Joseph L. Keefer DMD is a native Pennsylvanian. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1984, and completed a one-year postgraduate residency in 1985. He started a private practice in 1985 in his hometown of Camp Hill, PA.
Dr. Keefer has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry since 1984. The AGD is committed to excellence in continuing education. He earned the AGD Fellowship Award in 1993 and the prestigious AGD Mastership Award in 2003. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the First District Dental Society of North Carolina, and the Gaston County Dental Society. Dr. Keefer recently completed a rigorous 6-month mini-residency in Dental implants. He received the Fellowship Award of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (IOCI) in April 2010.
While Dr. Keefer occasionally fills-in at the office, he is thoroughly enjoying retirement, filling his days with family, fishing, and being outdoors with his numerous adopted dogs. He is a past Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 49 in Stanley.

Dr. Laura is an excellent dentist. Not only is she highly skilled but very caring as well. Her staff is nice and strives to put you at ease. If you need a dentist, Stanley Dentistry is the place to go.

I recently had a dental issue and went to Dr. Lara for an evaluation. She did a very thorough exam and diagnosed the problem. I needed a root canal. After an absolutely painless injection, she started the procedure, which was also painless! That night, I ate cold Greek olives without pain for the first time in weeks. Thank you Dr. Lara! I highly recommend this dental practice. Excellent staff! Excellent dentist!

After all these years I finally feel comfortable and relaxed during my dental visits. My cleaning was very gentle and calm, during which Hailey made small conversation about things we have in common. I felt like I had known her for much longer. Dr. Lara was very thorough in her exam and also very gentle. I've had a filling also and it was nothing like I dreaded. Again, I felt totally relaxed. I highly recommend Stanley Family Dentistry as the entire office is especially friendly, makes you feel comfortable and I no longer put off my visits! My teeth are very well taken care of by Dr. Lara and her staff.

I've been a patient of Dr. Keefer's for over 13 years. Dr. Keefer is highly skilled and continues his education regularly. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares for his patients. The dental assistances are attentive to the patients and work seamlessly with Dr Keefer. The office staff is efficient and friendly. I highly recommend them!

Had to have a tooth pulled and they were so nice and caring of my needs. Very professional, and kept talking to me to make me feel more comfortable and telling me what they were doing. It was a stubborn tooth, but I never felt any pain and has been a great recovery. I'm not crazy about going to the dentist, but I would definitely go back. Super people!

I was in a lot of pain i called them and was told to come on in. Once i got there i didn't have to wait i was took right back they fixed the problems i was having. I will definitely be going back and i highly recommend to anyone that this is the place to go. Not only are they very friendly but they take the time to listen and they care about there patience.
