Dr. Mark D. Sheklian has lived at the Jersey Shore for most of his life. He attended Manasquan High School in 1972, followed by Purdue University in West LaFayette, Indiana, earning his Bachelors Degree in biology in 1980. He then earned his Doctorate from Temple University, Philadelphia in 1984.
Dr. Sheklian has had extensive continuing education since graduating dental school and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry as well as a graduate of the prestigious Dawson Academy for the Advancement of Dentistry.
He enjoys spending his free time with his family and participating in a variety of sporting activities, running being his true passion. You may see him participating in local races and volunteering with the Jersey Shore Runners Club. Dr. Sheklian has never considered any other profession than dentistry and cannot imagine doing anything else. He enjoys speaking with his patients and getting to know them; learning about their personal and professional lives as well as their dental needs. Dr. Sheklian is a good listener and knows that the patients confidence and trust is only gained through complete honesty. He carefully communicates each diagnosis and any information patients will need so they can choose how they want to proceed with their treatment.
