Dr. Andrea completed both her Bachelors of Science degree and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at The Ohio State University. While in dental school she fell in love with the idea of working with children, leading her to pursue training in Pediatric Dentistry as a specialty. 6-8 months ago, I had my kids both scheduled for a cleaning and they denied us bc they needed to get personal information regarding their fathers insurance even though I had the insurance card and today, we had another cleaning scheduled and since it's been "2 years " my kids are considered new patients and they won't take new patients over the age of 12. They have strung us along so much now that we now have to find a new dentist bc of their nonsense! Do not go here!

My youngest daughter had a serious medical emergency on the day of her appointment. I called 6 hours prior to her appointment to cancel and reschedule. But because she was a new patient they will not ever take her as a patient. (Even though my 2 older kids have never missed a appointment with them.) I'm disgusted with how rude the receptionist was with me. She didn't even want to give me other locations my youngest daughter can go to. I will no longer take any of my kids here. I highly DON'T recommend this office EVER!!!!

10/10 do not recommend. Unprofessional and rude. After 2 rescheduled surgery appointments, due to abiding by their own covid policies, and a trip to the er for an infection she failed to diagnose and treat properly, she decided to drop my child as a patient and cancel his surgery due to canceled appointments. She won't answer her emergency line or return phone calls for emergency follow up appointments. My child is terrified of the dentist and she didn't have time for a child that has extreme anxiety. God forbid you have to reschedule any appointments due to their own covid policies. I know lots of people probably have great experiences, but I and my child are not one. Do yourself a favor and find a new dentist before she drops you and never returns a call for emergencies.

My son had a dental infection which led him to end up in Children's hospital. They told us after starting overnight he could go home the next evening as long as we could follow up with his dentist. Three phone calls later the office still hasn't contacted us. He began to develop a fever again a few weeks later, fearing the infection had returned we left a message on her emergency line.... She did not return the call. I called her office and was basically written off..I never leave these kind of reviews but I'm fuming. We will not be returning.

It would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the unkind receptionist, Taylor. I was so disappointed to answer the phone and hear someone so monotoned and that didn't seem to care about my call or concerns because this office has been OUTSTANDING since I've been bringing my daughter. Taylor seemed very annoyed from the start of the call (before any information was given) and at one point put me on hold before I could finish my sentence... I just thought it was rude. :( But, maybe she was having a bad day... who knows! <3 Other than this experience, we have always had the best experiences at this office! It is kid friendly, clean, safe and they're willing to work with your schedule. This office came highly recommended when I was first looking to bring my daughter somewhere and we're so glad to have chosen this office. If you are looking for somewhere to bring your children (for dental needs) this office is truly spectacular!

Incredibly rude and incompetent staff! Horrible experience! Do not recommend to anyone! For full story read ahead! When I first heard that Springfield had a Pediatric Dentist I was over the moon! I was born and raised in Springfield and currently live in Columbus. Our pediatrician referred us to Springfield Pediatric Dentistry when we realized my daughter had a lip tie at 4 months old. I was thrilled! Not only did I think having a Pediatric Dentist was a wonderful addition to the Springfield Community, but I was looking forward to being able to take my older children there for routine care when we move back home in the near future. The initial consultation went well and we made the appointment for the lip tie procedure in about a month (enough time for Insurance to approve the procedure). I called the Springfield office multiple times the two weeks prior to to follow up and make sure Insurance had received and approved the procedure. I was told consistently by Taylor at the front desk that "we haven't heard yet but we will soon and will let you know either way." I continued not to hear anything from them until The Friday before the procedure when I received a call from Taylor confirming the appointment that was to take place the following Monday. When I asked if this meant they heard back from insurance, Taylor told me they had not yet and the person in charge of insurance was out of the office but that I could call back first thing the day of the procedure to make sure that we could still follow through. Monday morning rolls around and we received two different stories. They called me and left a voicemail saying they did not hear back from insurance and we would need to reschedule. They told my husband that Dr. Myers was not able to come in that day and that we would need to reschedule. They also then told us that we would need to retake the pictures to submit to insurance. When I asked Taylor why this was happening, she was very rude and continuously told me she didn't know and that this was just what she was told. We decided to take matters into our own hands and call insurance to see what the problem was. Insurance informed us that the claim was never even submitted! I called back and again, talked to Taylor. I asked to speak to the manager or directly to Dr. Myers and was told that I was not able to. Taylor put me on hold and when she returned, told me they were going to go ahead and do the procedure that day. Suddenly the Doctor was back?!?! When we arrived, Taylor continued to be rude. Not answering questions, no eye contact and basically making us feel unwelcomed. Everything seemed incredibly rushed and uncomfortable. It was very evident that the staff and even Dr. Myers were annoyed with us for following through with insurance and expressing how displeased we were. At one point Dr. Myers even said she was going to examine and determine if my daughter even needed the procedure and if she thought we should do it she would go ahead and if she didn't think so then she wasn't going to do it. This was confusing as we had already been to a consultation and were told by both my pediatrician and another Dr. in the practice that her lip tie was very tight and she would definitely benefit from the procedure. After examination and rushing through the explanation of the procedure and recovery process we were told she would go ahead with the procedure. The procedure itself was very quick, which I was grateful for! Dr. Myers handed my daughter off to me to calm and nurse and told me she would be back shortly to check in. At no surprise, Dr. Myers didn't come back- she sent in someone on the staff to let us know we were free to go. NO ONE EVEN CHECKED ON MY DAUGHTER OR LOOKED AT HER LIP AFTER THE PROCEDURE!!!!!!!! We were handed a piece of paper with what to do next and scurried out the door. I have since called my pediatrician to let them know about this horrible experience and told them they should take SPD off of their referral list and I most definitely will NOT be taking my other children here!

