I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my Somerville community and provide top-notch care for our patients. A little about me - I graduated with High Honors from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Genetics. Afterwards, I graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the Dental College of Georgia, where I was recognized as an outstanding student by the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and the Academy of Oral Medicine. I achieved full certification by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Dentistry and am proud to call myself both a Somerville small business owner and resident.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing baseball and basketball and now that I'm a New Englander, I'm learning how to ski. I love cooking and sharing recipes - ask me about some of my mom's specialty Indian dishes. In my free time, you can catch me reading (especially sci-fi) and spending quality time with friends and family.
Its hard to believe I began practicing dentistry in Somerville more than 50 years ago. But lately Ive been reflecting upon that more than usual. Ive been thinking about how fortunate Ive been to have had the incredible opportunity to get to know you and your families, and how so many of you are not just patients, but good friends as well.
It is therefore, with a heavy heart that I must tell you Ive decided to retire. I am gratified to also be able to tell you, that after an exhaustive search over the last many months, I've finally found a dentist to take over my practice whose values and practice philosophy align perfectly with mine, and who I feel confident will continue to provide you with the highest level of care possible.
His name is Dr. Pranav Kaushish. He's already begun working with me, not only to assist me until my official retirement, but also to help affect a smooth and proper transition before he ultimately takes over the practice. I urge you to please make him feel welcome.
Dr. Kaushish is a graduate of the Dental College of Georgia, where he was recognized as an outstanding student by both the Academy of Oral Medicine and the Academy of Maxillofacial Radiology. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has been working in the Boston area for several years now and is excited to start taking care of your dental needs.
By my observation he not only has remarkable skill and versatility as a dentist, he also has a terrific chair side manner. Rest assured, with Dr. Kaushish as your new dentist, you are still in excellent, steady hands, and will continue to enjoy the level of care you have come to expect and deserve.

I've been going to Dr. Kaushish for two years, and in addition to brilliantly diagnosing and solving a tooth problem I'd had for years, he and his practice have been warm and friendly and I'm so happy to have found them.

I've been coming to Dr. Kaushish for 2yrs now. I am extremely satisfied with the level of care and service I receive every time I come in. Scheduling is seamless and easy to do. Sam and staff are extremely friendly. Cleanings are painless and efficient. 5/5 stars.

People usually come to a dentist for teeth cleaning or to fill a cavity, which I undoubtedly do, but I also come for the A+ experience Dr. Kaushish provides all his patients. Gonna be my dentist for the rest of my life!

I'm always pretty nervous at the dentist but everyone here made me feel right at home. My hygienist, Sam, was incredible. So careful and gentle and also funny and easy to talk to. They used a high pressure water tool to do the cleaning which is so much better and more gentle than the metal scrapers. Dr. Kaushish was also super friendly and easy to talk to. I normally dread the dentist but I won't dread my next visit here.

Everyone was so friendly- Dr. Kaushish welcomed me at the door and he was super personable during my first visit today. My hygienist Sam was super gentle and they use ultrasonic tools so the cleaning wasn't painful at all. Fun to talk to as well. So glad I switched to this dentist! Cannot say enough about it. Thank you so much!

Dr. Kaushish expertly handled a filling that fell out. The filling had previously been worked on by multiple dentists. Each time, it fell out after 1-2 years. Dr. Kaushish repaired the filling and it is still in great shape almost four years later. He was extremely kind and carefully explained the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Kaushish. He's a terrific dentist and an excellent person.

Visited with Dr Kaushish this past weekend, had a fantastic experience. He is a fun guy to be around and was simply BORN to be a dentist. It's as if god himself sculpted his body from a slab granite with the dental profession in mind. His long fingers were able to get deep into all the cracks and crevices of my mouth for my cleaning. Highly recommend Spring Hill dental, and Dr. Kaushish in particular!

I am a person who is extremely anxious to go the dentist. I often feel that I am getting shamed for cavities and overcharged for things I do not need (like mouth-guards). A few years ago I stumbled into Dr. Kaushish's previous practice and I knew this would be my dentist for life. Dr. Kaushish never makes me feel bad for my teeth, never overcharges, and provides practical sensical suggestions to increase my dental health. I leave feeling that my teeth are in good hands. I've recommended Dr. Kaushish to many of my friends and colleagues, and they've loved him too. I cannot recommend him more highly.

Is it possible to have fun at the dentist?? And get amazingly good care?? It's hard to joke with a mouth full of equipment, but it worked. Excellent dental work and chairside attention. From first check-in to the 'stay safe' good byes, the entire staff is wonderful! Drill On!!!
