Born and raised in Phoenix, Dr. J earned a bachelors degree from Arizona State University, and is a 1984 graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He is a member of the Spear Education Continuum that is a prestigious alliance of leading edge dentists throughout the United States and Canada who are strongly committed to promoting oral health. Dr. J retired from the Richard V. Tucker cast gold study group that is an organization designed to foster excellence in restorative dentistry through a relatively uncompromising format in postgraduate education.
Dr. Jorgensen served as the Central Arizona Dental Society President in 2004 2005 after 6 years as a board member. He is a past chairperson for the CADSs Peer Review Committee. Dr. J was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists in 2004 and as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists in 2005.
Dr. J has a been a previous dentist volunteer for the St. Vincent de Paul Dental Clinic and every February, he participates in the Give Kids a Smile campaign sponsored by the American Dental Association.
Terri, born in Michigan, raised in Phoenix has been married to Dr J since 1992. They have one son, Stephen who is currently living in Chandler. Terri enjoys taking care of their granddaughters, Briella (2012) and Olivia (2017), hiking and working out, some golf when time permits, and especially enjoys traveling throughout the world. Terri helps out in the office in many different ways, her first love is Zoom, loves those white teeth, very rewarding. She also helps the front office accounting, payroll and where ever else she is needed. Back office Terri enjoys records and pouring up models.
Meet Amanda our insurance coordinator. Please be nice to Amanda since the dental office IC is a time consuming thankless job. Amanda grew up in Portland Oregon and also has spent time in Reno and Las Vegas Nevada. She has been fighting the good dental fight since 2015 and really enjoys getting to know our Squaw Peak Dental patients. Amanda has 3 brothers so she knows how to cope with our challenging male customers. Crafting is her jam and she has her own craft room at home with her beau Brennen.
Beverly became a dental assistant in 2010. She loves all aspects of dentistry. Its a rewarding feeling helping patients with their dental needs. Beverly is happily married to her husband Trevor and has a beautiful baby boy named Damien (11/2002). When not in the office she loves just being a Mom.
Elena, one of our wonderful hygienists, moved to Phoenix from Russia in 1997. She is happily married to Patrick and enjoys biking, hiking, watching movies and reading her time away from the dental office. Elena is very dedicated to the oral health of her patients. Elena strives to learn new and exciting procedures to give her patients the best treatment possible
The Squaw Peak Dental team wouldnt be complete without our talented Melissa. She is the consummate dental assistant. When Melissa isnt fixing smiles she loves being a mother of 5 with a couple of grandkids to boot. She was born and raised here in Phoenix where she graduated (some time ago) from Tolleson High School. We are lucky to have such a talented and fun and upbeat positive dental professionals.
Amy is a new dental assisting graduate that is looking forward to helping our Squaw Peak Dental patients with their oral health. She is the mother of an aspiring cheerleader. Amy and her husband enjoy spending time outdoors when they are not attending their daughters cheerleading events.
Alma was born and raised in Phoenix. She enjoys taking morning walks at the park, hiking, watching shows and going to concerts/festivals. Alma has been in the dental field since 2015 as a dental assistant and then she decided to pursue a career in dental hygiene at Fortis College and graduated in December of 2019. Alma enjoys educating her patients on how to improve/maintain their gum health.
Deanza was born and raised in New Mexico. She enjoys being in nature and traveling. Spending time with family is important to Deanza and she really appreciates music and live music concerts. She is passionate about growing in all areas of her life. Deanza is excited to take care of the Squaw Peak Dental family of patients.

I have been with D J over 25 years and I have absolutely NO complaints! Not only is he awesome, his staff has always been the same. I needed plenty of work done and there was no judgment at all, made me super happy and comfortably at ease with that. Very clean office, great explanation of the work needed and done, clear communication. Obviously the reason he's been my dentist 25+ years. I've always hated going to the dentist. I had terrible experiences in the past with other dentists who were mean. Going to the dentist was always a source of anxiety for me. However, a few years ago I asked some friends for good dentist recommendations and one friend highly recommended Dr J at Squaw Peak Dental. Dr J and his team informed me of the work I needed done in the most gentle way. No judgement, no shame. Every time I visit them they ask about my family and it's always a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend them to others!

Ive been cleaned by the Squaw Peak Dental for almost my whole life and I've never had a bad experience with them. They are always friendly and hospitable, wouldn't recommend a better place to get your teeth cleaned and checked up. :)

I have found my lifetime Dentist: Dr. J! Dr. J listens carefully and is a master of dentistry. I love how he communicates very clearly with my concerns and my dental needs. He is the best dentist I have ever been to. Professional. Courteous. Amazing! I have been coming to Dr. J for over 15 years now. In that time, I switched to another dentist when my employer was no longer near his office. It only took one visit away from Dr. J to get me to come back. His office is wonderful and I am willing to make the drive from Gilbert to get my dental services here. Give his office a call for your next dental visit; you will be glad you did.

Hey, stop avoiding the dentist and come and see Dr. J!!!!! Absolutely the best dentist in Phoenix. He's a very understanding dentist who does not judge or chastise at all. He understand the difficulty with oral care and only wants to make sure the patient is healthy. I literally had a hole in my back chomper and expected the doctor to tell me it's yanking time. Nope, Dr. J took the time and effort to save my tooth and I have all of them still!!!! The staff is professional, entertaining, and overall everyone is just an Angel!!!!! Dr. Is just the most knowledgeable and freakin the coolest (most cool)

Dr. J and team exhibit an aire of professionalism and class that is far beyond any other dentist I have personally experienced. The level of care attention to detail given to my teeth was amazing - I don't know if my teeth have ever felt this clean! My hygenicist, Karyn, was great at explaining what is happening to my mouth and what needs to happen in order to improve my overall health. She was also incredibly gentile! I'm so very grateful to have found this dentist, and am sure I'll be a patient here for years to come. I'll be referring everyone I know to Dr. J!

I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for Dr. J and his staff at Squaw Peak Dental for solving a problem I thought would be long term and bound to a life of pain. I was experiencing migraines and headaches lasting several days each month. My physician and other doctors blamed it on hormones and advised to alleviate the symptoms with pills and figuring out how to relax. I went through the entire grief process with the thought of and even accepted that I was going to experience this pain for the rest of my life. Dr. J expressed concern for my teeth and gums and recommended a night guard to help keep my jaw from clenching, and teeth from grinding. I did not expect to feel an immediate relief from head or neck pain, but I did! Waking up and working throughout the day without head and neck pain has given me a more positive outlook on who I am and the interactions I have with others. Being aware of even the tiniest of details can have a major and even positive impact in your life. Thank you, Dr. J. and fabulous staff, for being aware and advocating for my health and wellbeing. Was very nervous to go to any dentist after having a bad experience before. But Squaw Peak Dental really made me feel welcome and helped me to get past my hesitation. The entire staff was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, explaining each step in my process and making sure I understood and was comfortable with the process. I definitely recommend anyone try them out - you won't be disappointed!
