Dr. Nezhad has for over 28 years been dedicating his professional career in the care of patients to enhance their quality of life. He is recognized in providing a wide variety of dental services without compromising treatment quality.
His life story starts with his Persian decent and Pakistani childhood from landing in Middlesboro, Kentucky and early years in Winnipeg and Edmonton, Canada. Destiny brought him back to Charleston, WestVirginia where his extended family and heart lies.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Psychology and Chemistry, at Marshall University, he attended West Virginia University School of Dentistry and was amongst the first in his class to graduate with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1990.
Upon receiving his doctorate, Dr. Nezhad practiced in an underserved area of Chapmanville, West Virginia for 3 years before making his permanent residence in Springfield, Ohio. Dr. Nezhad established Gentle Dental Corporation in Springfield, Ohio in 2003.
He is an active member of numerous dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association and Mad River Valley Dental Society, of which he has been the President in 1990, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017. He has served on the Board of Simon DeChatlet Dental Laboratory and is also committed to extensive continuing education, so he remains current with the latest dental research and new advancements in aesthetic and implant dentistry. His implant training was mentored by the Brady Frank Implant Efficiency Institute and Dr. Jeffrey Gross of the Zuga Medical Training. He has served on the Springfield Community Health Foundation Oral Health Task Force for many years.
His passion transcends the boundaries of the office. His hobbies include being a handyman at home and enjoys riding his hybrid bicycle in the trails of Ohio. He also enjoys travelling the world and exploring different cultures in new countries with his wife (Sangita) and four children (Rohit, Karishma, Manisha, Nadisha). He practices the Bahai Faith and draws focus from meditation. He has been involved with numerous community organizations and event celebrations.
Dr. Rohit Nezhad, a Springfield native, began his journey towards dentistry while attending Springfield High School. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron, Dr. Ro earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from West Virginia University in 2018.
While at WVU, he focused on maximizing his potential in learning by taking on highly esthetic cases and spending time far beyond the required hours in the specialty clinics. Dr. Ro is very passionate about dentistry and is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to satisfy all his patients needs. He is an active member of the ADA, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Ro understands the importance of continuing education and is involved in the Seattle Study Club, a STEPPS mini-residency in implant training, and is enthusiastically pursuing a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, travelling, and watching Ohio State and WVU sports. Dr. Ro is extremely grateful to have the opportunity to serve the Springfield area and is thankful for the support from the community!
