Dr. David Stahr, DDS is an oral and maxillofacial surgeons (OMFS or OMS). Dr. Stahr is a board certified oral surgeon. He completed an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas and then went on to spend another four years as an oral and maxillofacial surgery resident at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and an active member of continuing medical education so that he can be at the forefront of this advanced specialty.
A common question is what exactly is an oral surgeon? Oral and maxillofacial surgeons (OMFS or OMS) are unique among dental specialists in a number of ways. After completing a 4 year dental program to earn their doctorate, they go on to spend another four to six years in a rigorous hospital-based residency program for surgery.
They are trained alongside other medical and surgical residents and are in fact the only other health care specialists (aside from anesthesiologists) who can administer all levels of sedation. Oral surgeons focus on treating complex surgical problems related to the hard and soft tissues of the face, mouth and jaws. Common problems they address are impacted teeth, complex dental extractions, performing dental implants, treatment and removal of some oral cancers and even higher level procedures such as facial reconstruction after trauma.

I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Stahr, and his team and he are very forward about all the possible risks and recovery period. I have zero complaints on my side as they have made the whole surgery process simple, quick, and mostly pain free with the normal healing process. They will take good care of you no matter what happens.

Don't schedule an appointment with them unless you're 100% sure you'll make it. I called 2 days before an appointment to cancel and I was going to reschedule before this because my backup for work no longer could pickup my shift but they charged me $150 for canceling within 48 hours and told me that it was a policy they tell all their customers. Personally, I struggle to find this policy true for I've had to schedule & reschedule appointments with them before and not once been told about this policy they "tell everyone". Now, I think I would remember a 48 hour cancellation policy if I had already needed to reschedule this appointment before and should've been told at least twice...

My wisdom teeth surgery went exceptionally well. The day after the surgery was full of little to no pain and zero swelling which was extremely appreciated during such a style of surgery and recovery. The staff and the entire process both in and out of the office, the follow up appointment, and the constant support during recovery really made the difference! Dr. Stahr truly cares about his patients and you can see that throughout the entire process.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed, they explained everything to me and it was very easy to understand. All of the workers are very nice. I would definitely recommend Stahr Oral Surgery.

Dr. Stahr and the rest of the girls are very nice and did great work, they gave me a blanket and let me hold their hand while getting an IV started because it was my first time.. it was done super fast and had a little pain afterwards but of course that's normal. He gets straight to the point and was great. So glad my teeth are gone and no problems happened.

Pay to much sed he dun Surgery on me all that was done was he pulled one tooth $480.00 bent the needle in my mouth dancing around what a joke for a dds my on dds is like $80.00 to take out a tooth been 4 days still herting. wood not talk my dog to hem

Dr. Stahr and his staff were amazing! I was in so much pain and Dr. Stahr was gracious to fit me into his busy schedule and see me right away. I've had gum swelling and bleeding for approximately 7 years, which was ignored by my dentists. Dr. Stahr is the first person who recognized that this was an issue and took my concerns seriously. He was able to significantly reduce my gum swelling and bleeding within one week of treatment. My gums are healthier than they have ever been, and I have been receiving several compliments on how much better my teeth look.

He does good work, but when you are quoted a price and then you get billed a surprise amount after you already paid and thought you were in the clear it's very unfortunate. I paid upfront for all the costs at the time of during the routine and I end up getting a surprise charge reported to the credit bureau.

Dr. Stahr and his team removed my lower wisdom teeth and were wonderful at doing so! They were kind and welcoming from the time I scheduled my consultation up until my final visit. I was so nervous, but Dr. Stahr insisted I would be fine and did everything to make me as comfortable as possible during the process. He was encouraging and honest about the process and recovery. I'm so happy that I went with him and his practice. I'm healing perfectly and have had minimal pain the entire time. Definitely recommend him and his team!!

My wisdom teeth extraction was a genuinely great experience. They provide things like PRF and Exparel to help with healing and pain management and these things are very worthwhile if you are able to pay the extra (they are fairly affordable, especially PRF). I didn't need opioids at all - didn't even fill the prescription. Dr. Stahr explained everything and gave me more information so I felt totally informed about everything in the process, and in my follow-up he explained and showed how to use the syringe to clean the sockets. The others working there were friendly and helpful, and they were willing to answer any questions along the way. I had an odd insurance situation and they figured it out so seamlessly that I didn't even have to think about it. Overall excellent experience. I would recommend them to anyone needing oral surgery.

Dr. Stahr extracted my two bottom wisdom teeth. Since I waited so long to have them removed, my recovery was a little more difficult and painful than most. Dr. Stahr went above and beyond to attend to me as a patient by calling multiple evenings to check on my progress and inviting me back in to the office to make sure I was on the right track.
