Our family dentist team is dedicated to providing each patient with the same level of quality care and compassion that we would want for our own children.
Dr. Susana Perry (Dr. Susie) was born in Havana, Cuba and moved to Miami, Fl at the age of 9. She attended the University of Florida where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences. She received her Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree also from the University of Florida, where she met Dr. Laura and quickly became friends. While in dental school, Dr. Susie completed several mission trips to the Dominican Republic where she was able to provide dental care to adults and children in need.
She proceeded to complete her residency and post-doctoral certification in pediatric dentistry from the University of Florida. She received extensive training in all areas of dentistry for children preventative and restorative dentistry, growth and development, craniofacial anomalies, trauma management, conscious sedation, behavior management, general anesthesia, as well as interceptive and comprehensive orthodontics.
Dr. Susie has completed research in the areas of caries etiology and protective factors. Some of her work in caries research in children and factors in saliva that may be protective against decay has been published in the Journal of Dental Research (Oral Arginine Metabolism May Decrease the Risk for Dental Caries in Children, Journal of Dental Research, July 2013; vol. 92, 7: pp. 604-608., first published on May 2, 2013). Dr. Susie is fluent in both English and Spanish. Since completing her specialty training in child dentistry she has been working in private practice in Gainesville.
Dr. Susie is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, and Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Along with her husband, Dr. Joshua Perry, son William and Labrador (Piper), Dr. Susie now lives in St. Johns County and is very excited to join and serve the community here.
Dr. W. Vaughn Holland is a fourth generation dentist who grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Holland graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition.
He continued his education at the University of Florida College of Dentistry where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a DMD degree. He was then honored by being selected to pursue a customized dual specialty program in both Prosthodontics and Orthodontics, making him one of less than ten such doctors in the United States.
Dr. Holland has decided to limit his practice to orthodontics. His extensive training in both orthodontics and prosthodontics uniquely qualifies him for the more complicated cases including but not limited to: children with congenitally missing teeth, adults with interdisciplinary needs, and treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders. Dr. Hollands true passion for his craft is evident in his education in both restorative dentistry and orthodontics. His goal is to provide his patients with every available treatment option in order to achieve the optimal result, both aesthetically and functionally.
When he is not pursuing his professional passion, Dr. Holland can be found spending time with his family. He and his wife Vanessa stay busy raising their two young sons Blake and Cody. Together they enjoy neighborhood walks, fishing, weekends at the hunting camp, and cheering on the Florida Gators.

Dr. Laura has seen both of my girls since their first appointments. My oldest is 11, and she's always seen Dr. Laura. She is amazing! She is kind, gentle, considerate and knowledgeable. We are thankful for her and all the staff. The office is run so smoothly. This is truly a wonderful place to take children for dentistry.

I CANNOT say enough good things about this place. We've been going almost 2 years now and it's such a pleasant experience every time. Had a couple non-routine visits, chipped tooth today for example, and they do everything they can to help you, explain to you the situation, potential problems. But also assure you that things are probably fine, just keep an eye, etc. They don't push procedures at all like regular dentists, they explain what can be done, and then explain when certain things aren't necessary. They are not money hungry at all, excellent dentists, excellent hygienists/assistants. I will definitely keep bringing my kids here and keep recommending this place.

Absolutely amazing office! My kids loved it! Every staff member were soo sweet and helpful but Shout out to Dennisse and Sara and Dr. Perry, who literally made my kids feel comfortable to the point where they can't wait to come back! I live northside of Jacksonville but they are worth the drive!

I'm coming here for years we love this little dentist office. Steph is amazing and kind. Almost as if they become family after so long. The dentist patient and caring and will work with your child and whatever their needs may be. Highly recommend. They have TVs in the back for the kids to watch and headphones to watch a movie while they're waiting.

We just relocated to the area and have had two experiences at St. Johns Pediatric Dentistry. On both occasions, from start to finish, the entire staff was friendly, welcoming, efficient and professional! I cannot begin to say enough about both Dr. Holland (orthodontist) and Dr. Laura (dentist). Both Dr. Holland and Dr. Laura are class acts!! Dr. Holland did an amazing job with fitting my daughter for a new invisalign and personally came out to speak with me about her progress and treatment. He did an amazing job and clearly wanted both myself and my daughter to be happy with the results. Her beautiful smile was testimony to our satisfaction! Dr. Laura personally walked my teenager to the check out counter and was eager to speak to me about her appointment which included filling a small cavity. My daughter was completely comfortable and happy and later that afternoon, Dr. Laura called me to check on her. I have never experienced anything like that! After many trips to the dentist and for much more invasive treatments, I have NEVER received a call from the dentist! Truly amazing! If you are looking for a professional and friendly practice with a one of a dentist and orthodontist, look no further! Thank you Dr. Laura, Dr. Holland and the Staff at St. Johns Pediatric Dentistry!!

I cannot thank St. Johns Pediatric Dentistry and their entire staff enough for our recent care at their office. We were on vacation just before New Year's when my sons accidentally collided playing football causing one of their adult teeth to become very wiggly. It was hard to find someone b/c many offices were closed for the holidays. My local dentist found St. Johns Pediatric Dentistry for my son to be seen. Not only did they see my son, but they stayed open late for us and everyone was so incredibly sweet. They had already taken my insurance before we arrived so they could take him right in for an x-ray. Everyone was extremely kind, welcoming and helpful. We couldn't have had a better experience. We are so grateful they were able to see us and for taking such good care of my son. They made us all feel so welcome and we'd be lucky to have them as our dental office if we lived close by. Thank you!

The doctor spent so much time with us and I'm just so grateful for this practice and wonderful team. the doctor even takes the time to call and check on the child after the procedure. also the office space is amazing they have all these wonderful things for children i n TVs on the ceilings, toys after a procedure and the waiting room has a like a small playgroundu. The only suggestion I would make or it would be good if they had weekend hours for working parents but still they're very accommodating with the time and schedule that you're able to work it in

My daughter had some dental work today with Dr. Sullivan. Initially my daughter was scared because the dental work required her to be numb. The staff continually soothed her answering any and every questions she had. I was already impressed with the way they handled the situation of a frightened nine year old, BUT a few hours after The office Closed Dr. Sullivan called to check in on her! The sweetest gesture and most credible thing we have ever experienced!

Our experience was amazing! My son loved the office, the staff, and the toy machines! A special thank you to Madison and Dr. Susie for making him comfortable and working through his nervous fear of the dentist office. I will continue to make the 1 hour drive from our home to their office for regular visits because they have proven it to be more than worth it. I will highly recommend their office to anyone in need of pediatric dental treatment!
