Dr. Stan Turner grew up in Abilene attending local schools, graduating from Abilene Christian University. He received his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He returned to Abilene establishing a private practice in cosmetic and family practice.
Dr. Turner is a member of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association. He has been a member of the POGO Academy Study Group in Dallas, and is a sustaining member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
With more then 30years in private practice, Dr. Turner is committed to excellence for his patients. He spends 50 hours or more per year refining his skills and knowledge in advanced continuing education courses. Areas of study include: cosmetics, implants, pedodontics and orthodontics. He places a high priority on staying up to date with the latest technological advances in patient care and equipment available. He enjoys interacting with patients and producing quality dental care in a friendly, compassionate, and relaxed environment with Christ as his example.
His favorite part of dentistry is being able to sit down with a patient and listening to their needs. Whether its getting out of pain, or improving your smile, the first step of taking the time to listen to the patient is the most important. You can trust your smile and oral health to the caring hands of Dr. Garrett.
Over the years Dr. Turner has assembled a group of highly skilled and talented dental professionals. They continually refine their knowledge with advanced continuing education courses in cosmetic, restorative, orthodontics, and preventative care dentistry. During your visit, our team will do everything they can to make sure you are comfortable and well-informed.
Dr. Turner understands that some patients may experience anxiety when visiting the dentist. He is certified in sedation dentistry giving adult and child patients a comfortable treatment alternative that will alleviate fear and anxiety.

Dr Stan Turner and his staff are always putting a smile on my face. Every time I leave their office, I am well pleased. Today my hygienist showed me a couple amazon links that will Make my life easier when when flossing. I can now try flossing every time I get in the shower with a battery operated water pik! That there makes life easier! Why didn't I ever think of that? Also, again Dr Stan Turner made me feel like I am someone special. He always does. Today he took 10 Min out of his day and we had a pleasant conversation about life. He truly cares. <3 Thank you Dr Turner.

Fantastic first experience with Dr. Turner! I've put off going to the dentist for WAY too long. Did some research and settled on him. I had an abscessed tooth. They got me in the next day. Every single person I encountered was great! Super quick! Valarie got me the appointment. Hannah was the tech. Very friendly and has been there 8 years. Said she loved working there. That says a lot to me. Dr. Turner took the time to chat some and then explain the procedure. Never acted in a hurry. Really seemed to enjoy the conversations. I am very pleased with my decision and suggest you give them a try!
