As a Board-Certified Endodontist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Sullivan operates a private practice in Jacksonville, Florida with two locations. His endodontic certificate, Master of Science in Dental Sciences, and DMD degrees were awarded by the University of Florida. Additional degrees include a second Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado and a Biological Engineering Bachelor of Science from North Carolina State University.
Prior to his transition to dentistry, he served as a forensic engineer with Knott Laboratory in Denver, Colorado as well as a Process Engineer with Bayer Corporation in Clayton, North Carolina. During his endodontic residency, Dr. Sullivan presented his research at annual meetings of the American Association of Endodontists at locations including Vancouver, Orlando, San Diego, and San Antonio. Professional organization affiliation includes membership in the American Association of Endodontists, American Board of Endodontics, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and Jacksonville Dental Society.
Educational and employment endeavors have given Dr. Sullivan the opportunity to live in seven states, two countries (England and Australia), and St. Thomas. He enjoys volunteering his time with such organizations as Give Kids a Smile. His wife, Dr. Laura Sullivan, also operates in private practice as a pediatric dentist St. Johns Pediatric Dentistry. They have three children Tucker, Grace, and Anders. As a family they enjoy their time together participating in many outdoor activities including paddle boarding, wakeboarding, fishing, and snowboarding.
Dr. Thomas Currie is a Board-Certified endodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He earned his Endodontic Certificate, Master of Science in Dental Sciences, and DMD degrees at the University of Florida. Additional degrees include a Master of Science in Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Science in Psychology, also from the University of Florida.
During his endodontic residency, Dr. Currie presented his research at the American Association of Endodontists annual sessions in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Washington, DC. In 2014, he was presented with The Top Ten Research Oral Presentation Award by Dentsply. Professional organization affiliation includes membership in the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, Jacksonville Dental Society, and the Northeast Dental District Association. In addition, he has gained experience in providing endodontic therapy for adults with developmental disabilities and the underserved population through state programs established by the Agency for Persons with Disabilities and the Florida Department of Health. He also donates his time back to the University of Florida and is an adjunct clinical instructor in the post-doctoral endodontic clinic.
Dr. McClure is a Board-Certified endodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He graduated #1 in his class from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and earned his Endodontic Certificate from Tufts University in Boston. Originally from Virginia, he received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Dr. McClure takes a special interest in new technology, incorporating the most effective techniques in CBCT 3-dimensional imaging, microsurgery, and root canal disinfection. As a strong believer in evidence-based dentistry, he stays current with the latest endodontic literature, adopting the most effective clinically proven materials and methods into his technique. Aside from treating patients, Dr. McClure enjoys teaching, having served as a lecturer and clinical instructor at Tufts University. He has volunteered in numerous Mission of Mercy events (Harrisburg, PA, Roanoke, VA, and Springfield, Va), and provided free dental care in foreign countries Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
Dr. McClure is a member of the American Association of Endodontics (AAE), Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society, American Dental Association (ADA), Florida Dental Association, Northeast District Dental Association, and Jacksonville Dental Society.
