Following her time in Chapel Hill, she decided to experience the city, and moved to Boston. There she obtained her MS in Oral Health Sciences, and her DMD from Boston University. I was born in Fresno, CA, and hold a B.S. in psychobiology and a Minor in Spanish from UCLA. During college I had an interest in neuroscience and worked in a lab studying traumatic brain injury. However, I found that dentistry offered a unique balance of science, craftsmanship, and compassionate patient care that drew me to the field. I received my dental degree from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. I have enjoyed serving my community as a dentist - I worked for four years at a public health clinic in East Los Angeles. I also participated in a two-week mission trip to the Philippines where our group offered preventive care and extractions in various rural towns. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and Im continuously learning and developing new skills. My wife and I have a young daughter and two cats. In my free time I enjoy the outdoors: snowboarding, golfing, surfing, and hiking. We also enjoy traveling and finding great places to eat.
Dr. Mika Robinson grew up in Okinawa, Japan and relocated to Kenly, North Carolina at the age of 14. I graduated from UNC-Greensboro with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies and attended ECU School of Dental Medicine right after. While in dental school, I was the treasurer for the Hispanic Student Dental Association and American Association of Public Health Dentistry. I enjoyed serving the local community and educating my patients on oral health management. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family members and cooking Japanese food.
After getting your first mold, we will schedule checkups with you every six to eight weeks to check the progress of your teeth alignment journey. You will also be refitted for new aligners each visit, which will help to align your teeth with time. You should begin seeing results within only a few weeks of wearing your first plastic aligner. Since Invisalign are clear, they are virtually invisible to the naked eye, giving you peace of mind knowing you can still smile the way you want to in public. You can also remove your Invisalign while eating or brushing your teeth, which is unique to Invisalign. Invisalign is also for adults - not just for teenagers who want to straighten their teeth and restore their smiles.
