I asked for a quote on getting my wisdom teeth removed, made it very clear that I just wanted an estimate of the cost as I was looking into a few places. I was told I needed a consultation and was not told until after the fact that it was $130. The lack of communication and misguided information was very unprofessional. As soon as they told me the estimate, which was 3x the price of other places I knew I wasn't going to go here. They charged me anyways all for a 5 minute pep talk on what wisdom teeth removal looks like. This place is a scam and did not do anything about my complaint.

Everyone was nice but tje Dr. Extract the wrong tooth $ even after I mentioned it twice.He would extract the right one for another $ 400 .But I kust payed upu to pull the wromg one

I had one tooth removed. I was given the bill at the time prior to the tooth being removed. I paid that bill in full at that time. A month later I received a bill in the mail for twenty-five dollars stating it was for COVID-19 additional PPE. I talked with their financial office and the billing person at the office. They made several excuses. It wasn't the amount that bothered me but the additional cost after the fact and that I was being charged for COVID.

My husband Michael was St Augustine Firefighter before he was suddenly diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. Everyday his care comes with challenges. I noticed that Michael had broken his back molar and was was in pain. Dr Johnson's office got Michael in right away. Everyone in the office was extremely compassionate and tender in caring for Michael. I am beyond words thankful for how quickly and carefully they took care of Michael so he could be pain free. Dr Johnson and his staff are very skilled and experienced and I truly appreciate what they have done for Michael in his time of need.

I highly recommend Dr. Johnson! I have been receiving Botox from Dr. Johnson for the past five years and I love that I am seeing a maxillofacial surgeon instead of a nurse practitioner for the injections. He always does an amazing job with placement and I love the peace of mind that comes with knowing he is using quality product. Plus, Cristina, Melanie and Theresa make the visit super welcoming!

This office is top notch in customer service! From the moment I was frantically calling to get an appointment ASAP to how quickly they were able to work something out to walking in & being pleasantly greeted by the lovely ladies behind the desk. The dental assistants were just as pleasant & caring. Dr Johnson was kind, thorough, & patient during consultation. I had my consultation on Tuesday & then scheduled for surgery Thursday morning (today). This morning, I was promptly & pleasantly greeted by the lady at front desk. (Sorry I am awful with names!!) I was early, so she let me know that they are doing a quick morning meeting & then they will be ready for me. I didn't wait long at all before I was brought back. The assistants were again very pleasant to be around which helped make my nerves calm down just a tad I had my bottom right molar extracted. I was not sedated, just had my mouth numbed. I didn't feel any pain, just some pressure. Dr Johnson talked through step by step what he was doing which helped calm down my anxiety. He was very caring asking how I was doing throughout. He finished the extract completely in no longer than 15 min. I was thoroughly impressed with this Doctor & office staff! I highly recommend them!

I cannot begin to say how nervous I was to get my Wisdoms extracted. I was in so much pain. These guys took away all my anxiety. They had me in and out within an hour, and I did not feel I pinch of pain! Hahaaaa, Mrs.Linda was very sweet, and very confident which was a major part in clearing my anxiousness. I was very comfortable. If you need to get extracted. Dr.Johnson is your guy. Don't hesitate, call an make an appointment, you won't regret it! Thanks y'all:)

First visit to this office and the staff was amazing! They made my daughter feel less scared about having her wisdom teeth removed. Excellent job Theresa, Joe, Linda and Doc. See you soon

Very helpful and quick. I never had any doubts or concerns when dealing with my wisdom teeth removal or recovery. I've had molars removed elsewhere but this was worlds better for comfort and efficiency.

At 50 years old with extreme anxiety I can say this man can do any surgery I need! Amazing and Jo amazing. Comfortin, explanatory every step if the way! Every singe person in that office so kind, polite, funny!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Johnson and his staff are awesome! My son had his wisdom teeth extracted and was very anxious prior to surgery. They were extremely kind and caring. He calmed down and did great! Highly recommend Dr. Johnson!

I don't write many reviews and definitely none this lengthy, however, I feel this is a unique situation deserving of a lengthier review. In 2016, I was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the street and I was not expected to survive the night. I was placed in a medically induced coma for a month due to severe traumatic and anoxic brain injuries. All of the bones in my body from the waist up including my sinus bone were either fractured or broken. In addition, my jaw was fractured and most of my teeth had been ripped out from the impact. During the next two years I went from surgical ICU, to rehab, I had various medical procedures, I was treated by many specialists and I also had physical, occupational and speech therapy. I had so many injuries to recover from that other less severe injuries just had to wait. A lot of life changing moments. In 2018, I met two doctors that changed my world in incredible ways: Dr. Douglas Johnson, DMD, my oral surgeon and Dr. Greg T Russell, DMD, the dentist who designed my permanent lower plate. This was such an exciting time for me because for two years I had been trying to eat with barely any teeth and what little I had left were severely broken. First, I met my dentist, Dr. Russell. When he examined me he couldn't even determine where my bite was or had previously been due to all the trauma I had gone through. But in all honesty, it didn't help matters that my oral hygiene had been severely lacking prior to the accident either. My dentist eventually referred me to Dr. Johnson, a top oral surgeon, he said that he highly recommended and had worked with on several occasions in the past. He thought it would be a great idea for the two of them to consult on my case due to the special circumstances and I was obviously going to need a good surgeon. Upon consulting, they both agreed that it was going to be tricky because I was such a mess! It was finally decided that I was able to support a normal denture up top, however, my jaw could not support a bottom denture on it's own. So Dr. Russell would create a customized permanent plate for the bottom that would be held in place by 5 implants and Dr. Johnson would perform the much anticipated surgery. When the time came, both doctors actually had to close their practices for the day so that I was their one and only patient! Dr. Johnson and his staff are so professional and knowledgeable. They explained everything to me before hand and answered all of my questions so that nothing would surprise me. He then performed a very long and intense surgery. I was medicated but awake, something I had been very afraid of but always reassured by the staff. It took many, many hours, but then it was over and I was ok. I can't say enough good things about St. Augustine Oral & Facial Surgery. Dr. Johnson and his wonderful staff managed to make me feel comfortable under very uncomfortable circumstances. Over the last 2 years of follow up, I have to say they have all become pretty much like family to me! Now I have my finals, a new bite and even a beautiful smile! I feel like a new women health wise, finally getting rid of a dental hygiene problem and correcting the mess left from the accident. I also enjoy being able to smile again without being embarrassed and the fact that I have so much to smile about! Not everyone gets a second chance at life but by some miracle here I am. Now, almost 4 years after the accident, I am enjoying life again, very thankful for each and every day that I've been given and for all of the wonderful people who have helped me on my road to recovery. Would I recommend St. Augustine Oral & Facial Surgery? In a heartbeat. 1000% YES!
