In June 1995, she passed the certified dental assistant board exam and started working for Dr. William B. Keeler, which soon became her mentor and encouraged her to continue with her education toward the path of becoming a dentist.

In June 1997, Dr. Bradley enrolled at Old Dominion University to start undergraduate studies, with the focus being biology/predental. She relocated to Richmond in 2002 and continued her undergraduate studies for one year at Virginia Commonwealth University before being accepted to its School of Dentistry in 2003, which she graduated from in May 2007. She joined Dr. Bradjics office on August 1, 2007, as an associate doctor. When Dr. Bradjic retired in June 2011, Dr. Bradley purchased his practice and changed the name to Star City Family Dentistry, Inc. Although the location has gone through some changes over the years, it has been a pleasure to treat patients that have been coming here for over 50 years.

Dr. Bradleys goal as a dentist is to provide quality dentistry for patients in a comfortable, positive and nonjudgmental atmosphere at a reasonable cost. In order to do this, she chooses to be a provider for many dental insurance providers so our patients can receive the care they need.

Dr. Bradley has been married to her husband, Thomas, for over 23 years and together they have two daughters. When not at the office, she and her husband ride motorcycles and are big Virginia Tech Hokies fans. Although not a hobby, they are very supportive of their daughters participation in and love of sports.

Kathleen became a part of our practice in June 2017. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in letters, arts and sciences and then went on to graduate from the Jefferson College of Health Sciences emergency medicine program (EMT). She started in the dental field as a dental assistant in 1982 and has worked as a practice manager in a variety of settings. Kathleen enjoys that each day she gets to work with a wonderful team of caring professionals who deliver excellent patient care. Kathleen contributes to our success by managing patient flow and care, and also by ensuring that our patients are aware of their insurance benefits and receive maximum benefits.

Kathleen is married and has three children, one stepson and one granddaughter. She is the proud owner of Walnut Hollow Farm, where she has a horse, goats, chickens and ducks. She is a NREMT/ AIC with Roanoke County Fire Station #5 Hollins Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad and also serves as the Outreach Coordinator and is a Registered Instructor for the American College of Surgeons STOP THE BLEED program.

Karma became a part of our team in July 2021. She graduated from Staunton River High School with an advanced diploma and completed two courses at Central Virginia Community College. She likes welcoming patients with smiles and having them feel at home at the practice. Karma contributes to our office with her bubbly and happy personality, which helps our patients feel at ease and makes explaining and answering questions easier since they feel comfortable, welcomed and treated like family.

Shelby has been a dental assistant since 2015 and joined our practice in 2021. She likes the relationships that we build with our patients and our incredible teamwork we have that ensures we meet all of our patients needs. As a dental assistant, she loves to see patients smiles transformed. There are many patients with high levels of anxiety when it comes to being seen by the dentist, and her goals are to ease patients anxieties and build trust. She feels like this creates a bond that encourages patients to continue making regular dental visit and keeps their smiles healthy.

Kimberly joined our team in November of 2021. She graduated from Virginia Western Community College in 1994, where she obtained a health and science associate degree. She contributes to our office by bringing her experience and education to the table, which she uses to help our patients maintain healthy oral hygiene. She values the great communication we cultivate with our patients and loves how our team works so well together.

Kimberly is married to her husband, Randy, and together, they have three adult children and a Husky named Jemma. When not working at our practice, Kimberly enjoys traveling, going to the beach and mountains, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Bradley is a phenomenal dentist. She is patient and caring. She has been our family dentist for years, and she will continue. We would never think of attending a different practice!

Our family has been coming to Star City Family for numerous years. We love our experience with Dr. Jeannie Bradley. She takes her time and ensures comfort with her patients, which is much appreciated when you have anxiety with going to see a dentist. She eliminates all fears! When our daughter first started going to the dentist at a young age, Dr. Bradley's atmosphere created zero fears and anxiety for her. Due to our daughter's experience, she LOVES going to the dentist. Thank you for your kindness!

