He earned his Bachelors degree from Florida Atlantic University and graduated dental school from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena in Dominican Republic. He spent an additional 2 years furthering his education at New York Langone Hospitals obtaining an Advanced Education in General Dentistry with a focus on Oral Surgery in Cape Cod Massachusetts.
Dr. Almanzar provides a wide range of services, his extensive training and experience in oral surgery, implant dentistry, and invisalign certification has allowed Dr. Almanzar to provide the best possible comprehensive service to his patients.
Dr. Almanzar enjoys continued education and has over 400 hours of continued education in implant sinus lifts, cosmetic dentistry, and restorative dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and Florida Dental Association.
Dr. Almanzar and his wife Kelsi Almanzar met on a dental mission trip in Jamaica. They are passionate about helping people through dentistry. Since meeting they have also participated in a dental mission to Guatemala, offered free dental care to those in need in Atlanta Georgia, and worked in community health. They have two children, a 3 year old girl and new born baby boy! They enjoy spending time with family, biking, traveling, good food, and relaxing at the beach! In 2021 they moved to Stuart, Florida and are enjoying exploring Port St Lucie, Stuart, Jensen Beach and the surrounding areas.
Dr. Matheny has been in practice for over 20 years. He graduated from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. After dental school he completed a one year General Practice Residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia. He then relocated to Bridgeport, WV where he worked with another dentist for 5 years.

For the first time I visited this place and I can say that I love it!!!! They have excellent staff, very attentive and fast. They have good prices and payment plans that help get your smile back. They are my favorites as of now. The attention is great. Incredible prices. The staff is very sweet. I recommend them 1000%. They speak Spanish and English too!!

I cannot thank this office enough as I took my children 14 and 19 to another local dentist and was told between both boys they had 18 cavities. After going for a second and third opinion I found one had 2 cavities and one 5. That is a huge difference in not only cost but the emotional toll it took on my children. When I presented this to the dentist saying one had 7 and one had 11 cavities they had nothing to say, nothing to support their findings and no apologies. What were they going to do just drill unnecessary holes in my kids mouths? Sarasola Dental had multiple chances to make things right and never did. I am very thankful for this dentist and will continue to refer them. I thank my friend Tammy E for suggesting your office. Thank you

My smile is restored! Dr Matheny and staff are true professionals. From check in to check out, this office truly rocks. I have had crowns, whitening, and several cosmetic procedures performed. The staff is well trained and Dr Matheny explains each procedure in detail. Painless dentistry at its best!

I hated going to the dentist so much, it just was not something that came easily to me and the amount of anxiety before going ended up delaying procedures that I needed because I was constantly avoiding appointments until I came to this office. Laura at the front desk is amazing, so kind, and knowledgable, the front office staff as a whole is wonderful. They greet you warmly, know you by name when you walk in, and are just so welcoming. My favorite dental hygienist, Courtney, always does a wonderful job in cleaning my teeth. She is super thorough and leaves my teeth feeling great and clean but she is NOT rough and never has me feeling like my teeth are sore which has happened at other dental offices. Everyone is family friendly, I have had to bring my kids to the office a time or two, and I could not be more happy with Dr. Matheny or any of the amazing staff here. I am so glad I found this office!

Dr. Matheny is a caring, understanding person. He reassured me that the veneers I had done by my dentist in NJ, about 3 weeks ago, were just fine. Except for a minor detail that can easily be fixed, there is no need for any adjustments. He explained that it takes time for my muscles, lips and tongue to adjust and also for me to adjust to having a new set of teeth. Dr. Mathey answered all of my questions thoroughly. I was obsessing for the past 3 weeks and now feel relaxed and reassured. Since it was a complimentary second opinion, it didn't cost me a penny for his time and expertise. I am most grateful.

My Hygienist and Dentist were clearly very well educated. The front desk staff was professional and knowledgeable. The office was clean and oraganized. I wanted to come into the office as a regular patient without informing them of my past career as a dental assistant for 38 yrs. because I did not want to be treated any differently nor my family, I highly recommend St. Lucie Center for Cosmetic Dentistry for all your dental care needs.

Go somewhere else unless you like getting overcharged. Last year I overpaid $201.00 even after telling them my Insurance pays 80%. This last visit for a extraction I reminded them of what they owned me "before " seeing Dr Matheny, big mistake. He charged over $1000.00, normally $400 or so.Then he wanted $514 out of pocket. He then billed my insurance with Dr Almanzar, his "out of network" partner. That's illegal....I've always had to fight his office to get my money back, but never to this extent. So NO don't go.....TO BE FAIR, after my insurance and the dental office were notified I did receive a credit in my bank account.

Had a great first visit today at St Lucie Center for Cosmetic Dentistry! The front desk was so kind and my hygienist Courtney did a fabulous job on my cleaning. Dr Almanzar was very thorough and I will be getting Invisalign with him soon. Highly recommend their office to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Great staff! Great experience! Laura, Alex, Danielle, and Julieta were super accommodating and friendly. The Dr. does everything he can to make sure his patients are comfortable and informed about the procedures he is performing. A great local business that deserves much credit for their exceptional customer service and patient care. I am very glad I found a new dentist I can trust. Will recommend to friends and family!
