Dr. Paul Stevens is very excited to be a part of the Sprout team. After graduating dental school in Kentucky, he served in the US Navy as a general dentist for four years. After his military service, he completed a rigorous residency in pediatric dentistry from Oregon Health Sciences University (Portland, OR) where he focused his practice on medically complex, developmentally delayed and underserved populations. Upon completion, he moved with his family to Idaho.
He and his wife have three children and love to call Boise home. In his spare time, he loves to scuba dive, ski and be with his family. His favorite cuisine is Mexican street food and diet coke with lime. His personal philosophy is treating all patients and parents like family.
Kristal was born and raised in Idaho. She married her high school sweetheart and they have four beautiful children together. She is a busy mom chasing her children all around. From dance competitions to basketball tournaments and all the things in between. Kristal has 15+ years of experience in the dental eld. She brings clinical, administrative and management skills to our ofce. Kristal is passionate about dentistry and enjoys the high ves and big smiles that come along with pediatric dentistry.
Deleah was born in Boise, Idaho and was raised throughout the Treasure Valley. She graduated from Caldwell High School. She comes from a blended family with multiple siblings. In her spare time she and her husband enjoy escaping into nature. They enjoy taking their kids camping, four-wheeling and exploring the outdoors. She has a passion for children and loves working in the pediatric eld.
Q: What is your favorite movie/book?A: Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman ' Always throw spilled salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck and fall in love whenever you can. '
Sarah was born and raised in Seattle Washington. She moved to Boise in 2015 to continue her education. She graduated from Dental Assisting school in 2017 and began her dental career in general dentistry. Sarah found her passion in dentistry is caring for children and made the career change to pediatrics. Sarah has been with Sprout Pediatric Dentistry since our doors opened. Sarah is married and they have one beautiful daughter together.
Amory has lived in Boise for 5 years. She graduated from Borah High School. She played the french horn and trumpet in Marching and Symphonic Band. Amory is the second of ve children. She pursued Dental Assisting and obtained an Associates of Applied Science at the College of Western Idaho. While externing, she grew to love pediatric dentistry and feels privileged to be a part of the amazing Sprout Squad!
Q: What is the best vacation you have been on?A: I was able to travel to Germany for three weeks and got to see Neuschwanstein Castle (the castle that inspired Disney's castle). My favorite vacation with my family was to Washington D.C.
Yvette grew up here in Idaho with three younger brothers. She loves country concerts, and spending quality time with family and friends. Yvette graduated with expanded functions as a Dental Assistant. She originally started her education in early childhood development allowing her to utilize her skills with pediatric patients.
Q: What do you like the most about your job?A: All the amazing kids I get to work with. Its so much fun, I love that no single day at work is the same. Its great connecting with all of the kiddos and making their visits easy, and fun!
Shayna moved to Idaho from Seattle in 2021 with her sister and family. Shes been a Certied Dental Assistant for 6+ years. She found her love for pediatric dentistry 4 years ago and loves it. She has a passion for her career and is proud to be a part of the Sprout Squad! Shayna enjoys hiking, being outdoors and spending time with family.
Melly was born and raised in Nampa, Idaho. She graduated from Dental Assisting school at Milan Institute. She enjoys working with kids and loves how children are so funny and can make your entire day. She enjoys sports, especially basketball and soccer.

My daughter has special needs so when it comes to dealing with her dental hygiene, it can be challenging. The staff at sprout pediatric dentistry did a wonderful job I felt my daughter was an excellent care of very knowledgeable, staff and left having a great sense of confidence she would be taken care of.

I love Sprouts! My son has SPD and the staff here has been SO accommodating. I highly recommend them for all kids especially sensory kids. Yvette is amazing and so good to my son, we've seen her a few times and always look forward to our visits with her. She's our favorite but we do love everyone else we have had here too!

