Dr. Jonice Thompson is a passionate young dentist who loves making her patients smile. She was born on the beautiful Island of Nassau, Bahamas, and it was there that she worked with her family dentist as a teenager and was drawn to dentistry as a career. Dr. Jonice Thompson left her home in pursuit of an undergraduate degree at Barry University in Miami, Florida. After completing her undergraduate studies in 2001, Dr. Jonice Thompson went on to study at Howard University School of Dentistry in Washington DC. Upon graduating dental school, her insatiable quest for knowledge led her to do advanced training at Mount Sinai Hospital General Practice Residency Program in New York City.
Since completing her residency, Dr. Jonice Thompson has practiced throughout the tri-state area, gaining invaluable experience in all aspects of dentistry. She is certified in many areas of her field, including but not limited to cosmetic dentistry, implant restoration, and minor oral surgery procedures. She is an Invisalign preferred provider, and as a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry, she is encouraged to participate in continuing education courses in order to stay on the cutting edge of the dental profession. Dr. Jonice Thompson believes learning is a lifetime process and is always learning new techniques and procedures so her patients can be sure they are receiving the absolute best of care.
Charity plays a major role in Dr. Jonice Thompsons professional and personal lives. In her personal time she can be found volunteering with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. She is also a big supporter of local charities and is always looking for ways to lend her skills or just a helping hand.
A note from the doctor: I am so happy that my career path has led me to Stanhope Family Dentistry. The principles that Stanhope Family Dentistry was built on excellence in dentistry and the highest standard of patient care are exactly the foundation on which I have been building my career in dentistry. Nothing makes me happier than to break down the walls of fear in patients, get them to trust and to give them their smiles back. It is very important to me to develop a personal relationship with my patients and to have them leave our office feeling as though they have received the best care, and more importantly, like they were treated like family.
At Stanhope family dentistry we are all about comfort. We offer our patients their own individual headsets in the treatment room with access to a choice of any genre of music, or a wide selection of Direct TV channels. There is always a refreshing cold or hot beverage in the waiting room, but dont expect to be waiting long.
Your first visit to our office is all about us getting to know you. Your dental and Medical history is an important part of that. We may ask you to arrive a few minutes early to complete forms. For added convenience we have patient forms available online that you can download, complete and fax to us or bring with you. Forms are a small part of the Stanhope Dental experience. You can expect to be greeted and treated warmly. You can be assured any dental problem you may have will be addressed. We are committed to making your dental visit as pleasant as possible

This is my first visit to this dental office. Friend recommended me. Painless cleaning is what I needed. Dr. Thomson was so gentle. If you have kids scared to go to the dentist. You should consider this place. They will definitely change their mind about going to the dentist.

Outstanding dentist and practice! I first came in for a routine cleaning and exam and it was a while since I've seen a dentist. I had some apprehension/anxiety from previous less than average experiences elsewhere and I can't explain how incredible this practice was. Every step of the way I was greeted with smiles, every question was answered, the doctor was so calming and professional. She even called me herself when I had a question. I went ahead and did veneers on my front teeth because I felt I could truly trust the doctor and practice. It was cosmetic and I don't have dental insurance for the other stuff and her prices were extremely reasonable. My front teeth are fixed, and they look amazing!!! Kiddos to Dr. Thompson and staff- I couldn't be any happier :)

I have been going here for 10 plus years now. The staff is awsome the service is great. They treat you like family from the time you walk in untill the time you leave.The best Dentistry around by far if your looking for a dentist look no more Stanhope family dentistry is the place to go.

If you are like most people and hate gong to the dentist, then go to Stanhope Family Dentistry. They do an AMAZING job, from top to bottom. To making sure your insurance paperwork is in order to major dental issues, everything is handled professionally.

I had a dental emergency and called Stanhope Family Dental. Not only did they see me immediately but they gave me excellent treatment. Sue at the front desk is friendly and very knowledgeable. Jonice the dentist made me very comfortable as I was in a lot of pain. I found my forever dentist!