Very rude..my son came down sick and is diabetic during COVID-19..she told me I couldn't never come back and then apologized and rescheduled..She then called back rudely saying they needed to cancel ..my son couldn't be seen anymore. I got upset.she made me cry...Im a single mom of 5 ..kids get sick. She was rude and hung up on me. I called the other office asking to speak to a manager. The worst place ever to go! Only worried about their time and not yours. My daughters appointment was at noon and they took her off the schedule at 11:00an when I called to confirm the time talking about well I thought you weren't going to come! I NEVER said those exact words AT ALL!!! Since this happened and she "missed" her appointment they are no longer going to see her!! Like what! You took her off the schedule, it's not even her appt time yet & im in the parking lot!!! I wouldn't even give them a star at all but you had to click one in order to post!

1. Incompetent (or dishonest) billing department Billed for $900 in excess of insurance negotiated rates. I had to complete the research on my own to determine the correct amount owed to the office. 2. Apathetic staff o Office made threats of collection activity despite telling me weeks prior that my account was in good-standing while "insurance issue" was being researched. No phone calls or letters were received telling me otherwise. o Staff failed to promptly schedule an appointment for my daughter whose mouth was hurting in the area where Dr. Myers completed work. I was told that because of the "account status" an appointment could not be made until the dentist approved. By the time the dentist approved, I had already made other arrangements and was sitting in the lobby of another dentist office waiting for my daughter to be seen. 3. Unauthorized release of personal information to another dentist office. After being told that service may be declined because of "Account Status", I made another appointment with a different dentist and informed the office staff that the referring dentist would be made aware of the situation. While at the other dentist's office, a phone call was received by that office and the status of our account was released to that office. This was an unprofessional and very offensive action. This violated our trust and patient confidentiality. 4. Office released my family from practice for "extreme and inappropriate behavior" and refusal to pay incorrect balance. Although we had no intention of returning to the office, my family was released from the practice after I confronted the office manager on a phone call about the release of my information. My voice was elevated and my tone angry but language used was respectful and professional. I was told that because of this and my refusal to pay the incorrectly billed amount, I was to be released from the practice. The letter releasing us from the practice stated we were being released because we opted to employ the services of another dentist. 5. No apology received after providing and paying the office the corrected balance. I spent several hours of my personal time compiling explanation of benefits from the insurance company and calculating the correct amount. This office submitted 12 separate claims for one date of service. Many of the charges were duplicates. This seems entirely dishonest. The dentist office was billing me for $1470 however I calculated based on explanation of benefit documentation that the actual balance due was $510. Evidence was provided to the office supporting my research. This calculated amount was confirmed as accurate by the billing staff. The amount was accepted and balance paid in full. No apology was ever received for the office's mistake. I do not recommend this office.