I absolutely LOVE Sprout! I have a very anxious kiddo when it comes to dental work. Sprout is the only office that agreed to going slow with him to work on giving him positive experiences and going at his pace and work towards not having to go under anesthesia each time he had dental work done. They have already built his trust and he loves the staff who works there. Highly recommend taking your kiddos to Sprout

My son Robby is in his twenties and is a nonverbal person with severe autism. We had a concern He might be in pain and Dr. Schmitt made time to see him the day we called. This was our first time with Dr. Schmitt and her and her staff treated Robby wonderful! They walked him through step by step with basic and clear language and were very patient. Robby ended up needing to replace a crown. We have never had dental treatment outside of a hospital. Dr. Schmitt and her staff made it so comfortable for Robby he was able to make it through the procedure without any problems. We feel so lucky to have found Dr. Schmitt and Sprouts. They are a wonderful resource for families like ours.

My daughter has had problems with her teeth since they day they started coming in when she was just a baby. I've been to 4 other dentists trying to find a clinic I am comfortable with and confident in. Dr. Paul is amazing, comforting, and excellent at what he does. I have nothing but great things to say about him. Sarah - and all the assistants - really take their time making kiddos comfortable. The clinical staff is great, but special shout out to Kristal! You can just tell she is incredibly organized and thoughtful. She helps all things insurance/billing not seem so stressful. You will not find a better clinic

I love bringing my girls here! My oldest daughter struggles with listening especially in a strange place and she followed directions very well with the staff. My youngest has stranger danger and cries at the Dr's office, but she was totally fine here! It's decorated really cute too, they love to see the animals on the wall and play with the toys while they wait. Definitely our go to dentist!

My 3 year old had his first dentist visit today, and oh my goodness it was better than I could have imagined! Let me start off by when we walked in we were immediately greeted, the lobby was extremely clean, with a slide in the main lobby for the kids to play while your sitting, and then a little hide away play place for extra toys. We waited for about 5 to 10 minutes (had to fill out the questions) and the most bubbly woman took us back. My son is extremely shy and does not usually interact with strangers. She was perfect! Very energetic, kind, patient, friendly, positive, warm and made us both feel so comfortable. He was interacting with her and did everything she was asking. She made it so much fun! He was not scared AT ALL!!! She was encouraging him with positive feedback, she kept saying I'm so proud of you! It was amazing! The doctor was very kind and patient as well, he was informative and very prompt! The main area for teeth cleaning was just beautiful! Very bright and open! With 3 bed tables all had little tvs to watch on the ceiling, fun animal paintings on the walls and very calming colors! Overall just a very warm, kind and happy place. I am just thrilled to have found this place for my little one.

The dentist is very knowledgeable and takes the time to educate and explain things. My kids feel very comfortable. The clinic is a great setup for young children. Great place to go if you have multiple children.

Chose Sprout due to their reviews, I was not disappointed. Great with explaining to me, answering questions and taking care of my 14month old daughter. Very clean and very nice staff.

Everyone is so wonderful - front desk staff, the dental assistants, and Dr. Stevens. I appreciate how patient and kind they are with my daughter. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

I called for a non emergent but urgent visit as my 4 yr old hit his mouth and a slide. They got him in quickly and were very sweet. We've come for my kids annual and bi annuals so he knew what to expect. I felt the dentist provided essential information to watch for and reassured me that his teeth were ok. Very pleased with this office staff!

Zero stars!!! This lady and doctor ryan Judd practiced in fruitland idaho where a child DIED under both of their care because they weren't monitoring the anesthesia levels. Dont be fooled or lied too. The boy was taken back and 6 mins later he died, mom was not allowed to be back there either. Google it, boys name was angel...

My son (7) has multiple disabilities and I was dreading this dental checkup but by far this was the BEST appointment we've had! The staff was incredible and when I mentioned little sis had never been to the dentist they said "let's get her checked out too!" wow! My son did so much better than I expected thanks to Yvette & Dr Paul! A great first experience for my daughter and she is already asking when she gets to go back. I highly recommend them for kiddos with disabilities as well as neurotypical kids. They had a quiet room where my kids were seen (because my son has lots of sensory challenges) and even a small office to go over paperwork so you're not fussing with scheduling at the check out desk. Thank you Sprout Pediatric Dentristry for the great experience .
