My old filling came out and I was able to be seen on short notice. Dr Patel and the staff are very helpful and courteous to me, and I got a new filling done without issue. Highly recommended!

We (myself & my wife) had missed dental appointments due to pandemic. We returned back to care of this well experienced, caring and kind dentist. Her staff is also courteous & efficient. Both; myself and my wife; are physicians and have gone through rough time during pandemic. We believe that we are fortunate to have Dr. Patel's services available to Troy community. You will not be disappointed with her care.

On my first visit here I thought I had met the best dentist. She help create a plan for my teeth until i missed an appointment because of the temporary filling she placed ended up falling out which cause my tooth to get infected so she didn't know if she can fix so she refer me to specialist. I felt like they showed they true colors didn't really want to help afterwards.

Dr. Patel is the best dentist I have ever visited. She does a great job helping the patient understand what is going on with their teeth and is all around a great dental professional. I recommend her to all.

I found this location on Google and made an appointment for dental check-up and root canal re-treatment. It was quick and detailed visit. Made an appointment for next day for dental cleanup and cavity removal. They have also provided references for the orthodontists who can help me best for my treatment. It was great experience. I am satisfied and I can refer this place 100%.

I've regularly visited Square Lake Family Dentistry for 10 years now for teeth cleaning, fillings, and wisdom tooth removal and have had a great experience every time. Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable and very thorough when taking care of my teeth and giving me guidance on treatment plans. Their office feels clean and safe and follows all Covid 19 safety rules.

Update: My mom and I visited here after a very long time of not going to the dentist, so we didn't have a grasp on how much cleaning, filling, or x-rays were. However, after asking around other people and places we realized we paid around 2-3x more than the average place. The dentist also kept selling me other procedures during my visit, worded in a way that confuses you. I wasn't sure if it was included or extra charge. I was surprised to see a big charge in the bill, but I assumed it was how it usually was. Now I know, it wasn't. If you have no insurance, they take advantage of that. -- I was nervous to visit here after 5 years of not going to the dentist, but the staff made everything so smooth and painless! Not only is everyone super friendly, Dr. Patel makes sure your treatment process is the best for you. As soon as I signaled discomfort, I didn't feel it again, and she was prominent in explaining the reason behind the problem. Overall, the facility is clean, takes appropriate covid-19 precautions, and I had a wonderful experience. I also brought my mom, and plan to bring in my dad for cleaning as well!

Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable and caring with her patients. I'm not often in town, but they always find a way to make time for me with little notice. I feel very comfortable in the office (especially during Covid) and recommend it to anyone!

Just want to start of saying, I have not even seen the doctors here or have been to the actual practice, so this review is not about them or the location. This review is based off of Priyanka. I emailed asking if they do mucus cyst removal and sent a picture along with for reference, so the doctor could take a look if need be. I got a response saying "yes he does, but without seeing we wont be able to give any commitment", I get wanting to see in person to fully examine it, but I did send a picture and explained in my email that I had this cyst looked at two years ago by a doctor in LA and had it removed/burned off two years ago and that it obviously came back, which can be common with any type of cyst. I still was okay going forward with it because I just want to get this removed because its bothering me when I eat, so I then proceeded to ask what the estimated out of pocket-money cost would be if my insurance didn't cover it and that I am currently on blue cross complete (medicaid because of the ongoing pandemic putting my place of work under and taking me off my health insurance I had had with my work benefits). If I had to pay out of pocket that would be fine, I just wanted to know the estimate price point to expect if that would be the case. Her response after I said I was on blue cross complete at the moment was "In that case i would suggest to go to oral surgeons specifically ..." Obviously, this is done over email so I can't know the type of tone that was given when Priyanka responded, but with the ... added to the end, doesn't really give the impression of a sincere tone or even close to a professional one. Also, the fact that she was willing to schedule me for a 'limited exam' before I mention blue cross complete and then once I do mention that, I am being told I'm better off to go to oral surgeon instead does makes me definitely think twice and wonder.... I was fully willing to pay full out of pocket if need be, only wanted an estimate price quote if I did have to end up paying out of pocket for the removal of the cyst in case the insurance did not cover it. In LA, I had to pay $250 out of pocket with my then insurance Blue Cross/Blue Shield, so I was expecting that it may be the same case with Blue Cross Complete and had no issue with paying out of pocket if need be. My response to her after her telling me to go to an oral surgeon instead, "So I can't even get a possible estimated quote then if I had to pay out of pocket? That is a little odd." I suppose this office only takes 'certain' clients and may not understand that in 2020, a lot of people have recently been put on medicaid simply because of their place of work being closed/shut down which then takes away your work health insurance .... will take my 'blue cross complete' and 'out of pocket money' elsewhere. Very annoying and immature.

Staff is very friendly. It was my 1st time with Dr Patel. She is amazing. She explained all my issues and their treatment in a simple manner. Looking forward to my next appointment.

My family and I have been coming to Square Lake Family Dentistry my whole life. Dr. Patel and her family are like family to us, now, and she and the staff have seen my siblings and I grow up. I've never dreaded coming for check-ups, and I'm glad that I've had such reliable and consistent care. Now that I'm in college, the office staff works with me to schedule appointments for when I'm back for breaks and holidays. If I'm still in the area when I have a family of my own, we'll be coming here. Thanks for 20 years of care!
