Dr. Mike has over 20 years of pediatric specialty experience with a primary focus on the needs of kids to put them at ease during their visit. He has a passion to ensure that oral health is available to anyone in need.
Dr. Leah Barshinger grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She attended The University of Iowa for both her B.S. and D.D.S. degrees. She then completed her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at The University of Iowa (Go Hawks!).
Dr. Tyler Whiting is a Pediatric Dentist who was born and raised in the White Mountains of northeastern Arizona into a large family. He has been around children his entire life, and takes special pride in helping children feel at ease coming to the dentist.
Dr. Adam Ward grew up in Albany, Oregon, and prior to that has lived all across the Pacific Northwest. He and his wife, Jessica, have been married for seven years. They have one energetic boy named Henry, who pretty much runs the family. Dr. Ward loves Oregon, from the rain to the trees. He speaks Spanish, is an avid runner, movie quote buff, and song aficionado.
Dr. Ward completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University. After receiving his degree in Nutritional Science, he attended Oregon Health and Science University to earn his D.M.D. During dental school he was invited to join the OKU dental honor society. He was grateful for the chance to stay in Oregon longer while he completed his orthodontic residency and received a Masters of Science in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.

Best kids dentist! The staff are so friendly and calming. They make the experience enjoyable and my niece isn't even scared to come in. Also, Dr. Jimmy is an amazing dentist! Highly recommend coming here!

We love it here and appreciate everyone that works here. My 5 year old gets very anxious at the dentist and anyone we've ever dealt with has always been very patient and understanding.

I have had both positive and negative experiences a at Oregon Family Orthodontics....the orthodontists and assistants have all been kind to my daughter and compassionate when she is having a hard time with the discomfort and pain...we rarely get the same person twice though so I wonder if there is a big turn around here, also it can be very difficult to get an appointment, even when it's urgent. My negative experience was when we were 12 minutes late and they told us to reschedule our appointment.....I had to pull over so that my child could go to the bathroom and I called 5 minutes before her appt to let them know and they said that they had a 10 minute late policy and they might have to cancel. Well we walked in 12 minutes late. First they kept us waiting 15 minutes, then they canceled our appointment. I was frustrated and felt suspicious that they had overbooked and had a staffing shortage and we had to be the ones to pay the price.

Beautiful office, friendly staff! So thankful we have found this place for our 4 kiddos. Also appreciate the orthodontic and oral surgeon referrals they offered. Would highly recommend!

I AM MORE THEN ANGRY WITH THIS OFFICE, WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS OR MY APPOINTMENT INQUIRY ONLINE FOR MY 5 YEAR OLD WHO HAS A VERY URGENT MATTER AND I HAVE TAKEN HER TO ER TO GET HELP SINCE NO ONE WANTS TO GET BACK TO ME THEN OTHER PLACES SAY WE WONT EXCEPT KIDS THEY NEED TO GO TO A OFFICE for kids. I am done thanks alot for keeping my baby in pain for more then 3 months you all are horrible.

Been taking my granddaughter here for the past 3 years for cleanings and some actual dental work and the staff have been amazing. My granddaughter tends to be really nervous about this kind of stuff and she has had absolutely no hesitation when it comes to her "going to the dentist."

Called to get my son seen to get cavities filled. They got him in for a new patient appointment 2 weeks later! He was scheduled for his appointment to go under, to fix his teeth 3 months later. They called a month later, and were able to get him in that next week! His previous dentist didn't have an opening for over 9 months. We have loved our experience with Springfield Kids Dentist!

Our five year old had oral surgery at Springfields Kids Dentist! I cannot thank the entire team enough for their soothing, professional, informative, thorough process, and follow up. I wasn't anxious for my child going under anesthesia after meeting the team. Dr. Whiting and his entire team are very knowledgeable and accommodating! They were incredible. Our daughter bounced back so fast, and remembers nothing! She loves her smile and she's so excited to go back!

I've been taking my child here for a few years. I've never had an issue with the dentists or the dental assistants. They do great work and they all so far have been good with the kids, very kind and very gentle. It's the front desk staff. It's always the front desk... In particular, the check out desk. This woman was rude, didn't listen what I was saying or asking and ended up shutting down, wouldn't look at me, wouldn't speak, wouldn't answer my questions. She didn't even want to see if my basic information was updated, which it wasn't. She wrote my appointment card out and I left.

I have two children that go to two different dentist office. In comparison Springfield Kids Dentist was far more superior than others. From walking into a fun, colorful, and children-oriented waiting room to the individualized "camp sites" where my child saw the dentist was a great experience. First off, the waiting room being oriented towards children made it less scary for my daughter. All the colors used on the mountains gave us plenty for "eye spy" game. Once called back to her "camp site" the assistant talked directly to my child and allowed her input and to be heard. My daughter received a full set of xrays and the assistant made this go very smooth and my daughter did not seem afraid at all. While waiting for the dentist to arrive the assistant chatted with my daughter and I. The assistant was very nice and changed through movies on the screen until my daughter found one she liked. The tvs mounted above the children is a great way to keep my little one entertained allowing for a better experience for everyone involved. Dr. Barshinger came in and completed her exam. During the exam she talked directly to my child and treated her kindly. The doctor even "backed me up" with the 'how to's' and 'don't dos' when it comes to dental practices at home. When leaving the clinic and scheduling the follow up visit my daughter commented a few times on "her dentist". Overall to be able to go and be prepared for a difficult visit and it to turn out as great as it did I am beyond thankful and impressed. Springfield Kids Dentist is the only place my little one will be going to! Thank you to the dentist and assistance that made for a wonderful experience.
