Jay W. Hildreth, DDS Dr. Jay Hildreth graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village Kansas in 1962. After attending The University of Kansas and University of Missouri at Kansas City for undergraduate studies, he entered the University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School, graduating in 1969. He married his wife, Judy, in June of 1967.

Dr. Hildreth and his wife moved to Fort Knox, Kentucky, in August of 1969, and Dr. Hildreth served in the Army Dental Corps until August of 1971. While they were at Ft. Knox, their first son, Jim, was born. After the service, Dr. Hildreth took over the practice of Dr. Throop in Wamego, Kansas in August of 1971. Their second son, Rob, was born in October of 1972. Dr. Hildreth practiced in Wamego until 2000. At that time, he semi-retired because of health limitations. Rob has three children. Jay and Judy enjoy their time following their grandchildrens activities.

Amber M. Mills, DDS Dr. Mills is from a small town in southern Iowa called Albia, where she went to high school. Following high school, Dr. Mills attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned her bachelors degree in food science and technology.

Moving into dental school, Dr. Mills completed extra coursework and graduated with distinction in dental public health from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. During her time in dental school, Dr. Mills also participated in volunteer programs with dental public health groups such as the Iowa Mission of Mercy, school based sealant and education programs, and a mission trip to rural Mexico that provided education and dental care to children with limited access to dentists.

Something Dr. Mills has taken from attending the University of Iowa is a unique dental education where she was able to learn to perform a wide variety of procedures that encompass all aspects of general dentistry. Despite being a newer dentist, she has rotated through many different types of clinics to gain experience working with pediatric, geriatric and special needs patients, as well as learning from many different professionals. With this knowledge, Dr. Mills has learned how to adapt to new situations to provide the best care for her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Mills loves to run, hike and paddleboard, as well as any other outdoor activity. For the past three years, she has also been enjoying aerial silks and trying any hobby that will keep her active.

Deann Office Manager Meet Deann, our office manager. Deann was born and raised in St. Marys. She attended Washburn University. She has worked in the dental field for over twenty years, in dental assisting and front desk duties. Deann has two daughters. Her oldest daughter graduated from Fort Hays State University with her masters degree in 2021. Her youngest daughter will graduate from St. Marys High School in 2023. Deann enjoys welcoming patients and making them feel comfortable. She enjoys working in her hometown at St. Marys Dental Center.

Elizabeth Registered Dental Hygienist Meet Liz, our registered dental hygienist. Liz was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas. She attended Kansas State University and Highland Community College Wamego. She graduated in dental hygiene at Fort Scott Community College. Liz has lived and practiced in Johnson County, where she raised four boys, for the last 13 years. After the craziness of 2020, Liz moved from Olathe to St. George, Kansas. She joined our team at St. Marys Dental Center in June 2020. Liz enjoys four wheelers, hiking trails, fishing, camping and just about anything outdoors with her family.
