Stay away! The dentist wanted me to go back to my prior dentist and get x-rays on my crowns, which I did and there's nothing wrong with them. She proceeded to tell me that I have gingivitis after a horrific exam where she poked my gums and made them bleed. Wanted me to get a deep cleaning which was not required. In order for me to get a cleaning from her I had to go to a specialist (for what?) because she didn't feel comfortable working in my mouth with crowns.Very unprofessional the way the whole situation was handled especially when she called my prior dentist asking for X-rays. She had her own. That's a whole lot of running around just to get a simple cleaning.

So grateful for Dr. Paydar's office! Had to get in a last minute appt before a big trip, and the receptionist was extremely accommodating to get my information and squeeze one in within a week or two. The cleaning was fast and efficient, and Dr. Paydar & associates were all so kind!

I concur with the previous post from January about recommending unnecessary dental procedure. I felt I was being bullied and manipulated during the entire dental exam and was told I had irreversible gum disease that I needed to address asap despite not having bleeding gums or issues at prior dentist in VA before moving to the area. I stated I wanted a second opinion before I went ahead with the deep clean that required local anesthesia and the dentist was very rude after that. My husband went back to this dentist the next day and she proceeded to show him my pictures and discuss how I needed to get the procdure complete. This is a violation of HIPPA since I signed the HIPPA form not authorizing others to have access to my medical documents. My husband would only have access to financial concerns without my authorization. My husband and I have since seen another dentist. I do not have any gum disease issues requiring any deep cleaning, and my teeth and gums are very healthy. Please proceed with caution when looking at this dental practice. It is run by one dentist who does everything from x-rays to cleanings herself, so there is little room for other opinions.

I would stay away from this dentist. From my experience on 1/26/22 , they are trying to get customers to pay for dental service that is not needed and that the customer insurance will not cover. This was my first and last visit. I visited for for a basic 6 month cleaning, upon arrival presentation was good, customer service was good, friendly. She has all her credentials posted on the wall in the lobby. I thought another good. The Dentist and assistant were nice and friendly and will even listen to you but the dentist is a fast slick talker. After taking x-rays she mentioned she would be doing a test ok kindness make you trust. The test was poking my gum and shouting out random numbers sounded professional at first but midway through sound bit unrealistic to me, then that feeling raised you know that feeling we get when the trust is breaking down. After telling me how good and strong my teeth are after a painful gum test of taking an instrument and poking in between each of my teeth to make them bleed, a test I told her in all my years of seeing a dentist I had never had, she then took pictures after she finished poking so I could see the blood on my gums, didn't have me rinse after poking so I could see the blood, well of course if you touch the gums with pressure they will bleed especially for a set of teeth that are over 45 years old, nothing I wrote on my paper work indicated a history of poor mouth care. She went on and on about how I needed a deep cleaning that required local anesthesia yet telling me how healthy and strong my teeth are and that I have a good set of teeth that people pay for yet convincing me of getting this deep cleaning. She went on showing me x-rays of saying bone underneath my teeth. missing ,while talking even faster, this cleaning would cost $340 two visit of $170.00 ( not covered by insurance ) at first said $110 but showing me two prices on the paper of $35.00 and $55.00 by my calculations that totals $90.00, not to mention discussing what other patients have done to convivence me of the decision, along with these horrible pictures of other people teeth posted up so when you turn your head to the right you see them and your teeth pictures are in front of you, very convincing process they have to persuade customers that they have severe dental problems that should have been my second warning, but the kindness really distracts you. After her exam she never gave me the basic cleaning I initially came in for I came in for, she said that would be doing a dis-serve to me. I proceeded to check out in pain in my entire mouth with no cleaning. to get an appointment for this deep cleaning, in which I would need to have local anesthesia for my good strong teeth. The receptionist said okay the procedure would be $170.00 for first visit , I mentioned the dentist said $110.00, All along feeling uncomfortable , but didn't want to appear to be a trouble maker or seen as the angry Black Women or ungrateful for the kindness but the gut feeling arising that this is not right, leaving with a headache. Upon driving home nothing good settled with me about this dental visit. I had to pullover and cancel that appointment, although I informed the dentist of my medical history and while there she listened to my traumatic dental experience I had in the past she ignored and when I tried to explain to her why I was canceling the appointment for her recommended deep cleaning she spoke so fast and hung up the phone. while today I still have nerve pain in my mouth from the areas she poked. This experience is one of the reason why people are afraid to go to the dentist she just added another traumatic dental experience for me. I shared this story to let others know if it don't feel right its not right. Hope this helps you.

This place has a terrible customer service. I called them to make an appointment for a cleaning and then I was asked if I had anything else that I would like to do and I said that I'd like to see a dentist about another matter that I have to know what would be my next step or to guide me to where to go. The girl got all my insurance informations and said that she was gonna call my insurance to ask my coverage and immediately put me on hold without giving me a chance to say a word about it. She came back after not even a minute saying that they couldn't do my procedure but it was for me to call another place in the same complex. I got frustrated because it made no sense to me as I know that I have coverage for cleaning and for dentist visit for examination. I complained and the girl put a guy on the phone and then while talking to him he disappeared and then another lady started talking to me. By the phone I can tell how terrible and messy this place is. Avoid stress!
