Dr. Justin has been a pediatric dentist practicing in the DFW Metroplex since 2012, and he never gets tired of being able to help children escape dental pain and improve not only their oral health, but their general mood in a matter of minutes through his care! His goal is to use his knowledge, skill, and passion to empower children and their parents to better care for their oral health by showing how simple and fun dental visits can be. Dr. Justin studied martial arts since his youth focusing on Shaolin Kung Fu, Judo, and Tai Chi at Yees Martial Arts Academy in the California Bay Area. The mentorship, discipline, and leadership skills he learned from his Grandmaster Sifu John Yee and the Yee family served as a foundation for his approach to life. Grandmaster Yee and his family always stressed the importance of compassion and helping others. As a part of his martial arts training, learning to teach and lead class was also a part of the curriculum. It was through the interactions with his fellow classmates as both a student and a teacher, Dr. Justin developed his passion for educating and empowering children.

In addition to his interest in working with children, Dr. Justin also was inspired by his childhood dentist and orthodontist. Dr. Justin fondly recalls his parents taking him to his dental and orthodontist visits. The importance of caring for his oral health and the magnitude with which good healthy and happy smile affect a persons physical, mental and emotional health. This led him to seek a career in dentistry to help others care and improve their own oral health and quality of life.

During college and dental school, Dr. Justin continued his involvement with community service focusing on working with children. Aside from his studies at New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD), Dr. Justin was heavily involved in leadership roles with the Pediatric Dentistry Club, and Community Service Club which organized frequent outreach programs, charity events, and oral health screenings for children in New York City. He was motivated by a great mentor at NYUCD, who inspired and empowered his students to enjoy pediatric dentistry. Dr. Justin considers him extremely fortunate to have continued learning from amazing faculty and mentors during his residency at Montefiore Medical Center. The joy that came from helping children improve their oral health and quality of life grew from his interactions with like-minded professionals who went above and beyond to bring smiles to the faces of the children they interacted with.

As a parent himself and with his own personal passion for working with young children, Dr. Justin understands the importance of choosing the right dental professionals for your children. Patch Adams. Dr. Justin tries to make going to the dentist fun, easy, and stress-free for both child and parent. He is inspired to create an environment encouraging smiles and laughter while improving the health of children physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Dr. Justin was originally born in San Francisco and raised in the California Bay area. However, following completion of his dental training, he decided Texas would be a great place to raise a family and has enjoyed putting down roots in the McKinney area. He and his wife, Sayaka, have two daughters Erin and Maia. They also have three rescue cats Shio, Mugi, and Ume. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with loved ones, meditating, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and practicing martial arts!

Dr. Sage truly loves and enjoys being a dentist. He finds joy and is passionate in helping kids smile brighter. His patients love the way he is able to help them feel comfortable, as dentist visits can be intimidating. Dr. Sage believes that not all treatment plans are one-size-fits-all, he believes that listening to the familys priorities and needs are essential in providing quality and meaningful dental care. He also thinks pediatric dentists have much more fun on a daily basis than their general counterparts. He is excited to meet and help your family with all your dental care needs.

Being a dentist was not Dr. Sages first calling; he has had the opportunity to excel in other careers before becoming a dentist. He studied electrical engineering in college and then worked as a mortgage banker before making the switch to his true passion!

Growing up in Korea, Dr. Sage remembers everyone being able to access quality dental care. Once he and his family moved to the states, he was not able to take advantage of quality care they been used to due to the lack of proper health insurance. He still believed that everyone should be able to access the health and dental care that they need and be able to have access to caring and considerate doctors. He chose to make a career change that would make a lasting impact on peoples lives. Dr. Sages experiences have helped him shape his perspectives and provide a strong sense of responsibility to advocate for compassionate and quality care for his patients.

While in dental school, he knew instantly he would study and specialize in pediatrics. He is a natural with children and families, he loves to help his patients feel at ease. He cherishes the work he does now with helping kids obtain their best smiles and excellent oral health, it truly is his dream job!

Dr. Sage loves playing golf. He is continuously taking lessons and working to improve his technical skill. Dr. Sage also loves working on the landscaping around his home. He finds the process of tending to his own lawn and taking care of all the plants therapeutic.

Dr. Sage has enjoyed living in the Dallas area since he moved here from Boston in 2015. He and his wife Heather have a daughter named Genevieve and are expecting another little one on the way! They share their home with six chickens and their dog Lucky, who is smart enough to brush his own teeth. Whenever hes not busy at work, he spends quality time with his loved ones, plays golf and works around the house. They recently moved to a ranch house, and he really enjoys tending to his lawn around the property
