Dr. DeGrado graduated from Columbia College of Dental Medicine in 1993, then completed a residency at Manhattan VA hospital the following year. In 1996, he finished his implant fellowship at Brookdale University Hospital. Then, in 2000, his Prosthodontic residency was completed at Montefiore Medical Center. He relocated his practice from New York City to Stamford, CT in 2000 and was the founder of Stamford Dental Group, LLC. As a prosthodontist, Dr. DeGrado has advanced training and significant experience in providing lifelike restoration and replacement teeth. In addition, Dr. DeGrado serves as a resource to general dentists in the greater Stamford area. Dentists refer to him their most challenging cases. Dr. DeGrado holds membership in the American Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontists, Connecticut State Dental Association, and is an associate fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. DeGrados articles on various dental implant procedures and research have been published in professional journals.
To support the community, Dr. DeGrado works with the Connecticut Mission of Mercy. He also supports the Stamford Food Bank and ARI, an organization for adults with disabilities, as well as Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Stamford Dental Group has donated free dentistry to 100 patients at the Dentistry from the Heart annual event. Dr DeGrado has served Connecticut patients and dentists for over 20 years. Dr. DeGrado knows that his passion for and dedication to his career are well worth the hard work when a patient experiences renewed confidence and quality of life after treatment.
Dr. Maratta completed his undergraduate degree at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. He received his DMD from the University of Connecticut and completed an AEGD at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine in New York. Dr. Maratta completed his specialty training in Prosthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Prosthodontists. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and skiing. Dr. Maratta has been with our practice for almost 10 years. His focus is dental implants as well as fixed and removable prosthetics.

Stamford Dental Group is the best in Stamford. Dr. Maratta is very professional and knowledgeable. Denise is the best hygienist I have ever met. The support staff are awesome. They have been taking care of my dental care for 10 years and I'm very satisfied.

After having only one dentist my entire life, my beloved dentist of 35 years retired and so I was anxious about making a change. My boss at the time referred me to Dr Degrado and Stamford Dental Group, and I was very happy from the start. I have been a patient now for ten years, and we travel from Wilton to Stamford to come here. Monica and the team were very friendly and made me feel comfortable and welcome. I liked Dr Degrado and Denise the hygienist from the start. Soon thereafter, my husband began going to Stamford Dental. The first dentist in the practice he saw (she is not there anymore) was not a good fit for him and so I talked to Monica about it - she was very gracious, understood the concerns and immediately made a change. They always put the patients needs first, and sometimes a doctor/patient do not connect well which they understood. Don't be afraid to speak up! A few years down the line, my husband went in for a routine visit where they discovered he had a tooth that needed immediate emergency removal - it required an oral surgeon as it was very complicated. I cannot say enough about how the team, Monica in particular, handled the situation. They got him in right away with a top oral surgeon and handled everything. Monica was very communicative with me and and I felt like I had a friend helping me, not just someone doing their job. Monica and her team are also very knowledgeable about insurance coverage. Overall, I think this is an excellent practice - clean, professional, caring and accommodating. Also, I have had the pleasure of working with them on a community event that they do - Dentistry from the Heart - which allows for children and adults who don't have access to dental care to receive FREE dental care on a designated day. I highly recommend Dr Degrado and his team!

It is a horrible place!!! They didn't finished my services.. they charged me a lot of money for awful work I had to go to another dentist to fix it and spent another fortune! My new dentist was shocked to see what this place did to my teeth.. the secretary was rude when I complained about it and screamed at me and told me to get out!! Please don't waste your money and be careful with your teeth.. It's a huge scam!!!

This has been where I have received dental care for over 20 years. I am more than satisfied. The hygienist, Denise, Katie, the dental assistant deserve special notice. Dr. DeGrado is a fine dentist, but, he also has assembled an office of very competent people who make the business flow. In the "front" office, Monica is in charge of billing and related concerns. Knowledgable about payment processes and insurance. Denise, the hygienist has years of experience and is very thorough both in examining the situation and in making one's mouth feel fresh and clean, when the session is done. Katie, one of the dental assistants is gentle, confident and skillful, preparing for the Dentist's moments of attention, and while he is working, Katie seems to execute a skilled dance of knowing where he need her hands and the suction and other assistance, and when she is preparing or cleaning up, great skill and confidence.

From the moment I walked in Allison the Office Manager put me at such ease. I broke my front tooth so I was extremely upset, the staff really made me feel like it's ok and I will feel good again. They made my root canel apptoinment the same day to get me on my way for a permanent crown. I live over an hour away and love making the trip to see the girls and have all of my dental needs cared for. The doctors are highly skilled and there work is impeccable. I have used them for other services as I trust all of there recommendations.

As a patient of Stamford Dental Group for over 13 years, I highly recommend this practice. I only have positive things to say about this practice. Over the years they have taken care of my routine cleaning and cavities. As someone who has had a life long history of dental issues I could not be happier in finding them. Over the years they have taken care of root canals, broken teeth, caps and bridges, etc. for me. Recently I had total upper dental implants done. I now have beautiful teeth, a life long goal thanks to Dr. DeGrado and his team. The office staff is friendly and professional from Alison and Monika at the front desk to Vita, Katie and Adria the dental assistants. Dr. DeGrado has given me excellent dental care and had met all my dental needs. He is professional, kind and gentle and always available to listen to my concerns. On every visit I feel like I am a priority. The office atmosphere is very friendly and pleasant. During the pandemic you couldn't have entered a space that felt more safe and accommodating. Again, I highly recommend Dr. DeGrado and his entire team.

Run fast. This dental group did unnecessary work on all three of my kids. My youngest they said he needed 6 fillings. The oldest the dentist made her tooth worse. The dental hygienist was so rough she made my teeth hurt for months. They are hard-sell and should be ashamed of themselves. Run fast .........

I walked in to Stamford Dental Group on a recommendation because of some sensitivity and due to my lack of dental upkeep and had many problems that had to be addressed. I am very thankful for the good recommendation as everyone at Stamford Dental did everything they could to help me. From making my appointments to helping me understand what needed to be done to return to a healthy mouth all of the staff were extremely welcoming and very kind. Dr.Rhugielyn has been amazing in helping me return to no pain. She makes sure I understand each step of the process and is excellent in her skills. I am so grateful to every staff member I have come across as they are truly caring and kind and treat you as family. It is a wonderful practice that gives excellent care and outstanding service.

My Dentist moved out of state and my Doctor recommended Dr. DeGrado. My first visit to SDG was like an emergency, my crown came off and I called SDG for a last minute same day appointment and Monika was very kind and compassionate and scheduled me for same day appointment. Dr. DeGrado is an excellent Dentist, very knowledgeable and he explains each procedure he is performing on you and makes it as pain free as possible. He is the Ultimate Professional! The Dental Hygienist that is assigned to work on you are also exceptional, they too explain each procedure that they perform on you and very caring. Monika and the office team are very friendly and helpful. Another plus is their Office Hours, early opening and late closing to accommodate their patients. I love Stamford Dental Group and I feel blessed to have found them for all my dental care. I highly recommend SDG - you will get high quality dental service, and a very professional and friendly staff. THE BEST!!!

Unfortunately I am Not a patient there because I didn't show up last 2 years I send email to Allison so I can come fixe my bridge , I am so depressed about it !!!!!it comes out each time I eat !!!! She told me you are not longer patient here because you didn't come , before to send this email ask what's make me not to come and then send this email , my mouth is screwed my money gone and my smile gone too !!!!! The dentist is a great but money comes first
