A third-generation dentist, the desire for perfecting smiles runs in Dr. Lees blood. Dr. Lee received his orthodontic certification in 1979 after completing the post-doctoral program at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Lee has lectured both nationally and internationally and has been published in a variety of dental journals. He has been Chairman of the Department of Orthodontics at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center since 1985.
During his 30+ years of practice, Dr. Lee has received numerous honors including being named President of the Union County Dental Society and President of the International Association of Orthodontic Study Groups, and receiving the Rotary Clubs highest honor, the Paul Harris Fellow. Dr. Lee is an Elite Provider of Invisalign, having completed hundreds and hundreds of Invisalign treatments, including his own.
Dr. Brett prides himself on providing top-quality orthodontic care for his patients in a relaxed and professional atmosphere. He enjoys developing friendly relationships with his patients while consistently providing the highest level of care.
Dr. Brett has been with Springfield Orthodontics since the spring of 2007. He received his Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Binghamton University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, and then completed a three-year postdoctoral residency at Stony Brook University receiving his orthodontic specialty certificate. He is on staff as an attending orthodontist within the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Department of Dentistry.
Dr. Brett is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, and he serves as the Chair of the Council on Membershipof the New Jersey Dental Association representing the Union County Dental Society, of which he is the current President.
Dr. Brett grew up in central New Jersey and now resides locally with his lovely wife and two beautiful daughters. He is an avid sports fan (go Giants!), enjoys outdoor activities, and loves spending his free time with his family and friends.
Dr. Dana graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Rutgers College, where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where she finished in the top 10% of her class. She then completed a Masters in Oral Biology and Certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Maryland. During her training in orthodontics, Dr. Dana worked as part of the Cleft Lip and Palate team at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center. She is also Invisalign certified. Dr. Dana is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Dana grew up in central New Jersey and met her husband while they both attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Dr. Dana and her husband have a young daughter, Leora, who brings them both much happiness. They are animals lovers and their family also includes two cats, Nory and Clarence. Dr. Dana is conversational in Spanish and enjoys learning about other cultures. She believes it is important to give back to your community and has made philanthropy a key part of her professional and personal career. While at Columbia, she organized several outreach programs with the surrounding community. Dr. Dana is currently involved with Sunrise Day Camp Association, a nonprofit that provides free day camps and in-hospital programs to children with cancer and their siblings, where her husband is a director.
Dr. Dana chose a career in orthodontics because she believes that every person deserves to have a great smile and she loves seeing her patients develop confidence in themselves and their smile. She looks forward to many more smile transformations at Springfield Orthodontics!

My daughter wore the braces almost two year. Dr. Brett is our main Dr. we had a very good experience! Dr. Brett is really professional. Another thing I really like is their appointments are always on time. We never had to wait more than five minutes to be attended.

Dr. Brett has completely transformed my kids' smiles. He is an amazing orthodontist! Great experience from start to finish. From the initial evaluation, the financing discussion, and all the appointments, Dr Brett and his staff were amazing. Especially during COVID the office staff took all necessary precautions to keep both the staff and the patients safe and healthy. While us as parents were kept informed I especially appreciated how Dr Brett spoke directly to the kids and kept them accountable for all things related to caring for their braces. I'm doing so our kids were motivated towards keeping them on track for the glorious day the braces come off. We have one more child who will need braces and there is no doubt we will be back. We highly recommend Springfield Orthodontics to anyone seeking an orthodontist.

I love Springfield Orthodontics. Dr. Handsman is awesome he's been our doctor the entire time, very thoughtful and great with kids. Both my kids and my husband have all had work done, we've been patients there for about 6 years. The entire staff is very professional and you get a high level of care. Amazingly professional but with a "family feel". Everyone in my family looks amazing and happy!

Dr. Dana and her team were absolutely amazing. I researched many orthodontists before choosing her and I definitely made the right decision. Dr. Dana is knowledgeable and attentive, always making sure to explain your treatment, focusing on your goals. She also worked closely with my periodontist and determined the best long-term treatment for my teeth. Springfield Orthodontics staff is amazing as well, easy to schedule appointments and even call in for emergencies. Now that I have my braces out I cannot believe how good my teeth look! Thank you!

My children have been coming to Dr. Brett since 2012 and to say I am pleased is an understatement. Dr. Brett has transformed their teeth into beautiful smiles. He is very knowledgeable and is very patient when I ask my questions (ha ha)! The staff is very friendly and helpful. My son has been seeing Dr. Handsman since fall of 2016 due to overcrowded teeth issue. Last Friday, he finally had his braces taken off and he now has a set of beautiful teeth -- straight, aligned and most importantly the overcrowding issue was resolved and all adult teeth came in properly. The treatment worked and the entire experience was pleasant! Dr. Handsman is a true professional. He took time to diagnose and explain to me the treatment options. Cost and insurance were also clearly laid out by his office staff at the beginning. Once the treatment started, he and his staff attended to each visit with care and friendly conversations. The office environment is warm, friendly and fun, and the wait time was kept at minimum. I highly recommend Springfield Orthodontics to anyone who needs orthodontic work, kids or adult, you will have a pleasant experience.

I had the pleasure of trusting Dr. Brett with my Daughter's dental care. Dr. Brett provided a digital version of what my Daughter's teeth would look after 4 years of wearing braces. The comprehensive plan of attack included widening of her jaw & teeth removal. Dr. Brett explained the timeline needed & the out of pocket expenses I should expect for the entire procedure. As predicted, the process took 5 years and my Daughter has the most beautiful smile imaginable. Dr. Brett has a gentle touch & he's a specialist when it comes to young people.