I had my first filling done this morning and never felt anything. Doctor Bradley did an amazing job, Shelby and the rest of her staff are always super friendly! I was Leary when searching for a new dentist, they have met and exceeded my expectations to say the least.

Be prepared to pay $75 fee for not keeping an appointment, even if it is a misunderstanding about appointment date. I have talked to a Roanoke resident who has that a standard fee for cancellation at her dentist is $25. Another friend who lives in Minnesota said no fee is applied. I have no dental insurance, am retired, and a senior citizen who has been a patient at this practice for many, many years and have spent thousands of dollars in dental care. However, no professional courtesy of rescinding this fee and no important outstanding treatment allowed w/o paying fee upfront. Very mercenary practice.

I have never been a fan of the dentist. I have had a lot of anxiety when it comes to going to see one and most often I only went when I couldn't bare the pain any longer. Enter Dr Bradley at Star City Family Dentistry. I have been there several times as she and her staff have repaired years of neglect. Never once giving me a hard time nor causing me any additional pain. I look forward to my visits now and am always satisfied. I always show up on time or early and am grateful they are top notch. I will be glad when the repairs are done but will continue to visit for exams and cleanings. Dr Bradley does great work! Top shelf staff.

I love this dental group! Dr. Bradley, Mary and all of the staff go above and beyond, especially if you have an urgent dental problem. They listen to you and work to provide a solution. They have always been there when I needed them. Thank you for all the years you have taken great care of my teeth. I really miss you now that I have moved to SC.

This is absolutely the best dentist office in Roanoke. I just switched dentist offices and was happy from the minute I walked in the door. The office is so clean and new, the staff is all friendly and efficient and the doctor is wonderful and very very personable. I would recommend this office over any other and give it 10 stars if it was possible!! I can't say enough it is fantastic!! I'll continue to go here for many many years to come!! I switched from Dr.Moore/Allen's office please stay away from them! The front desk is completely inefficient, rude and basically lie. I'm very displeased with them. Please steer clear of that office and go to Star City instead!!

I do not want to go in to the details , they are just good enough to clean your teeth , Run as fast as possible if they offer any moderate to major dental work. I wish I had.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bradley's for over ten years. She and the office staff are friendly, professional and prompt. I have never had to wait more than five minutes when arriving for an appointment. When I first visited Dr. Bradley's office, I had four front teeth that had been heavily bonded over the years. She recommended replacing the bonding material with caps or veneers. During the process, I was told what would be done beforehand and asked often if I was experiencing discomfort. I was provided absolutely wonderful patient care throughout the entire procedure. The four teeth turned out beautifully and still look the same as they did over ten years ago when applied. I highly recommend Dr. Bradley and her office staff without reservation.

If you check my reviews you will see that I don't generally leave bad reviews. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt and will often go to businesses more than once before I write them off as bad businesses. Even then, I just quietly disappear instead of leaving a bad online review. I actually waited several months before writing a review of this particular clinic but after having a fantastic experience at another dentist, I knew that I needed to come back and review this place. The phone staff is friendly (this earns the office two stars instead of one) but the hygienist and the dentist are not friendly and are down right condescending. They basically mocked me for not understanding some things that they seemed to feel were common dental knowledge. (I assure you they were not common knowledge things as I've asked several other people about these points of concern including others in the field.) However, I will be sure to petition my university for a full refund on my Master's degree since they did not bother to teach me about dentistry while I was studying a totally unrelated subject. Clearly my school dropped the ball. The hygienist also questioned me about something on my medical history form in a VERY rude way. Also, despite communicating my deeply rooted fear and anxiety issues about doctors of all kinds, they were just very, very uncaring and impatient. Not everyone is warm and fuzzy. I totally get that and I generally have no problems with such people. However, there was no excuse for the behavior of this dentist nor that of her hygienist.

Great location and staff. I've never had any issues with anything and some of the most gentle hygienists around. People complaining about cancellation charge for <24hr notice but they make everyone aware of this when you are a patient. Don't feel sorry for those folks!

Dr. Bradley is very thorough and yet her prices are very reasonable and she won't do unnecessary work just for the money. Her hygienists are just as excellent as she is.
